BIG PROBLEMS with you theme (incorrect library loading)
I asked a coder to find out, why nearly every third party plugin crashes the widget aree. (they disappear) he answered the following:
in the front end, your theme is loading older jQuery library (v.1.6.4) from Google CDN – WP comes with jQuery 1.7 by default, so there is no need to load an older library from a third party server. While I’m not 100% this is causing the problem, you have also jQuery UI library loaded twice – this in 99% of cases caused an issue with my plugin in the past. It looks like that your theme is loading jQuery UI from Google CDN as well, but I think its loaded incorrectly, otherwise there wouldn’t be a duplicate loaded by plugins. WP requires all scripts to be loaded via wp_enqueue_script() function – this function queues all scripts and makes sure the same script is not loaded more than once, plus it manages dependencies. I assume that your theme loads some of the scripts incorrect.
He advices me to tell you the following:
Tell the theme developer that the jQuery and jQuery UI libraries have to be loaded via wp_enqueue_script() functions and their handles need to match the default handles ‘jquery’ and ‘jquery-ui-core’ that are being used by the WordPress, otherwise there is always a possibility of duplicate libraries being loaded. Sorry for the inconvienciene. the theme is marvelous. But this problem is not solved, I can not use it so… we have a problem here.

I don’t know which theme your ‘developer’ was looking at, but it was not this one.
1. There is no Google CDN jQuery in CooolZine
2. There is no jQuery UI in CooolZine, not once and not twice, and most certainly not from Google CDN .
3. The scripts in this theme are being loaded according to WordPress coding guide lines. Take a look at the functions.php
4. Many people have used this theme without a problem. While it’s not possible to consider every available plugin out there, the majority will work with this theme.

“mydomain.de/author/admin/”
Is it possible to hide/disable this author page in search results somhow via theme? I mean I would like to see my homepage or so instead of this author page.

this has nothing to do with the theme. Have a look at the SEO plug-ins on WordPress.org, some of them can exclude/include pages from the index.

I’ve been setting it up and all is great but I can’t figure out how to make the “Header” bar work. In your sample there is a header with large links to categories like “Business,” Lifestyle,” etc.

I bought the theme however i want to use it on a site that used to use custom fields for the post thumbnail. Without having to go back and manually upload images to almost 100 post, is there anyway to make this work so it shows the old thumbnails as well as the new ones? I tried some plugins on other themes like get_the_image but they are not working with this one.

this theme uses WordPress native functionality. If you need to display data from the custom fields your previous theme created, you’ll need to create a custom PHP code. Since this is an individual situation, there will be no plug-ins so solve it.

1) Is it possible to make video posts on this theme, using video in post preview?
2) Are widget areas with and height fixed?
3) When selecting Socialize on post, and there are comments disabled or no comments yet, only 1 (fb) sharing option will show and fits into the screen, is there option to fix that?
