Clean and very nice theme. Good luck ‘66Themes’
Very good looking theme. This theme seems to have so many features!
Putting it on my purchase list!
Thank you for the kind words, it’s much appreciated!
Cool theme. Congrats.
Very nice theme. One question – how hard is it to add custom form with various field types (e.g. dropdowns, checkboxes, radio buttons, etc.)?
you should take a look at the Contact Form 7 plugin for this. I highly recommend it. It makes setting up and managing any form as easy as it gets.
This is great, thanks! So stylings for the fields in the form would be applied pretty much automatically I assume? Icons for different form fields are controlled by “data-icon”?
The styling is indeed applied automatically. For the icons, the input element has to be wrapped in a paragraph tag with, you guessed it, the data-icon attribute set. I’m sure the plugin has an option to achieve this.
Nice work! Good luck
What is the problem when I get this message when activating the Theme:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function array_replace_recursive() in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/crafty/framework/admin/contentdesigner/functions/shortcode.class.php on line 69
Thanks in advance
the problem is you need to have PHP version 5.3 running on your server for the array_replace_recursive() function to work.
Try updating PHP on your server.
That did the trick! Thanks
Is it possible to have a static image and have the arrows removed on the homepage instead of a slider?
Yes, it’s possible. You can just select the FlexSlider as the slider of your chose and enter one image. Because the slider only contains one image, it will automatically disable and hide the controls.
Is this theme compatible with Word Press 3.5.2? I just downloaded this theme and cannot get it to run without the White Screen of Death, even after multiple installs/reinstalls and deactivating plugins.
I’ve got it running fine on WordPress version 3.5.2. Is your PHP version up to date?
The PHP version was the cause of the problem; it was a later version. I updated the version on my hosting site and the issue is now resolved—thanks!
Ah glad you got it figured out
Enjoy your purchase!
I installed the theme earlier today, have played with it for a bit, and ran into an issue with the blog page.
I created a page called “Blog” and selected the “blog” template, then set the “reading” WP settings to use this “Blog” page as the posts page. However, when I visit this blog page, the top of the page seems to be hidden and displays only a loading symbol (as if it is trying to load a slider). You can scroll down a bit and see the end of the posts, but the top of the post’s page is completely cut off.
Regular pages and the individual post pages work fine. But the post list/blog page seems to have the issue. I see the issue in the most recent versions of chrome and safari.
you do not have the set the blog page under Settings -> Reading. Just create a new page, select the Blog Page template and you’re good to go!
Worked like a charm. Thanks for the quick help!
Is there any need for activating the 19 plugin’s listed in the documentation?
Can I add a custom background?
go to Appearance -> Theme Options -> Styling. There, you can set a site-wide background pattern or color.
I’ve upped “header .leftArea .logo” to have a max-height of 60px to fit a larger logo. However I noticed that, on the two smallest screen sizes, the theme centers the menu and search box, but not the logo container (logo is still floated left). This happens even without the custom max-height/when using the default logo size.
Is there an easy way to alter this to align the logo center for these screen sizes?
that’s really strange, the logo should be centered. Do you have a demo page I can take a look at? You can send me a message from my profile page if you don’t like to post the URL in public.
What on earth do I have to do to get the slider on the homepage working. In my opinion I have done everything as it should but the slideshow isn’t taking off, but only shows the rotating circle.
Can you summarize the conditions in order to troubleshoot and to get it working?
Instructions on how to setup the LayerSlider is included in the documentation.
I’ve also included an export file for the LayerSlider from my demo so you can work from there. You can find it in the plugin folder for LayerSlider included with the download.
If I didn’t followed the instructions in there I wouldn’t ask the question here…
Did you try using the export data for recreating the demo slider?
Are you getting any console errors?
When I want to add or edit a text with the content designer, the wysiwyg editor is not functioning, and therefore I can’t use the content designer. What can be the case?
Yes it’s a know issue when using a language other than english. To fix it, please do the following:
rename this file: wp-includes/js/tinymce/langs/wp-langs-en.js to wp-includes/js/tinymce/langs/en.js
That did the trick! thanks!
I would like to create menu choices from the categories I’ve created in my Portfolio. These categories are not showing up in my Menu creator. How do I manage that?
you could try creating multiple portfolio pages, and for each page select a specific category to display posts from under the General Page Settings tab in the Content Designer. You can then add these pages to the menu.
that is a workaround however it is not preferable due to the more complex maintenance it comes with it.
If you let me know what is your preferred way of handling this, I can look into adding this functionality to the theme.
Kind regards, 66Themes
Can you remove the slider on the homepage or make it smaller? I am planning to use this for a business and they don’t want the slider at all or maybe smaller. Thanks
You can disable the slider for homepage templates. When in the Content Designer, click the General Page Properties tab. There you can select whether you want to show/hide the slider.
Hi there, this theme is great! well done. However i have a question on the smaller slider on the homepage, where it says “latest products” under the image there is a bit of text and i cannot find where i can modify that text. Please help me!
Once again great theme, Thank you!
Seems like you found a small error, you should be able to enter the description under the General Page Properties tab of the Content Designer, but I noticed it’s missing.
Will add this field and issue an update ASAP! Sorry for the inconvenience.
Oh i see, okay thats fine no problems. I have another question…
Below the slider in the homepage there is a divider of some sort, just below where the style of a shadow is applied, i was just wondering how to remove that because i cannot find that either.
Add the following CSS in the Custom CSS option box in the Theme Options:
Trying to install the theme/upload to server, I get the massage that the theme is missing the following file: style.css stylesheet
I know this is not true as the file is in the zip.
Can you help me find the problem?
make sure you’re uploading the ZIP containing only the theme files.
Thanks, that made the trick. I’m now in action and have another problem. In the “Contant designer” I’m not getting the text editor shown in the video. I create a row, then a half page container (column) and then a text block inside the container. When trying to access the text block to input text there is no access, no cursor and no buttons to edit the text? I’m working from a MacBook Pro using Google Chrome. The same thing happens in Safari and Firefox. If I create text in the normal editor inside the text block, it still does not apear in the text block using the contant designer afterwards. Is there a setting I have missed or something I have misunderstood?
Check out this question, maybe you have the same issue.
Is anybody else having trouble getting twitter in the footer to update or are you also stuck with “loading last tweet…”?
did you follow the steps for setting up the Twitter API outlined in the documentation?
I did but I am still getting the same loading message.
Strange.. Are you getting any console errors in Chrome?
The errors I have on my console are
“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 (Bad Request) http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Arial&ver=3.5.2"
“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://dominictartaglia.com/wordpress/wp-content/themes/crafty/functions/tweet/
JQMIGRATE: Logging is active”
thanks for the info. I’ve noticed a small error in the path to the PHP file which loads the tweets. Please follow these steps to fix it:
modpath: '<?php echo get_template_directory_uri() ?>/functions/tweet/',
Now open functions/widgets/widgets-twitter. php and do the same.
Apologies for the inconvenience. I’ll also incude these changes in the next update!
Thanks Guys! Totally awesome that you are able to help
BTW, It totally fixed the problem
Layer Slider doesn’t seem to work correct in this theme whilst it works perfectly in other themes, as I tested. In Crafty the slider appears in strange formats and the slides themselfs are positioned strange and transition strangely.
And it does in all browsers. (Safari, Chrome and Firefox)
A complete new installation of WordPress (even with an completely emptied database) and new installation of the latest version of Crafty as theme gives this same strange behavior.
Oh and this behavior appears also with the standard demo sliders.
Can you please dig in to this, as the theme is useless at this moment for me, and I assume for more customers. As my site is not publicly accessible I can give you an IP to put in your hosts file to have at my problem.
that’s very unfortunate to hear, sorry the LayerSlider isn’t working as intended. I’ll definitely have a look at what could be causing these issues.
If you could send me the URL of the site you’re working on, that would be a great help. You can use the contact form on my profile page.
Have you received my information via the contact form?
Yes I did and I’ve replied. Sorry to keep your waiting.
