Great theme, i wanna purchase it but, i’m wondering if the main menu graphics (icons) can be replaced with simple text menu ? Greetings!
Hey there,
This is definitely possible, but you’ll have to edit the theme’s structure editing its code. We are not able to provide support for this kind of customizations.

Hi there! Love your theme! I have one question, how can I change the default text on the contact form fields? Thanks!
Hey there,
Happy you like it!
To change the Contact Form input labels you can edit the file located in “includes/module/social-bar.php” on line 192, 195 and so on. It’s pretty intuitive.
-Stefano
Hey, why do my form field in the widget appear small. How do I make them longer.
Lovely theme!
One pre sale question; is it possible to fill the empty space at the left side of a post? The part below the “Autor, Category and Tags” block?
like -> http://themes.opendept.net/creativelife/midlake-concert/
That’s the only thing I’m missing
Thanks!
Hey there,
I’m not really sure about your question. You cannot fill it that area of the layout with your post’s content (from the WordPress Administration), but you could eventually edit the theme’s files to add any element you wish.
-Stefano
Hi Stefano,
I don’t want to use the space for post content, but more like a side bar.
Like this -> http://www.traveljunks.nl/creativelife.png
Maybe a widget is too much work, but some fixed text or an immage/add could be built into the css? I would like to have the lenght as long as the content space, because I use long parts of content and this open space doesn’t look nice in that way imo. Otherwise the template looks amazing and I realy would love to use it
Thanks!
This is definitely possible and quite easy to achieve, but it will require a considerable number of modifications to the theme’s code and sadly we are not able to provide support for this kind of customizations. We can give you some general indications though.

Hi there, I’ve been working on my site (using your theme) for the last couple of months and launched it last week. I thought everything was running smooth but of course, you aren’t really aware of all the issues until other people get to poke around. I use Simple-Press with my website (wodpress is quite limiting when it comes to forum options sadly) and I’ve found this theme has broken some of the forum functions. The biggest 2 problems being when seding a private message on the forum, it won’t auto-fill a recipients name, making us unable to send private messages. The second problem is a java pop-up of admin tools (to approve a post etc). Before coming here, I updated everything that could possibly be updated (forum databases, all the forum plugins, wordpress etc) and all is up to date. I turned off the social bar section as I thought immediately the javascript might be interfering, but it didn’t help. I switched back to an old theme and everything worked fine, which cemented that it definitely is the creativelife theme.
Any suggestions about this? I imagine it will affect a lot of users and simple-press is quite a standard plugin and used by many small community sites.
Thanks.
Hey there,
I’m sorry to hear that, but I’m not completely sure of what could cause this issue. This does not necessarily mean that the problem is caused by the our theme.
Have you tried to disable any other eventual plugin you are using?
-Stefano
Hi, great theme. A few questions: how do you get “Similar Projects” on each portfolio page as in the demo? Also, I’d like to make “Similar Projects” say “Clients” and then be able to have each box be about one of my clients. How/where would I do this?
Thank you!
Hey there,
The “Similar Projects” will appear automatically, displaying other Portfolio Items using the same tags used by the item displayed. You can disable/enable it in the “Layout” tab of the theme’s Control Panel.
If you wish to change its label you can edit the “similar-works.php” file located in the “Creativelife/includes/module” folder.
-Stefano
Got it! Thank you! : )
Good afternoon!
This may have been covered, so apologies if I repeat a previous question. Just on a time crunch and have had no problems with setting up the theme except for one seemingly simple item.
After creating a new portfolio item (I did create the portfolio page) I am able to set the featured image, set the title, excerpt, tags, etc., without any trouble.
The project shows up on the home page correctly, it also shows up correctly on the portfolio page. However when clicking on the project it gets a 404 error that the page cannot be found when you try to open up the actual project page.
I’ve deleted the project, and set it up again and the same problem occurs. I feel like this is probably some option I am missing somewhere, but I can’t seem to figure out what is happening here. The 404 error URL matches the slug and the given custom link at the bottom of the project page.
Any ideas on where this is going wrong and why the project isn’t actually creating a page for itself?
Cheers, Adam
Hey Adam,
This is a common WordPress issue. Can you please try to re-save your options in Settings -> Permalinks and see if it helps? Thanks!

That worked perfectly.
Can’t believe it was that easy and I haven’t seen that problem before. Glad it was such an easy fix!
Thanks again and great theme!

I am thinking about buying this theme and was wondering if the main menu could be easily be changed to have the same effect as the social media icons.
Hey there,
I’m not completely sure about what you mean. Are you asking if you can use a different colour for every menu item? If that’s the case: yes, it’s pretty easy
-Stefano
Hi, I’m having major issues with the sidebars. I’m trying to create the sidebars as instructed. I add the widgets, mark in my post the new sidebar I want displayed for that post. But nothing shows up! My site is http://charlieoliver.me. Currently, I have one sidebar running everywhere (until this gets fixed). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hey there,
That’s pretty weird. Have you tried to de-activate and activate the theme?
-Stefano
I think I’ve tried everything. I don’t get it. The sidebars should be the least of my problems. Pretty straightforward. I even deleted them and tried to create new ones but they still won’t show. : (
I’m afraid that the problem may be related to your WordPress installation. Is there any chance to test the theme on a different one?
-Stefano
i have de following error in the wordpress in all admin pages Warning: curl_exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/theparad/domains/theparados.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/Creativelife/haku/includes/update.php on line 23

Hey there,
I’m afraid that your server’s configuration will not let you use the theme’s built-in update checker, you’ll have to disable it from the “Extras” tab of the Control Panel.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare youtube_shortcode() (previously declared in /..[removed for obvious reasons]…./wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/shortcodes/youtube.php:259) in /..[removed for obvious reasons]…./wp-content/themes/Creativelife/includes/shortcodes.php on line 178Any easy workaround?
There seems to be an incompatibility with the WordPress’s JetPack plugin. We will release an update to make sure it won’t happen again. In the meantime, I’m afraid you’ll have to disable it.

Quick question, is there a way the Picture Gallery Images can be another size other than the long wide pictures? Like can I make the images appear in a different size slider? Say I wanted them to be same width but I wanted it to be a taller height.
Hey there,
To change the slider’s size you’ll have to edit the theme’s files, on our Support Forum you’ll find some help on how to achieve this customization
-Stefano
Hello!
Is it possible to use text in the main menu? If you don’t want icons to appear.
Very nice theme btw! Like it a lot.
Best regards!
Hello,
It is definitely possible, but you’ll have to edit the theme’s files to achieve this customization.
-Stefano
Hi there,
This question concern a 90% order
- Is that possible for the slide to appear in any pages of my blog ? I mean it’s present on the home page but I want it into my blog’s page as well. I did try to edit some php files but no success.
Many thans in advance
Hey there,
All you have to do is open the “homepage.php” file, copy line 18 and paste it on line 2 of the “index.php” file.
-Stefano
Thank you Stafano, it worked like a charm !
Btw super great theme !
I didn’t see any examples of any standard content pages for this theme. Did I miss one in the demo or screenshots? (I’m speaking of non-blog or non-portfolio pages).
If there is no example, I assume this is still possible?
Thanks!
Sure! You can create any page you want, and even have a Control Panel to set their sidebar individually.
