Common WordPress Installation Issues

Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I change/reduce the height (padding) of the header area?

This can be achieved by adding a few custom styles into the “Custom CSS Styles” field in the “Creolio Options” admin area. For example:

/* Header padding adjustment */
body > header {
    padding-top: 33px !important;
    padding-bottom: 33px !important;
}

Please note that if you want to decrease it under 33px. You will have to update the size of the “triangle” as it will start overlapping your logo. Also note this change might mess up the resposive designs so be carefull with it.

How can I update the font-size of all taglines?

The taglines have special classes you could style.
Each tagline has a “tagline”
Each Top tagline has “top_tagline”
Each bottom tagline has “bottom_tagline”
If there is no tagline set, on some pages (E.g. on portfolio detail page) the title of the post is displayed. It has a class of “top_title”

E.g. of a style:
.tagline {
    font-size: 40px !important;
}

Unable to insert image into the content of a post. After using the WP “Add Media” button. Everything goes fine until clicking “Insert into page”. Then nothing shows up in the Visual tab noor the Text tab.

This problem is related to v1.2

On 30.01.2013 we have released an important update v1.3 which solves this issue along with many other improvements and new features. You can view the Creolio WP changelog here. Just download the theme one more time from your Downloads section.

Adding background image to the herader. Is it possible?

This can be achieved by adding a few custom styles into the “Custom CSS Styles” field in the “Creolio Options” admin area. For example:

body > header {
    /* Adding the background image and its properties*/
    background: url('http://themes.ishyoboy.com/creolio/wp/wp/wp-content/uploads/about-me1.jpg') no-repeat top left !important;
    -webkit-background-size: cover !important;
    -moz-background-size: cover !important;
    -o-background-size: cover !important;
    background-size: cover !important;
}

body > header .arrow {
    /* Removing the arrow from header */
    display: none;
}

How can I change the Favicon?

Both favicons are located in “wp-content\themes\creolio”
apple-touch-icon.png
favicon.ico
you can simply replace them.

How can I change the menu font size?

Please enter the following styles into the “Custom CSS Styles” field in the administration under “Creolio Options” section.
