How can I get the background for the menu bar and background for the 50% off select items with newsletter signup to display a similar green color as sub menu headings?

You can easily customize the background for these elements by changing just a few CSS rules.
We’re also working on custom color picker module for Magento, which we hope to finish soon. It will be a part of this theme and our other themes too.

Yes, Crisp and Clean supports both “Email to a Friend” and “We Also Recommend” / “Up-sells” blocks. Here is an example: http://crispandclean.worryfreelabs.com/styles/classic/chippendale/style-a.html
Regarding the slider. We’re constantly improving our themes and this time we were going to add control buttons for the slider. This is an experimental feature and it shouldn’t be available for public. Sorry about the confusion, we’ve temporarily removed it from the demo site. Anyway, we’re planning to finish the slider buttons today and release the theme update.

First, I would like to know how I can get the “Email To a Friend” and ” We Also Recommend” static blocks or are they in this theme?
When I first looked at this theme, the home page slider had button controls at the bottom that did not seem to link and now they are gone. How does the viewer control the slider activity and do they have the ability to individually hyperlink?

You can enable “Email to a Friend” option in Magento admin: System / Configuration / Catalog / Email to a Friend. And products for “We Also Recommend” block can be defined here: Catalog / Manage Products / Product / Product Information / Up-sells.
As to the homepage slider, please check the previous comment. Basically we’ll add buttons which will control the slider and provide an ability to select a specific slide, in addition to automatic scrolling. We’ll provide you with theme update once new version is available.

Very nice, I saw the slider controls and viewed again and they were gone. Your probably still making modifications.
Does the home page slider images hyperlink and is the js slider controlled via xml and is this setup in the admin panel?
Also, does the theme have good browser compatibility with internet explorer 6.0 +?

Thank you. Please check the slider controls one more time. We’ve been updating the featured sliders links, and probably homepage didn’t work as expected during update.
Yes, if you’re referring to the Featured Products / Summer Sale sliders. The homepage content is controlled via Magento CMS and doesn’t use XML . Though you can use XML if you want, and/or Magento Widgets.
This theme does have good browser support with all modern browsers versions, i.e. Internet Explorer 7.0+.

Hi I have uploaded the magento theme and installed all the code in the backend but the top javascript slider doesn’t work and also the 50% discount block doesn’t load?

The “50% discount” block seem to load now. The homepage slider doesn’t work because the test site uses the latest xhtml markup and at the same time the old Javascript files. If you replace all the old theme files with the new ones it should fix these issues.

Hi,
so I downloaded the new files and loaded them then I added the old css and images because I had modified it to look the way I wanted but now the javascript (on the homepage) doesn’t work it looks like a css problem so I guess I need to load the new css sheet but I have modified the old one so which part do I need to change to fix the homepage problem ( I have only editted the styles.css and the color.css files)
Also what do you mean by latest xhtml and old javascript? is this a server problem or do you mean reload the skin and app files?

Yes, this is a CSS problem. It looks like everything works, you just need to update the slideshow rules. Please open the latest styles.css file and copy lines #94-#111 (”#slideshow” – ”#slideshow-controls”). That should do the trick.
It seemed that previously you used old Javascript and latest HXTML (homepage content) from the demo site. Now, when you updated /app and /skin/js files the only thing you should do is copy the CSS rules mentioned above.

I’ve recently purchased the theme and most things have installed without problem, however, there is a few issues:
1. The product template does not work with grouped products, I’ve had a little play and have it functioning, but is there anything you could create for me?
2. The product reviews don’t seem to work, i can submit a review but once I OK it in the admin it does not appear on the frontend.
3. The basket hover over in the main menu displays ‘no items in cart’ whether there are items or there are not items in the basket.
I’m going to have a go at fixing some of these but any help would be great.

We’re also investigating and fixing the problem with grouped products right now.
The reviews seem to function very well. I’ve just added a review, got a message from Magento (Your review has been accepted for moderation), approved it in admin, and now it appears on the site: http://crispandclean.worryfreelabs.com/styles/classic/chippendale/style-a.html. We’re awaiting a confirmation from chorechoice on that.
Also, chorechoice contacted us and reported the basket preview problem wasn’t related to the theme.
