Its working but how can I replace the black background header background with an image? The reason why I am asking this is because the logo isn’t resizing as the window size decreases, would like to know if there is a way to make this work.

Show me your site.

Logo resized automatically when you resize the window – http://www.screenr.com/lJP8

Hi ZERGE , any news?

ZERGE

Hi,

About? I have 9 hours ago sent instructions to your email.

I´m sorry I have no email from you yet. Can you send it again please? Thanks a lot.

ZERGE

Check out your Spam folder.

Here is a interesting question that I ran into… for the carousel is there way to set a limit on the number of articles that goes into it? I continuously have to go in and remove tags from older articles in there so they no longer show up because if I don’t it will post all of them.

Thanks!

ZERGE

Upgrade your theme to the latest version. Current version 1.06

Alright, I have never updated a theme before. It doesn’t over write any of my stuff does it? I will have to research how to upgrade. At least I know the reason haha.

ZERGE

Just replace two files: \includes\carousel.php and \admin\functions\functions.options.php

in my Appearance -> Crumble Options -> Carousel Setings there’s no and “set the Number Of Items to Show” as shown from http://d.pr/i/P0uL

We want/need this theme for a project but cannot use it unless it is compatible with BuddyPress. Has anyone been able to implement is as of yet?

If not, Zerge, is the any chance you could test this prior to purchase?

ZERGE

Hi,

When will test, I’ll let you know.

Hi Zerge,

Thanks for the reply.

Any idea on time frame? I know you guys are busy etc. but we are looking to start this project early next week.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers, Sam.

Hi zerge, I bought crumble, and I’m in trouble as the widget “social counter”, it returns this message: Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in… and he does not count the number of fans. :crying:

ZERGE

ZERGE

Hi,

Download a new zip from the TF and replace files listed in the file Changelog.txt

I’m kind of confused here. I want to display my PAGES on the header but there is no option for that? Under neath my logo there is no columns for site navigation. However I see it on the template before I purchased.

I am really lost here!

ZERGE

Hi,

What do you mean? Main menu http://d.pr/i/nH5y ? Or what? :)

I’m an idiot I figured it out thank you lol

Zerge,

Enjoying the theme so far – just downloaded it. I had a few questions…

1. WP says your theme supports two menue: Main Navigation and Additional Navigation. Main Navigation appears under the logo – but where does the Additional Navigation Menu appear?

2. Any way to make the website logo extend the entire length of the header, and not just on the left hand side?

3. When entering a Sidebar header with multiple words, spaces don’t appear between the words. Where’s the fix for that?

Thanks,

Ben

Just remove height & width for images.

Shortcodes here – http://d.pr/i/O9wd

I’m so sorry to be a bother. How do I remove the height and width? I tried adding code into the functions.php, but the site crashed. This is what I did http://css-tricks.com/snippets/wordpress/remove-width-and-height-attributes-from-inserted-images/

Also, when I clicked on the short codes dropdown menu, it still wasn’t formatting. Do I have to insert the short codes somewhere? I don’t know anything about building websites and coding.

ZERGE

You can remove manually height and width or with this snippet.

You also can replace
list-style-type: none;
with
list-style-type: disc;
for
ul {
list-style-type: none;
list-style-position: inside;
margin-bottom: 15px;
}

Hi Serge

2) Can the background of the content area be transparent, so that the background image can be seen all the way through?

I like this idea….what changes have to be made in the css?

Thanks…love the theme

Hi Neil.

Remove background properties from the file style.css (or light.css) for:

#wrapper

#carousel-wrap

#content-bg-wrapper

Few more question:

1. How do you remove date stamp from posts?

2. How do you extend the colour background band behind the text title for widgets and posts to the full width? As in this blog below:

http://fanthoitrangnam.com

3. Menu: How do you change menu text so that text is lighter and easier to read in both the main menu and sub-menus?

4. Date/ Clock in header: How do you change colour of text to white?

Thanks again Serge for all your support here.

Neil

ZERGE

Hi Neil,

1. Just remove from the file single.php this code http://tny.cz/ffd47040

2. Add
display: block;
property to the file style.css (or light.css) for
.post-title h4, .widget-title h4, .post-title h2, .widget-title h2, h2.featured-carousel-title, h2.single-title, h1.single-title { color:#FFF; }

3. In the style.css (or light.css) change color for

.sf-menu a

4. Add code

.top-line .date {color:#FFF;}

to the file style.css (or light.css)

And one other thing:)

5. The titles in the widgets/ posts have no spaces between the words….is there a way that we can include the spaces?

Thanks

ZERGE

It seems to you, in fact there are spaces, try to change font or add property

word-spacing: 3px;

for
.post-title h4, .widget-title h4, .post-title h2, .widget-title h2, h2.featured-carousel-title, h2.single-title, h1.single-title

Thanks Serge….maybe a browser issue for me on the last point…..

Great support. Much appreciated!

A few issues on my end. At first I thought this was just conflicting with plugins, but to make sure I tested this with a clean wordpress install + the latest crumble theme.

Issues:

1) Lists do not seem to get indented at all. They seem fine in the editing aspect, but do not appear once you view the posts. I tested both the wordpress built-in lists, and also the shortcodes (I used various list styled to be sure of this).

2) The carousel doesn’t appear for me if all categories are selected. Although it shows as if there should be something on the page.

Annoyances:

1) Do you mind giving the user the ability to turn off/on the admin bar in the next release? Forcing the admin bar off seems a little odd. I know it doesn’t take long to fix (especially where its placed in the functions.php), but some people may not and get confused by this.

2) Is there any way to have an option to replace the google fonts with a web safe font? Some modern browsers (including chrome, go figure) have this nasty habit of making the text look extremely fuzzy until cache is cleared. This lowers the user-friendliness of the theme. Example: http://i.imgur.com/7mJm7.png

3) There are infact, some instances where the spacing between the text looks non-existant. I am at this point uncertain why it happens, or else I’d mention more on this.

ZERGE

Hi,

1. No problem, just replace

list-style-type: none;

with
list-style-type: disc;
for
ul { list-style-type: none; list-style-position: inside; margin-bottom: 15px; }
in the style.css (or light.css)

or use shortcodes http://wp.color-theme.com/crumble-light/lists/

2. If the post has no Featured image, it’s not appears.

3. Not many people use it, for example, I don’t use.
add_filter('show_admin_bar', '__return_true');

4. Never noticed this. Where you find this? :D Browser version, OS?

5. Use another font.

Hi ZERGE , I have a problem with the tracking code for Google Analytics. When I try to verify mi site in Google Tools for webmasters, they say that is not possible to verify because the tracking code is located in a wrong place. It should be in <head> section. The fact is I just put the code where you said. :( Can you help me? Thanks a lot. Daniel.

ZERGE

Hi,

Google Analytics should work in any case, it doesn’t matter.

Just move code from the footer.php to header.php
<?php echo stripslashes ( $data['crumble_google_analytics'] ); ?>

Could you tell me how? I would like to make no mistakes. :P Thanks again.
