Common WordPress Installation Issues
Missing style sheet error when installing the theme
A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.
Frequently Asked Questions
The shortcode example I copied from the live demo does not work
Please re-type the quotation marks in the example you copied.
When I activate the theme from my administration panel, all I get is a blank white screen.
Your web server most probably only has PHP 4 installed. The theme requires PHP 5 for it to work properly, please contact your system administrator and ask for an upgrade.
The __ in the theme is not working as I expected
There may be a plugin that is conflicting with the theme. Please disable your other plugins to find out which one is causing the problem
The image that I uploaded for the frontpage / slider / logo / portfolio / blog is not showing up in the site.
Check that your uploads folder and the /wp-content/themes/curvo_v1.x/functions/cache folder both exist and are writable (chmod 777).
Then make sure that the uploaded images are less than 2Mb. Images greater than this may not be resized properly by TimThumb.
I have unwanted gaps in some of my shortcodes.
Try separating the shortcode tag and the contents by a blank space, or adding a blank space between shortcodes.

The header and content border colors are not appearing correctly.
The theme uses Timthumb for image resizing and color adjustments. It’s required that your PHP installation has a bundled GD library. Additional information regarding the PHP and the GD library can be found here.
The images in my site are not working properly.
This might be a Timthumb related issue. ElegantThemes has a pretty good FAQ page on troubleshooting Timthumh: http://www.elegantthemes.com/troubleshooting-timthumb.html
When I upload the theme, WordPress shows the message: “Do you want to do this, please try again…” and doesn’t continue. How to I upload the theme?
Please unzip your theme file into a temporary directory, then try manually uploading the unzipped directory (and all its contents) to your wp-content/themes. It may take longer to upload though
