Interesting implementation. Kudos to you )
This is possibly a silly question, however can you reverse the order of the list so new items appear at the top?
Not sure I understand the question. Could you clarify?
DC,
The list that generates / represents the Date & Daily Title (of each ‘movie’ or time) can it be reversed so that for instance the last time the December 31, 2011 The Kings Speech item is at the top of the list not the bottom?
Cheers
Ah, I see.
It’s possible, but not as simple as explaining it through the comments section here. It’d have to be a customization, likely about an hour of work.
Great work. The idea of a countdown page is brilliant, but actually, planning on repurposing the theme for a static HTML blog. Looks excellent, and served as great inspiration!
Kudos.
Good to hear! This was a fun little experiment. If sales go well I might turn it into a WP theme with a blog section.
And thanks for the purchase!
great work!
Thanks Lee!
Hi Jake,
I need to change the date format and translate the days and months to Dutch. I joined your Design Crumbs Support site but when trying to access the forum I get “You don’t have permission to view this category”.
Verifying my purchase gives the following: “This purchase code has already been used”.
Can you let me know how to get support?
Jalo
Ah, sorry about that. There seems to be an issue with the site.
Shoot me an email at support at designcrumbs dot com and I’ll be glad to help you.
I’ve added an international version of the template now. It’s included in version 1.1 of the template and up for download now!
Awesome Jake! Thank you very much.
Jalo
wondering how I could add a bit more to this…. instead of just a daily dose I’d like a MULTI daily dose.
Id like to define updates in the xml for a min of 3 times a day (for example:
Is it simple to do something like this?
No not really. It’d require some heavy coding, 2 or 3 hours worth. A good chunk of the code would need to be rewritten.
You can shoot me an email to jake at designcrumbs dot com if you want talk customizations, otherwise you might need to find a workaround for your project.
Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you!
Hey, guys!
You should fix your code to use it under IE7 ,8,9. It’s not interpreted correctly.
<!--[if IE]> <style type="text/css"> #today { height: 330px; position: relative; } .spike_start_cap { top: -16px; left: 0px; width: 940px; height: 1; line-height: 1; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; background:url("images/spike.png") 0px 8px repeat-x; } .spike_end_cap { bottom: -16px; left: 0px; width: 940px; height: 1; line-height: 1; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; background:url("images/spike.png") 0px -8px repeat-x; } #the_list { width: 940px; } ul.daily_list li.first { margin-left:-10px; } ul.daily_list li.first span { position: absolute; left: -170px; } ul.daily_list li { padding-left: 0px; position:relative; } ul.daily_list li a { display: block; padding-left: 170px; } ul.daily_list li a span { position: absolute; left: -170px; display: none; } </style> <![endif]-->Hmmmm. Thanks! I’ll look into that!
No problem Pal, better to fix it Your way..
Wish You a productive day
Jake’s latest update fixes all the IE issues. Great theme beautifully executed with fantastic support.
Thanks for the comment! I appreciate it!
Hello,
How do I turn this into a simple list w/o dates?
Sorry for the delay, I’m out of town this weekend. Could you please open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com and I’ll help you there.
