Do you have an ETA for version 1.9.4 with RTL support? With RTL support, could I for example using WPML, have my sites language one be LTR and a secondary language be RTL with the RTL diasho layout? Thanks!
So far one person needed this and we helped them create rtl.css. We’d like to release 1.9.4 after WP3.6 is ready. Initially 1.9.4 was scheduled for 31 May 2013 but I think that it’s going to change. Schedule: http://support.forcg.com/topic/roadmap
I wondered that myself and I installed WP3.6-beta3 and WPML 2.8.1 on localhost WAMP server but they don’t work together. This means that I’ll be able to check that as we get closer to WP3.6 launch: http://make.wordpress.org/core/version-3-6-project-schedule/Basically it’s enough to create rtl.css file to have RTL support and WordPress will automatically load that. That would indicate that there’s a huge chance that the thing that you describe is how WPML works – it will load rtl.css for RTL languages only.
