To get selector for this you just do the following: 1) Right-click.
2) Pick “Inspect Element…”.

4) Paste selector into Typography Plugin and adjust settings.

Default font size is 160px, default color is black (#000000) etc.

It’s actually really simple to do! one (hopefully) last question, How do I change the blue highlighted boxes on the portfolio categories and blue highlighted text on the menu in the home page? It’s here: http://support.forcg.com/topic/daisho-common-changes in “Portfolio” selectors. This “cheat sheet” of selectors seems to be very useful, so it will surely be emphasized in v1.9, so everyone will be able to just find selector they are looking for by category and description on such list

The first selector that you’re interested in this time is this: #options li a.selected and when you follow link above you’ll find the others (like :hover state) next to this one on that list.

It’s called “HTTP Error” perhaps. Exactly the same issue is described here: http://support.devatic.com/?page_id=59 and it’s server misconfiguration.

Drag&Drop uploading requires correctly configured server. Please ask Server Administrator to send you exact error that occured.

Hello, which version of Daisho are you using? This module must have been present there long ago (or not at all) and it’s now gone because I don’t remember it. It’s shouldn’t be a part of v1.8.1. It’s been replaced with Plupload or it’s a part of some plugin. Please update theme if possible to newer version.

Please see common installation issues in documentation. It’s probably the most common issue on TF and it’s fortunately easy to be resolved – once you download “Daisho” from Themeforest, please unzip the package and inside you’ll find more files – documentation, PSD , and THEME FILES in another zip package (you should install only theme files and not full package because indeed this one doesn’t contain stylesheet).

The reason: files have been modified and compressed by Filezilla during upload. They need to be original to work. You don’t need to compress them because we already do that to ensure it’s going to load fast

It’s not a part of Daisho. Please try disabling “redirection” and “pretty link” plugin. Aditionally, please update to v1.8.1 because you’re using v1.8. It has improved JS and plugin compatibility.

Hi again. I disabled the plugins and updated to 1.8.1 but the problem is still there. Do you know what could be?

The error is located in HTML5 History API . Your source code looks almost like demo one but there’s one suspicious thing – var document_title = "Ricardísimo";. Can you remove that “í” letter form page title? Maybe we should strip characters like that – perhaps HTML5 History API doesn’t support that.

Yes, some basic shortcode generator is included. All shortcodes are listed in documentation and 50% of them is available in shortcode generator.

Not all of them are available in that generator because we dropped development of that thing. Soon we’ll introduce something easier to use than shortcode generator. By “soon” I mean Daisho v2 and current release is 1.8. We’re about to release 1.9, so distance between 1.9 and 2.0 should be like 1-2 months.

It looks like large scale project. I’m unfortunately not able to take freelance works but I would strongly suggest that you stick to WordPress as your base platform. It’s great

IE9 = fully supported.

IE8 = Microsoft will remove it from all pages on 15th November 2012 and it will be no longer supported. Only IE9 and IE10 are up to date at this moment. IE8 loses great deal of users each month and it should be gone altogether in the coming months. We’re dropping support for it, too. It’s just outdated and doesn’t support things like HTML5 and CSS3 .

Well, IE6 ,7,8 don’t support many Javascript, HTML and CSS features (not to mention basic PNG transparency etc.). You usually can’t install Windows XP on computers bought in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Users will now move to Windows 7 and Windows 8 anyway and only IE9 and IE10 will remain up to date and supported by Microsoft.

• iPad/iPhone/Android/Windows Phone compatible – it’s going to be also compatible with future tablets and similar devices.
• Responsive (HTML structure is prepared to work with various devices, screen sizes and resolutions).

• It’s all focused on the future – above ensures that Daisho will be up to date in November 2013 and 2014 and 2015 (and at least up to 2020?). We use standards that are not yet present in some browsers I think it’s a good choice anyway.

If you think that pagination or something else should be added, please open feature request on our support forum and we’ll discuss that. There are some technical and UX aspects that prevent us from adding pagination that you may not be aware of at this moment.

Logo doesn’t resize also on demo. To ensure that it fits all areas you should limit it to dimensions that demo have (100-200px). Please use our support forum to get quicker and better help. Thanks

PSD is available in the package in “PSD” folder – it includes almost everything and everything is well grouped and named. You don’t have to use it – you can use this as reference: http://themes.devatic.com/daisho/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/slide1.png and the slideshow will accept also standard images but making it have some nice gradients obviously looks better.

Unfortunately, no. If you need guidance on how to make it happen, please ask on our support forum and I’ll provide you the code. You can also open feature request and we’ll discuss that.

Perhaps yes because both insert the same meta tags to wp_head();. I used modules from Yoast plugin. If you want to disable full SEO module, please go to functions.php and remove or comment out this line: require_once (TEMPLATEPATH . '/framework/admin/seo/flow-seo.php');

It will disable SEO module (all its components and everything from both back-end and front-end).

Daisho should be compatible with all plugins written up to WordPress standards. It has very good plugin compatibility at this moment

Many people need calendars and there are many free and paid solutions out there. Some are simple and some are really powerful. Some allow users to schedule appointments and others allow booking hotel rooms. That’s why I didn’t give you any recommendations – because it’s much dependent on your feature and functionality needs I hope I helped somehow anyway.

“SEO Module” option in admin panel has been just added and will appear in 1.9-alpha2 that I’m uploading at this moment. It contains a few more new features and minor bug fixes, too.

You’re right. All the characters have been converted to some other symbols in source code and that might cause issues. Can you please move this question to support forum? We’ll resolve this for you and fix main package.
