I really like your themes, especially this one. I am searching for answers on my questions but still, I have two questions unanswered:
1. Is it possible in the ‘collom with description’ portolio section to add more photos to one and the same project ?
2. And if so, is it possible to display these images then AFTER you have clicked on the particular project above the text of the desciption (with a slider or whatever) ?
Thanks a lot already, if it can do the trick, I’ll buy it!
Thanks, I’m glad you like our themes
By default the portfolio gallery supports one preview image in lightbox for each item. However there is another way to attach multiple images per item – you can make the item link to its single page rather than opening the preview image in lightbox and in that page you can insert a Quick Gallery with the additional images. Alternatively, you may use the Portfolio Showcase page and again insert a Quick Gallery of images below the main preview image.
Thanks a lot, I will purchase your theme today!
I hope you will enjoy working with it
Great theme I’m interested in purchasing!
I would like to have a thumbnail portfolio gallery that contains multiple sub-galleries, each sub-gallery containing multiple images.
This is not about filtering the images in name categories (as is currently available), it’s about creating a gallery that contains photos just for that sub-category.
Ideally, when you click on a thumbnail, you have a portfolio menu of all the other pictures just associated with that item, as opposed to clicking through all the gallery items.
Thank you for the interest
In my reply of the comment above I have just explained how you can have a portfolio item in gallery link to additional images – you can make the item link to its single page and there insert a Quick Gallery. In your case, if you need 3 levels of galleries – main gallery, sub-gallery and one more gallery after that, you can create a standard portfolio gallery for the main gallery and for the sub-galleries of the main gallery. Then link all the items in the main gallery to the relevant sub-gallery and finally link each item from the sub-gallery to its single page where you can insert a Quick Gallery. I hope this is clear enough
I’m new to tho stuff and think of rebuilding my website based on a good wordpress theme like this one.
Is there a possibility to give my customers kind of a password protected background access to their own galleries and stuff?
It is very easy to create a password protected Quick Gallery – you can see an example here , use “pexeto” as password.
I think your theme is just what I’m looking for – with one possible exception. Can you please tell me if it is possible, using the thumbnail slider, if I can set the height of the images to auto. I am planning to use this for a photography site and would like to use the thumbnail slider on a variety of pages for each photo series. The images in each series are not the same height and I don’t wan to crop them. So I am hoping to be able to set a width (let’s say 980px wide) and let the height be auto. Is this possible? If not, is it possible for me to pay someone a small fee to add this functionality to the slider? Thank you!
I’ve installed your theme here http://weddingdaypin.com and when I do the Dandelion Options > Style settings > General, you know the color and background patterns… Nothing is taking when I hit save.

I love your themes, they are so beautiful. Today I purchased the Dandelion theme but when I try to install it (from ftp or from .zip) this is what appear:
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.
What I have to do? I’m not a programmer so I don’t know
Sorry for my english (I’m italian)
P.S. I guess you are not installing the theme correctly – for more information about how to install the theme correctly, please refer to the “Activating the theme” section of the documentation included or to this article.
Hi, How do I update to the latest versions of this theme.
You can always download the latest version of the theme from the “Downloads” section of your ThemeForest profile and you can read about how to update it in the “Updates” section of the documentation.
Is there a shortcode for me to insert a certain category of Posts into a Page without making it a Featured page template? In other words, I want to create a page do display only one category of posts and I would like it to be formatted exactly like the Blog page (without it actually being the Blog page).
I also was wondering if this template supports Custom Post Types? I have not used them before and think that might be what I’m looking for to solve my issue above?
Disregard my question above…found the answer in your Support pages. Menu – Categories. Simple!
I’m glad you did

I’m trying to choose a theme for my website and yours looks promising.
I would like to have a static front page with a slider for below a custom header.
I also want three or four photo linked images on the front page.
Would this theme allow that?
What do you mean by saying “custom header”? Generally the theme layout structure is shown on the demo – first goes a header with menu and logo (you can change the logo image), a slider (optional) and then goes the page content – the page can be any page, it doesn’t have to be a page with services boxes, it can be for example a static page and you can insert the images with links in the way you like into the content of the page.
I’m interested by your theme dandelion but i never buy any theme so i don’t how we are free to adapt it to our needs ? I’m especially interestd by dandelion for a portfolio use but i need to adapt all the theme to my design. Am i free to do it using your theme ?
Thanks in advance for your answer
If by saying “free” you are referring to the licencing terms of the theme when you purchase it – yes, you are allowed to modify the theme and implement your own design into it.
is this theme compatible with iOS? Need to make sure it’s viewable on an iPad/phone
Yes, the theme is well displayed on iOS devices, if you have one you can try with testing it yourself.
I have a website up and running with the Dandelion them version 2.5. How do I update it to the latest version?
I can see that you have opened a ticket where you have asked this question and our support moderator has already posted his reply explaining how to do this.
Hi. This is a really great theme. I’m thinking of getting this, or possibly CORE for a client. My question is what plugin does this use for building the portfolio? Is it a stand-alone plugin or does it use the built-in wordpress gallery? My concern is if we use Dandelion or CORE and in the future the client wants to install a different theme, will we have to re-upload and re-enter all the gallery information, or would we possibly be able to keep using the same gallery backend using different themes?
Thanks, I’m glad you like the theme
The portfolio functionality is built in the theme, it is not a separate plugin. The portfolio uses a custom post type called “portfolio”, not the standard WordPress gallery, as the WP gallery is very simple and doesn’t provide lots of options. So, if you need to build this functionality into different themes, you would have to copy and implement the code for them.
Thanks for the feedback. So I would have to create a custom post type called “portfolio” to enable the portfolio to work in other themes? Is that all? I’m a pretty experienced WP developer. Would there be any other modifications I would need to make?
I’m very interested in this theme, but before I move forward with it I was wondering if you can have multiple pages with sliders?
This site would be for a client who remodels homes and would like to show off each house with a slider page for each picture gallery. Is this something your theme can offer?
Yes, the theme supports different sliders for different pages. If you want to use a gallery and when you click on an item, open a page with a slider – you can accomplish this by creating a different page for each item and set the item link to that page.
I really like the design of this theme but having purchased it I’m having difficulty uploading it to wordpress. All it says is ‘Are you sure you want to do this?’ and when I click try again it throws me back to the install page again. Please can you help.
P.S. Please make sure to upload the theme zip only, not the whole zip file you have downloaded. You can find the detailed instructions about installing the theme in the “Activating the theme” section of the documentation included.
Do you have any real-life examples that I can check out? I’m concerned about mobile device compatibility.
I have a few links that I can provide, but these may contain modifications and the theme that they have installed may not be the latest version. For the most accurate result I would advise you to check our demo with a mobile device, as it includes the original files that you will download without any modifications (except of the style switcher we have included for demonstration purposes).
