Any chance you could add the same gallery view like this in this theme?: http://themewich.com/extranews/?page_id=437 I really like the gallery view in that one.
Is it the lightbox (image preview box) you are asking about? If yes – it is already implemented in the theme, this is the same PrettyPhoto lightbox plugin that Dandelion uses, just another skin is used. Dandelion has an option included to change the default lightbox skin and also you can enable the same small overlay gallery (the small thumbnails over the image), so you can accomplish all this with the theme options.
Yes, I was referring to how the gallery is presented with the small thumbnails over the image on the bottom and also the expand image button etc.. I’ve uploaded a screenshot with the highlighted areas I’m referring to: http://imgur.com/jic9i Is there a easy of doing this without coding, because I have not programming experience. But if I have explicit direction like: “open this php file and in line 55 insert/replace this code, upload and refresh” that is not problem.
Yes, you can accomplish this – there are options included in the Pexeto Options panel where you can do all this without any coding. I just changed these options to these settings on my installation and made a screenshot of the result – you can see it here.
Also is there a place where you can put ads. If so, how many will the theme accommodate?
You can use the sidebars and the footer columns – they are all widgetized and you can insert whatever widgets you like in there. There lots of ads plugins available, so you can use any of them or build your adds with the default WordPress widgets (e.g. Links widget or Text widget). There is no limit about the number of widgets you insert in the sidebar.
This theme is perfect for me! Quick pre-purchase question and I”m sold… Can you upload your own background image?
Yes, we have included an option to upload a custom background image.
I can’t figure out how to remove the ”>>” the proceeds the menu items. Any ideas on where that can be removed or edited? Thanks!

Hi, can you put youtube embedded videos into a slides on the slider?
All of the image sliders in the theme support images only. Alternatively it would be easy to replace the static image header with an YouTube video (it will require a small code modification) if you need to show just one video in the header.
When I go to My Downloads to download the latest version, the zip file still says v268.
**cancel that, appears to have worked the second time
How to show on the homepage the thumbails of latest from the blog
Hi, does your theme has an option panel in which I can decide which elements I like to add, change position or delete from the homepage? Thanks!
Yes, the theme has an options panel and also each page has its separate options (settings) section where you can apply all the main settings.
Hi! I am thinking of purchasing this theme, I just have a question. Does the homepage have different options for how it can be set up? I am looking at the demo and I like the look of this page: http://pexetothemes.com/demos/dandelion_wp/featured-posts/demos/dandelion_wp/featured-posts/
Is it possible to use the featured posts page as the homepage? Is it an option in the setup options or would I have to replace the homepage file (home.php or whatever) with the code on the featured page template? Thanks for your help!
Yes, you can set the Featured posts page to be your front page. By default WordPress includes an option about which page to set as a front page, so you can set any page you like without any code modifications.
Hi, First this is an excellent theme, Have a quick question,
How to sort the Portfolio Items on name of the Item. I trying to show them from A to Z, but by default they are displaying based on when they are created ( date and desc order)
Can we add a child theme for the same license?
I’m not really sure whether I understand your question correctly. Generally with a regular license you are allowed to use the theme on one site only, so if you are asking whether you can use the theme on one site with a child theme – yes you can do this with one license.
This theme is great!
One question, I have fairly large menu items (two/three words). How can I break them up nicely (over 2 rows) so that the complete menu still fits next to the logo (on all devices)?
Thanks for your help.
And one more question. (See also Boulanger, building for Skite) I just switched themes (lighter >> dandelion). And now all my pages give an error, except for the home page. How and where can I solve this?
Please check my reply to your comment above
I love this theme and am wanting to purchase it, but have a few questions first:
1. I don’t see an easy way to add video, and I notice that your other theme “the cotton” has a tab with three video links. Would I be able to do this? How about audio?
2. I don’t see any places to click on posts to put them on facebook, twitter, etc. Also to EMAIL them to other people. are those widgets included?
3. I’d love to have a site that takes people to an easily printable version of posts. is that an option?
4. Can I hide certain categories so that people are only looking at the subcategories for the section they are in?
5. Is there a way to add breadcrumbs to this template?
6. can the “content slider” (picture and text) be used as a static image? and could it link to a video that is within the website? (I don’t want the first thing my readers to do is get a link to another site like youtube).
thank you this is a gorgeous template!!! nice work!
I’m glad you like the theme Here are my answers:
1, 2 and 5. You can very easy accomplish these with plugins – these are usually functionalities that are added by a plugin, not built into the theme. For videos there are lost of video embed plugins with lots of options, you can also use the default WordPress [embed] shortcode to embed videos.
3. There isn’t such kind of option included, but I guess that there also may be a plugin that will add this functionality for you.
4. Yes, there is an option included to exclude categories from the blog.
6. If you mean to have just one slide and then the “Learn more” button to link to another page with a video – yes, you can do this.
I suppose you don’t have a non-Wordpress version of this template . . .?
At this point only a WordPress version is available of the theme.
Is it possible to use a different background image than the patterns installed? (see www.christosxidias.com)
And is it possible to have a different image for every different page?
Yes, you can use a different background image – there is an option included to upload your custom background image. Regarding different backgrounds on different pages – by default there isn’t such kind of option, but this can be easily accomplished with a few modifications.
maybe i am a blockhead. no matter what i tried “dandelion. the wordpress theme” is still in the header. it won’t adopt my own wordpress blog title and subtitle. i would love to see my own blogtitle in the header. thanks in advance! kind regards, ursula
P.S. Please check the Header -> The Logo section of the documentation included.
My client would like to purchase the dandelion theme. The client has a OOB wordpress blog and in the default cloud solution. How do we integrate this theme in the OOB cloud solution?
I’m not really sure if I understand correctly what you mean by “OOB WordPress blog”, but generally if you have the latest version of WordPress installed on your server, the theme should be working fine – all it needs is latest WordPress and it doesn’t have any other specific requirements.
