Dare - Clean and Modern Wordpress Theme

Finding a few bugs with this theme:

1) Testimonials – select 1 testimonial and the little left and right arrows show as if I have more then 1

2) Accordion short codes does not work – I add an accordion and then click the plus sign but nothing

3) Issues with the slider not showing full width images

Sorry, last question. If I customise and edit certain features and the general way the site looks and feels are the updates you produce going to revert any of my changes? If so, how can I avoid this causing a problem?

I have purchased your theme and am having trouble loading your XML content. I downloaded the Wordpress Importer and checked the Download and Import attachments box. I am not seeing anything close to the demo site.

Also, the wordpress bar seems misaligned in Safari.

I am having problems uploading your xml file. I am running into memory problems – Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 75 bytes) in /home/ye/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-importer/parsers.php on line 175

A couple of questions:

1) How do I insert text + buttons on the homepage slider?... I can’t seem to find any way to customize this. You can see the issue on the home page on my website.

2) This site is responsive – great. When decreasing the size of the screen (home) I notice that the main menu list shifts from a horisontal list to a horisontal dropdown. I would like to keep this list i.e. when making the screen smaller it should simply lists vertically via buttons instead of horisontally – I think this is a cleaner and more mobile frinedly … is there a fix to this somwhere?

Great theme. I uploaded the xml file and all was working fine but now my main slideshow, and all slideshows are stalled, no images or text show up and the thinking circle keeps spinning. Please help. Georgia

I have been getting on well with the theme but I have noticed something which is vital for me.

On project page, I have uploaded an image 618×952 via Gallery (Full Size) but when viewed on actual project page the image is trimmed?? I have been search files and trying to find ways to correct this but no luck. Please can you help ASAP ?

As it is vital when we upload images it uses the actual size of the upload, especially when it says in gallery it will be uploaded full size. I look forward to your reply.

First I would like to add another portfolio that I can use for a different page. I already have one now setup but I need to use a second one with different content and links. Is this possible if so how can I do it.

Second I would like to change the name of the portfolio from portfolio to services. It shows up as portfolio through out the website and I would like to change the name to match the content. With that being said can recent works be changed too. If you can help me out i would appreciate it.

Hi, we purchased your template. It looks great and works fine! But I do have one question: how do you upload a video (vimeo) to the slideshow on the homepage?

I went to the gallery including the slides for the homepage and clicked on browse. Then I selected ‘From URL ’, chose ‘Audio, Video, or Other File’ and typed in the URL and a name. Then I clicked on ‘Insert into Post’ (that’s the only option). But nothings happens.

Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

hey, bought the theme and i love it. I have one problem. THe slider is not working. It stacks the images rather than rotating through the images. Can you advise?

I had purchased the Daretheme. Theme got a problem with the installation. (theme upload- themeforest-3209015-dare-clean-and-modern-wordpress-theme.zip)

During installation, the following terms have been shown.

“The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”

Please solve this problem.

Is there a function that shows portfolio category name of the project that I could use in theme template files? i.e. if i got category tree set as: first_level -> second_level ->third level How can I get: echo $first_level echo $second_level etc on recent portfolio project site. I’d like to use it in “single-portfolio.php”

Hi. I notice the height of the main slider is 550px. Can I set it to something smaller – say 410px. And if I do this will the system start at 550px and then reduce to 410? I don’t want the slider to shrink to the smaller height. Cheers. Mark.

Hi! I have just purchased the Dare theme, when I upload the theme looks not like the one when I live preview, is that because I have to set it all up by myself or should the theme look like the Livepreview right after I actived the theme? I’m totally new at WP

I have 3 pre-sale questions:

1. Is it possible to adjust the height of the homepage slider on “Alternate homepage 2”? I would like it about half its height. If not possible, would it be difficult through CSS ?

2. Is the theme prepared to include some information (e.g. flags to change language) above the main menu?

3. Absolutely white background, is that an option on the settings?
