Is there a way to have ad links open in a new tab? There’s a real user friendly link to that for embedded links in a post but I didn’t find one for links for ads.
In order to open the ad links in a new window you should copy the underlying widget file into the enclosed child theme and then you can add a
target="_blank"to the respective link.Please let us know how you get on with this.

Wont try that. That’s above my skill level and I’d rather not mess with things I don’t understand (it applies to codes, voodoo and romantic partners). However, I’d noticed the 300×250 ad is now opening in a new window while the set of six 125×125 ads are not. I’m not sure if it was always that way or not. Do some ads have open in new window as preset? Leader board ad can open in new window with easy code. Note my code skills are level 0, a code version of a blue slime would KO me. Overall, still very pleased with theme. Still tinkering site options to get it right, but is working for my needs, so far at least.

thanks for your response. The 300×250 shouldn’t open in a new window as there is no target=”_blank”. Instead of using image ads you can always add your own ad code and open the links in a new window without changing any of the theme code.

Would it be possible to change all the wording in it, like “leave a comment”, and the date format, and all the core stuff to arabic?
it seems like a really great template and would love to be able to use it

thanks for your query and I’m pleased to hear that you like our Deadline theme. You certainly can change all strings and translate them into any language. All you need to do for this is open the PO file using PoEdit and then you can translate and save this as e.g. ar.po – you then need to change the language in the config file and upload the PO and MO files to your theme root. Changing the text alignment to RTL however involves a couple of further steps and some customisation of the underlying CSS code. The Facebook widget has wrong fan count on page. I placed the “Social Counter” widget in the sidebar. Deleted the default witter stuff (leaving it blank) and changed the default FB Page ID and Page URL to the FB for website. It appears to be working normally, but the Fancount on the webpage is “130”, which is the same as it was showing with the default. Is there a delay for it to update to the correct count or is there a problem? Thanks for designing an user friendly theme, please pardon any questions I ask that seem like Coding 101.

the widget might have cached our fan count for a little while. Can you check if the number of fans is now showing correctly?
