Try this: Instead of placing Blog page in the menu, place a category there. Create Blog category under Posts menu and then place it to the menu in Appearance->Menus

Nice theme!

Is it possible to use larger photos or full screen photos at the background?

I’m sorry, but no :(

Here’s my latest theme with fullscreen photos: it’s getting a lot positive feedback. http://bit.ly/architectos

Hi there. I had a question. On the demo there is 4 main navs, and then photography and the blog have sub navs. Is there a limit to the number of main navs and sub navs that you can have?

Thanks!

I’m totally dumb here and didn’t see an answer to this question in the prior posts (apologies if I missed it). But I would like for my logo image to also take my site’s guests back to the home page. Any advice on how I might accomplish this? Thanks! So far, I’m loving this template!!

This will require theme files modifications. I’ll try to find time for adding that into the theme.

Great theme so far. Have read all 11 pages of comments and did not see these two questions.

How can I add additional social media buttons on the right hand side? I’d like to add logos of professional organizations that I belong to below my logo on the left. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks!

Hi, You can achieve that with theme mods. open header.php file and locate this line
<div id="social_icons" />
after it insert something like this:
<a href="http://superorganisation.com" title=""> <img src="http://domain.com/path_to_the_logo/logo.jpg" alt="" /> </a>

I have watched the screencast and have done exactly what it says but I am not having success. Instead of the photos assigned to that category showing up in the gallery, I am only getting the title of the post (very small at the top) and a spinning wheel. The arrows and scrolling feature is working. It appears to be doing everything other than loading the pictures. I am posting one photo per post using the Upload/insert (Add Media). Am I doing something wrong during the uploading of the pictures? I have tried different size jpegs with no success. Thanks so much for your help!

I seem to have figured it out. I was posting images in the body of the post instead of linking to image urls in the title. Wish I had known this earlier! Thanks.

Please make sure to unzip original file that you’ve downloaded. Inside of it you’ll find documentation and theme .zip file (that should uploaded to your site).

Since this is a vertical text, it’s actually an image. you can find it in theme folder/images/twitterico.png 30×121px image. Create new image and replace the old one.

Thanks a lot mixey! Just one thing bothering me tho.. The “Pages Menu” or however you wish to call it, can it be arranged in some way? Noticed that it automaticly replaces them in alphabetic order which is really not what I want.

Head over to the Appearance->Menu. Create your menu, assign it to the primary location and place links into the structure. Then use your mouse to re-arrange menu items.

When switching pages there is quite a bit of a delay before the next page comes forth and I’ve gotten some criticism from costumers who dislike this when visiting my website. Is there a way to decrease the delay/waiting time when going from page to page in the menu? Thank you.

This delay is because of the AJAX loading of your page. While you see the logo, content is being loaded.

Hey Mixey, first of all, wonderful work, the theme is quite nice. I’m in the early stages of porting my old site to this theme and I had a quick question. When I go to the homepage, ianservin.com, and then click on a link, the page refreshes to that particular page/post. I know that it’s supposed to use Ajax and not have to reload in the browser. After this first reload, it doesn’t seem to have that issue, any help would be appreciated. Thanks, -Ian

I fixed it last night, it seems to require a front page slideshow to function properly. I’m still having an issue in creating a home menu link to go back to the beginning, it just shows up blank with a spinner. I also don’t see the intro logo fade in and out when I visit the site. It showed up once, but I never saw it again.

Hi, First you need to create a category in Posts->Categories (Portfolio) that will hold photo posts. Then get it’s ID and enter it in the Theme Options page http://www.screenr.com/G5e Then add new post and assign it to that “Portfolio” category. Fill title, content and most important – scroll down to the custom post settings section and paste image url in the “Post image” custom field.
