Hi Manuel,
Since two days the ‘add element’ button doesn’t respond anymore. So I can’t add elements to the slideshow anymore, either for the background and adding a slideshow to a post.
Are you familiar with this problem? And do you know a way to resolve it?

it depends on what you did two days ago. Did you activate something or update something? Generally it could be a javascript problem, but without seeing your admin panel I can’t be sure, sorry.

Thanks for your reply. Last two days we’ve updated to Wordpress 3.5, started using W3 Total Cache, Smush.it and CloudFlare as a CDN (with good results, the website is now much quicker).
Is there a way to replace the javascript back to the original? Or in the worst case reset the wordpress page without losing my data/info/settings?
If you wish, I can give you our admin-logins..

I told you the ‘add element’ button doesn’t work anymore resulting in not being able to make slideshows. You said it could be a Javascript problem, so I was wondering if there is a way to: trace the problem / or import the old javascript so it’s ‘back to the original’ again / or you taking a little look in my admin panel?

I was looking in the admin panel and not in the page back end. I just found a bug in a plugin I used for Delight with WP 3.5 (I think). Fixed, the new release will be ready and available in a few days.

My theme is not resize images on the fly in my slideshow.. My server has php5, and have already given permission folders “delight”, “scripts” and “cache” (777 or 755) also set up the media settings as described in the document theme .. still does not work .. can you help me?

Yes, but make a backup always because the file permissions can change automatically or some files can be wrong uploaded.

on Delight admin panel -> Blog -> Posts you can disable the share section for all the posts (the same for the pages in Delight -> blog -> Pages and for the portfolio items in Delight -> Portfolio -> Portfolio items).
About the comment: it doesn’t depend on the theme but on Wordpress. To disallow the comments on a page or on a post, enter the page admin panel, click “Screen options” tab (right top of the screen) and enable the ”Discussion” checkbox. A box at the very bottom of the page will appear, disallow from there comments, trackback etc.
To disallow the comments from everywhere, go to Settings -> Discuss and disable the checkboxes you want, but this change will be applied for the new posts and pages only. For the pages and posts you already created, you must do what I said previously.
As I said, that’s not a Delight feature of course, but a Wordpress feature.
About the logo issue: I explained how to do that on the documentation included in the theme. Just open it and click Admin panel -> Colors & images -> Header colors & images.

I just found a bug in a plugin I used for Delight with WP 3.5 (I think). Fixed, the new release will be ready and available in a few days. This fixes the issue regarding the slideshow, but I don’t have any issue on the text editor with the images. Can you provide more info or an access as administrator via email (manu[at]pixedelic[dot]com)?

Dear All.. Finally I fix it .. would like to share with u how i did it..
Create a new folder on your root directory and call it sessions Change its permissions to 777 (Check all the options from GD’s control panel viewable – writable – executable )
At this point you should have a folder like yourdomain.com/sessions
open wp-config.php with your text/code editor and put
session_save_path(’/home/content/04/8260904/html/sessions’);
for anyone else with the same problem just replace “04/8260904” with your GoDaddy user folders.
Sorry about the issue with the session, but it is related to the server, like the issue of the thumbnails I’m afraid: it could depend on TimThumb, the plugin that resizes the images.
For security reasons TimThumb resizes this images on fly without using any folder on your server, but not all the servers support this feature. So, if you can’t see the thumbnails, try to enter the Delight admin panel, and go to General -> Scripts. Then switch on the button called “Use cache folder with TimThumb”.
If you can’t see the thumbnails after switching this field on, you must change the file permissions (the CHMOD , here is a link about that: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions) of this folder on your server:
wp-content / themes / delight / scripts / cache
Try 777, or 755 (it depends on the server).

P.S.: the Google fonts are disabled on your site. To enable them go to Delight admin panel -> General -> Scripts -> Block the download from Google’s servers (switch it off).

Thanx for your replay Manuel .. but i already fix it before see ur replay & i wanna share with u how I did it .. I notice that there is an errors appears in the images with the Jetpack path so I uninstall Jetpack & try to preview my gallery .. it works well & now I install jetpack again & everything is ok

I want to update the theme, but I modified some files myself including for example the css files and some php-files too.
Can I just update / overwrite the files that you have modified in the latest update? Or is there another way to solve this?

it depends on your page: if you have the sidebar the slideshow has a width of 690 pixels, on a wide page it is 930 pixels. The height depends on the values you set on the slideshow back end: the width and the height you can set from the backend give you the ratio, just calculate it.

Sorry, my bad, I guessed you talked about another theme.
There isn’t a right size for the background slideshow. The images fit the monitor and they are cropped so they don’t leave any space empty. Since the most popular resolutions is about 16/9 use images with this ratio. I used images with a width of 1280 pixels (about 200/300KB) and about 16/9 as ratio.

the portfolio of my demo is a different layout: if you go to Delight admin panel -> Portfolio -> The name of your gallery (I think it’s “Portfolio” again) and select the option “Wide page” for the field “Template” you can get the same look of my demo site.
