Hi everyone,

I want to take this opportunity to share my post-sales experience of this theme by Designova with the wider Envato community.

After consultation with Envato quality assurance and community support teams, I would like to recount the facts of my buying experience.

It is my sincere hope that, in the spirit of sharing in a democratic marketplace such as Envato, the seller will not attempt to hide this comment and instead, engage openly with a disappointed customer.

There will be 5 comments as I have encountered limitations in sharing multiple in-line images in one comment.

I purchased the Dignity theme a month ago on Themeforest. For clarity, I installed the theme as-is based on documentation from Designova on WP 3.9.

While the template claims it is compatible with Chrome, it is not the case post-installation, I have explained to Designova on their old support site (designova.queryloops.com) that while I have followed their instructions to the letter and copy/paste the exact same codes from their manual (in other words, there was no customisation of the code), I am facing visual rendering not in line with their product preview.

Designova requested for my WP credentials and after some period of time (and plenty of prompting), replied that there is nothing they can do about it as it is a Chrome issue.

My first point is very simple.
If the seller chose to label its product as Chrome compatible, isn’t it odd for the seller to use “compatibility” to disown responsibility?

My second point is speed/transparency of support
I had a hard time getting a response to my legitimate support queries on Designova’s support site. It sometimes takes weeks to hear a response, by email or though the support forum, though interestingly, a comment on Envato gets same-day response from Designova. For clarification, the seller has since revamp its support site and may have deleted all previous support queries.

My third point is customer perception pre-purchase
Since Designova uses the fact that they had their own support site, it gives them an advantageous selling position relative to other sellers who categorically say they don’t offer support. So while Envato correctly say authors are not obligated to provide support, the fact that Designova said it would provide support and then proceed to dispense it in a limited manner (as stated above) is an important purchase decision for all users.

I hope everyone checks the comment page and contact other buyers on themeforest prior to a purchase. I sure wished I had in this case. :(

Even if you go on posting all the screenshots and comments regarding your issue here there is not going to have any solution for your case, because the issue is caused only by your inappropriate editing of website. The issues are not in our theme and it is already tested by themeforest. You are unable to see the same issues in our theme live preview means you don’t know how to setup your website, that’s not our fault.

We do not care requests containing custom tasks and debugging needed unless they are issues in our original theme (live preview is public). So there will not be anything done from our side on your case. You can treat this as final from our side. We do not care about the comments you post here. Hi, Couple of issues with the theme, Firstly, your support ticket system doesnt seem to work, it wont send me password reset info, eventhough it says it has, hence the questions here.

1. The child theme as mentioned in the documentation is not in the package. 2. When setting the home page to use fullscreen slider this is not pulling any images through. I have imported demo homepage 02, and it has put slides in slide area, but all i see when viewing the page is the overlay image, no slide images. How is this resolved??

I did do this yesterday, would not recognise password, then the reset process is not working

I have just tried the reset again and i get the same message – “Notice An email containing instructions to reset your password has been sent to your email account.” Account is registered as it will not let me register under same email – (i have checked spam folder no emails in there) I need some support on this theme asap, primarily relating to the slider not working at all, even though images are there. I have also tried this on another clean install of wordpress, exactly the same issue. I am using current build of wordpress v3.9.1

Please advise on this issue as your support system appears not to be working.

Hi any ideas is appreciated. I created a bunch of test pages and posts but none of them appear on the dignity themed website. If i switch to a default wordpress theme then the pages and posts appear but switching to dignity leaves me with a blank page. Any idea what I can try doing thanks!
