Thank you for your reply. Could you exclude the images then? I don’t really know how to setup the slides and all those things. It’ll be easier for me to start editing the website if all the demo content is there.

By the way, there are a few more problems. First, the website I created by importing the demo contents does not have the “creative start page” and “business start page”. Second, my website doesn’t have the color chooser. Third, there’s a “Se” on the magnifying glass icon, as you can see at: http://www.canwallstudio.com.

Hello, great theme! Although the navigation dropdown menus do not work on the Android tablet. Is this a bug or just an unavailable feature? If it can work, I would buy the theme.

Hi, seems android does not understand :hover states. You can implement mobile dropdown menu for mobile devices, if you can do this.

OK thanks. On Android tablets, other themes allow you to touch the menu item to expose the dropdown menu, and then make a selection from the exposed menu. For some reason, Dotted does not support this behavior.

Just mentioning this for anyone who needs their site to work on Android tablets.

Hello, is it problematic to update an already completed webpage with Wordpress 3.2.1 and the 1.2 version of this theme to Wordpress 3.3.1 and the 1.4 version of the theme? Is there anything I should watch for before updating the theme? Will I lose any of my settings, etc. updating the theme to 1.4 version from 1.2? Thanks,

Hi! Love the theme, but I no longer seem to be able to insert forms. I’ve tried Chrome, FF and IE9 . I can create the form, but clicking on the insert button does nothing. I have to cancel out. I need to update my contact form. Suggestions. I recently installed Jetpack and updated my Wordpress version. I have not changed anything on my hosting. Do I need to install the latest version of the theme? The original install was November 2011.

Hello,

I purchased and installed Uber-Menu (http://labs.sevenspark.com/UberMenu (the most downloaded plugin on Envato’s Code Canyon), but it seems to be conflicting with the Dotted theme javascript version.

Please assist in fixing the problem, here is their response:

I’m pretty sure the issue is due to the jQuery error you’re getting on the back end. The error is being caused by your theme, which is loading its scripts on every admin page, not just its own. The script (dotted_new/dotted/functions/dots/script.js line 19) then throws an error, which prevents UberMenu from working. Moreover, it seems the theme may be loading it’s own javascript library on the back end:

that’s bad enough on the front end, but in the admin area it’s almost certain to break things. 1.6.2 is not the proper version for the latest version of WordPress.

Anyway, because that is causing a javascript error, it breaks the UberMenu admin, which generates invalid output, so you don’t get your styles on the front end.

You’ll need to make sure the theme (or perhaps it’s another plugin) doesn’t break things in the admin area. Here’s the Codex page on loading scripts only on the appropriate admin pages.

Once you get the javascript errors resolved, resave the UberMenu options (making sure you have all valid values for the Style Generator), and let me know if you continue to have issues.

Hi,

It seems you are using older version of the theme. Open functions.php and change

wp_register_script( 'jquery', 'http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.6.4.min.js');
to
wp_register_script( 'jquery', 'http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.7.2.min.js');

or just remove
wp_deregister_script( 'jquery' );
wp_register_script( 'jquery', 'http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.6.4.min.js');

Also it was designed to be used with menu dot animation, so you have to disable them. In the same functions.php change

require_once(DOTTED_FUNCTIONS . '/dots/dots.php');
to
//require_once(DOTTED_FUNCTIONS . '/dots/dots.php');

The body background for my pages is shifting vertically. It appears in a different position on every page. I’ve reloaded the default CSS as well as the background image to no avail. This did not used to be a problem. I’m running on 1.4 version of the theme and the latest Wordpress version. The issues appears in multiple browsers – Chrome, FF and IE9 . Help please!

Is it possible to disable it for only one particular image? I like the fancybox, it’s just that it doesn’t support opening an image in a new window

You can only disable auto detect and then add class for images you need to open with fancybox. Also you can disable it completely ( see instructions in the end of the user manual ) and install another plugin.

I love the ability to create unlimited sidebars. One thing I wish is that I could have 2 default sidebars – one for “blog” and one for “pages” – I want to use the same blog sidebar on all blog posts, and don’t want to use it on pages – but it appears that if I don’t, I need to create a custom sidebar for every single page. Any way to save one of the sidebars for use on multiple pages so it doesn’t need to be recreated from scratch for each page?

Looking at you theme and note that layout errors occurs in ie9 and pressing compatibility mode.

Expample: look at your footer. You can see the email icon. When changing to ccompatibility mode the icons disappear. Also does this in ie8

Also menu does not work correct in ie8 or compatibility mode in ie9 The menu moves to the side.

With cufon fonts disabled will the dropdown menu work correctly in compatibility mode or ie8 ?

There are a few errors in ie browsers is there a fix?

Hi,

Why do you view website in compatibility mode? View it in normal mode. Icons dissapear as there is custom inline style set in demo site for them, you do not have to use it on your site.
