Hello, I would like to purchase the slider exactly as it looks/functions in this theme. Since it is based on the Estro slider, would I be able to modify the Estro slider to look/function just like the slider in this theme? Is it easy enough to do?

doubletake slider uses estro rendering engine but also it includes a lot of custom code so the two are very different products. Having estro to look like this would require a lot of work on your side.

I’m having problems with this template using Ipad 2 (IOS 5.0) and Ipad 3 (IOS 5.1). Everything OK in non-Apple browsers (e.g. Dolphin, Atomic) but in Safari on both ipads the centre section content is missing, although the wood background does appear.
Only clue I have… same thing happens in all my PC’s browsers when I view the site in the themeforest frameset i.e. straight after clicking Live Preview

our preview is working fine here on iphone/ipad2 (ios 5), same as all desktop major browsers in both frame/no frame. this looks like internet connection issue.
try to check the preview from another location and see if you still having issues, in this case please head to our support forum

as long as php generated markup would contain unique ids for each page, i don’t see any problem with that.

Is there any way to autoplay a video in the home page slider? I only have the one item which is a video and I need it to autoplay.
Also, how do I embed the video instead of linking to it. I don’t want the related videos to show at the end.

Hi,
Check the help docs for the “autostart” parameter for the videos. Please note though, that sometimes the Vimeo & YT apis dont respond to this call.
The slider doesn’t support local or embedded videos.

Ok, how do I just embed a video next to the information box so that it still lines up like the original image overlay?
Instead of the image overlay, I need an embedded youtube video there without losing the formatting on the page. How do I do that?

That would require removal of the slider and replacement with some kind of custom html5 video player plugin. This would be quite a bit of work involving JavaScript and inevitably CSS edits too. There is unfortunately no simple way.
If you are going to try this customization but you are not pretty good with js & CSS , i would recommend you get a freelancer to do it.

It sorta works with a simple solution. Doesn’t work in Firefox. I can get the embed code into the slider and it autoplays but in Firefox it is black. It works in IE and Chrome. Any ideas?
When I put iframe youtube code anywhere in your site it seems to be black but only in Firefox.

If you are looking for a YT player then use the YT video capabilities of the slider and add “autostart” & “autoplay” classes to the video slide as mentioned in the help docs. From your previous comment you said you did not want to use YT.
Embedding a new YT player instance may work (pure luck) in one slide and for one play but it will not work cross-browser or consistently and as mentioned earlier, there is no simple solution.

Is it possible to buy the theme and put the functionality easily in your own design. Or are you planning on selling the script for preloading and choosing different page animations?

If you were happy with the current template structure, then inserting your own design would be just a case of reading our Docs about how page linking works etc, and then customizing the CSS . However if you wanted to change the structure of the template significantly, then you would need good ajax/js skills. Alse seeing as it would be custom mortification work, it would fall outside the scope of our support.
We do not plan on selling that part of the template separately.

I hope you can help me; as we only work with PHP , I like to know if is possible to deal with this template also on DOT NET (. NET ). I need to ask you this as my client is looking to do some updates in the future and they deal with .NET and as I don’t know about it, I like to know if it will also be ok.

Doubletake is a plain html template so it makes no difference if server supports php or .NET, it would work in any case. We only use php to send contact/newsletter email but those script are so simple that it would take nothing to convert them to .NET

doubletake is a plain html template, as such it doesn’t include admin features. So you would have to create (or find) a 3rd party script to handle such feature.

Hi,
Yes there is an option to make the main slider fade instead of the Ken Burns effect. You would simply need to add a couple of attributes in the slider markup. If you decide to purchase, head to our support forum and we will paste the required changes there.

As far as I’ve understood, it takes the pagename.html in the links url and ads them as an ID on the link?
A unique ID for each page and link is simple, is that all it takes? Anwhere else I need to alter the code?

unique id for each page should be enough. By default it’s autocreated from page name but, since you’re using WordPress, a common prefix+ page/post ID should also work.
