Is there a way to register on the support forum? I keep getting the error message registration is not open.

Hi,

support system was changed couple months ago and now uses email one-on-one approach instead of forum, if you need any help you can send me email via contact form on my profile page.

Hello, can you please suggest me a compatible “Eu Cookie Law” plugin for Downtown Theme?

Hi,

all of them should work just fine. I suggest to pick the one that suits you most :)

I’m trying to make the header-wrapper transparent without using the fixed-header.

When I disable the fixed header in theme options then apply custom css as below it doesn’t work. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong please?

.header-wrapper {background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.6) none repeat scroll 0% 0%;}

Hi,

most likely wrong css code.

Try this
.header-wrapper {background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.6);}

No change, I’m afraid. Any other suggestions?

Can you show me your site? Header is probably transparent, but in order to see it you have to change body background color.

Hi, I unfortunately cannot seem to figure out where to modify the “Continue reading” text, when using the more tag. Any chance you could help me out with this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hi, hope you can help with this ASAP. I’m trying to hide the featured image on my article page. I want it to show on the blog page that shows all the articles, but not on top of the article itself. Look here: http://nordesign.nl/10-populaire-websites-krijgen-een-redesign/

I have tried doing it by using CSS, but I’m having a very hard time finding the right code to put in CSS, I’ve tried everything but to no avail:

} #image-overlay .post-overlay { display:none }

It doesn’t work! Can you give me the right code to put into the CSS.

Put it in the style.css file but didn’t help as I expected. I would like to issue to be solved ASAP if possible. Is there a place where I can drop you Admin details?

.post-item {

display: none; }

This one worked!!!! Thanks! Follow-up question. Is there no way to hide the title on a blog post? If you follow the link you will notice that there is a breadcrumb and a title, 2 h1 tags really. It doesn’t look nice to have the title show twice, especially on mobile phones. Any idea?

You can add this

.post-header {display: none;}

Cheers

Hello, plugin / widgets are using theme css.? How can we fix that?

Hi,

the only style that is used in this form and comes with the theme is font. The rest is used from plugin.

If you’re not receiving an email then it’s most likely plugin configuration issue. I suggest to contact plugin author or read through plugin documentation to set it up properly. Theme has nothing to do with it.

Hello Marcin, sorry for getting back to you again but I have installed 2 new plugins and I am facing same css problem. 1. Please visit http://www.220.info/contact/ you will see 1st two form fields are not looking good and missing some css or merging with theme 2. At home page just below slider you will see a domain search plugin. There also domain search bar css is not good.

Thanks

Hi,

ok, so you meant that forms actually doesn’t use theme css? Ok, it’s clear for me know :)

This is because I can’t provide styles for each plugin and each plugins comes with it’s own styles. If you want to use theme styles with some custom plugins you can of course do this, but you’ll need to use some extra css for this.

If you want to match styles you can open style.css file and search for inputs, textarea etc. that uses class “wpcf7”. I use this to style Contact Form 7 plugin.

Just keep in mind that you’ll most likely need some dirty hacks, because from what I can tell plugins that you’re using on your site includes !important rules in their css and that’s a pain.

If you want to match button just use those classes:
btn btn-default

Hi,

I´m interested in your template, but first please let me know if, in mobile devices, there´s a way, when we click the menu, to only open the main menu, and not all the submenus.

Thank you

Hi,

thanks for considering Downtown :)

No, for now there is no option for that.

Hi,

I’m looking how to link the titles located in the top section of your homepage preview. In this example http://www.m-themes.eu/themes/downtown/ it’s the ‘Based on Bootstrap 3, Clean and modern design, Fully responsive, etc’ pullouts.

I’d like to be able to link these titles to other pages on my site.

Cheers!

Hi,

You can just add

url="http://www.yourlink.com"

to your shortcode. There is an option to add “Service url” when you set service shortcode.

Not sure how that was missed – thanks!

Hi Marcin, can you tell me were I can change the breadcrumbs text “you are here” into the Dutch “U bent hier” ? tnxxx

Hi,

it should be available in mo/po files, but if you don’t want to custoimze them you can open includes/breadcrumb-trail/inc/breadcrumbs.php file and change this text on line 178.
