How does Fortune compare to Duotive 2WO? Is there a migration path?
I have a site which heavily uses 2WO Portfolios, but I don’t know how compatible that is to Fortune’s.
Not very compatible. There are a lot of things different from 2wo. There are a lot of improvements. The portfolios now are created with custom post types, so migrating from one to another is not possible.

this is a really nice theme but you use Timthumb and I think that the site is very slow with that. Is it possible that you can make a version without Timthumb?

unfortunatley the theme purchases at the moment do not motivate such a big change.
Sorry for the early entry written. The demo page took with me a long time to load and I thought it’s up to Timthumb. Now that I have read the earlier comments it doesn’t seem to be due to Timthumb. The problem was probably due to the current load on the server.
I’ll probably pull in reference to this theme to buy and use for my V-Dub-Site. However, I have two more questions:
1. Is it possible to fit the images in the blog view with a hover effect? Or that would be a very big effort?
2. Is it possible to store the text in full-screen-slider with a transparent box? Some images (especially images with large amount of white) otherwise, the text is lost in the background image.

The server is not loaded. The demo loads quite fast at my end. I do not know why it’s taking longer at your end.

1. That hover does not make sense. Why would you want to lose in image intensity on hover? Why? On hover you should highlight an image and not loose it’s colors. It’s possible to do that, but not recommended by me. [ just the intensity of the image and not the icon that comes from the left, because that involves something more than just a simple change ]

I am having trouble with my frontpage the post and text are not updating to give me the 3 column format and bottom scroller. But it shows just like I need it when I created a new about page and chose the business layout. I am using WP 3 .3.2 and the lastest fire fox WP directed me to contact duotive. Any suggestions

got a couple of elementary questions, but could this theme use a mega menu / flyout menu without any interference to the code? (if so, are there any you can recommend? Also, can I insert tables as I will need to list prices like this for example: http://www.circleleafletprinting.co.uk/products.aspx/flyersHi. The theme out of the box does not have a mega menu, and i do not know of a plugin that has the same style as the theme. I have seen customers use mega menu plugin with the theme, but to be sincere it does not look the same as the theme and it’s not blending nicely design wise. Other than that they worked. Uber menu if memory serves well.
The theme has a pricing display solution, but not tables. Hello. It works on the phones we tested. However the theme is NOT iPhone friendly and it was not designed to be. It was created for a normal browser.
HI, I just purchased your theme and I uploaded the Scarlet red to my bgs folder. Then when I go into background and choose the predefined background from the scarlet red selections, and save changes. I am not able to see anything but a while background on the site.
How can I fix this?

I’m viewing this on the iPad 2, and the layout is not center. It’s off to the right, you have to pinch it back to get it centre. Other than that, this is really nice. Coming from version 2 of your theme, you have outdone yourself again, awesome. =)

Just wondering if your releasing Duotive FIVE ? I want to purchase this but if your releasing FIVE in the next week or so, then I will wait. Or if you can email me a screen shot of Duotive FIVE . If no plans for FIVE , then I will purchase this one. =)

Hi —I have taken a look at all of your themes and they seem to be really well done. A lot of my clients have galleries (lots of galleries) and your themes have great options for them.
Question—Does your themes support the use of NextGen in your various gallery types? All of my clients use NextGen because the native WP gallery system was just to slow and hard for them to use. I have a client with 50+ galleries and at least 5000 pictures. I can’t imagine them loading on at a time.
Maybe you know a way around this. It is something I have been trying to solve for years. I have stuck to NextGen because it is the best I have worked with.
Also are you going to be going to a responsive layout in version 5?
Hi. What i can suggest is that you create albums, using the portfolio layouts and add the images inside projects. It does not matter how may projects you want to create, there is no limit with that. If not, as far i have seen with our customers, nextgen worked properly with dt fortune.
The next theme will not have a responsive design. You will see why

Nevertheless, a responsive theme with 50+ galleries and 5000 images, is kinda useless, and besides the point of responsiveness. As far as i know that is created for mobile devices, and not all mobile devices have all the time access to wireless.
I do a lot of real-estate and interior designer work… They like to give their clients an ipad and show them examples. So the workflow is—site, then category (portfolio is fine), sub-cat (album is fine), then array of images, and then full screen show on ipad. This is the workflow for many of my clients.
So two questions… Can your portfolio and sliders use images from NextGen?
And if they can’t, what is the workflow for adding an album with 100 pictures? They create a new album and then how do they load pictures into the album?
(If it is like loading a picture into a post, that would take too long—and my clients will mess it up)
They should work fine with nextgen and if not i will take a look and make any adjustments on the support forums, if necessary.

Version 5 is nearly done. Just the documentation and some tweaks on the demo. Should not be long until we can launch now.

Anyway we can see or look at version 5? The NextGen integration sold me on this but maybe I will like 5 better? (100K WP sites use NextGen and there isn’t one on here that fully integrates it—Mazine does OK but not full)
When it will be out you can see it. It’s not ready yet. I will try to see if nextgen work and make it work properly with the theme. Because i know it’s used a lot.
Just made an album with a gallery and it seems to work fine with 5ive.
I don’t mind helping with the NextGen integration—I have created tons of NextGen templates and stuff so I can provide good feedback. I do however need to figure out if I should just start my next project or wait for 5. Also I might try to integrate the next site with bootstrap or something that goes more widescreen than 960.
Basically my two biggest client complaints right now are galleries (NextGen not integrated and how the galleries look on ipad) and how they want the site wider on new laptops…
You want a responsive template. Than i am sorry, but the next theme we have is not responsive. Including a bootstrap does not do anything for that.

Themeforest just updated ALL Themes to $50… that makes buying and updating sites more harder. Now I can only buy a theme that I feel it will be the final purchase, so far I spent close to $500 on themes for myself, paying the $35. When a new theme comes out, it beats the old theme I purchase.
Now with the $50 price increase Themeforest made.. I hope the new 5ive theme is worth it, if not, going to have to leave themeforest and find another source. =|
I hope to keep you on themeforest with the new theme. Nevertheless, i do not know of another marketplace that has themes that are as complex as some on themeforest. So if you want to buy from another place, you will have to make a lot of custom work on them to make them do what themes on themeforest do. ( some of them, some are not even worthy to be called premium themes )
What I do like about Themforest is the authors give support, themes are more affordable. I keep on buying because most themes look great in DEMO but when I start to design it to my needs, it just doesn’t function right, therefore I end of buying another theme, then another theme. At $35, it was easy to keep on updating my themes. The price increase should of been slower, like from $35 to $40, but a big jump from $35 to $50 is big.
If I was a author, the price increase is perfect and much needed as the hardworking and support giving. But it’s pretty cool to see you guys make an easy $70,000 us dollars creating themes. Now with the price increase sales might be lower.
If 5ive was out a few days ago, I would of purchase it, now I will have to compare it to other theme forest themes and other places to make sure it’s what I want. Increase in price just makes purchasing themes more carefully once, then keep on purchasing multiple themes. So now I’m just looking for “That” one theme, next purchase might be in a year later. =|

do what makes you feel better and lets you know the right product. The price difference of 15$ is much, but even with the old pricing i think that 5 would have been evaluated at 40$. I understand your frustration, but we do not have a personal say about this. 
I really like the gallery slideshow you have… but client wants responsive. Can you sell that alone?
