Hello!
I am thinking about purchasing this theme for a client and want to know if we can remove the front page (bottom) slider? Is it possible to make that another area for front page widgets or eliminated completely?
Please let me know.
Beautiful theme, by the way and welcome to ThemeForest!
Irma
remove the front page (bottom) slider? – disable from admin panel
Is it possible to make that another area for front page widgets or eliminated completely? yes.. enable the front page manager and don’t add anything in it.
Great theme. Hopefully you can help me adjust that gray background to the green.
emailed waiting for response…
Hi duotive,
i just purchased your beautiful theme.
Let me ask you one question. What ist the best image format size for the sliders ?
Kind regards,
Carlos
Please let me know all different needed sizes for images in:
Slider 3, single and complex Portfolio Post previews on Bottom of Mainpage
Thanks in advance
send mail but keep in mind: use landscape image format
There is a bug in this theme with search form. Check in your demo:
On this page (blog page) type “blog” (without ””) in search field: http://demo.duotive.com/duotive-one/blog/ and you will get results.
But on this page here: http://demo.duotive.com/duotive-one/portfolio-two-collum/ You wouldn’t get results for same query.
It seems that pages and posts are separated regarding search option (not sure maybe by categories too). I placed search widget in general area assuming that in this case search function will run through entire site but it doesn’t.
Can you please fix that and send us a solution.
Thanks
that is a wordpress issue not for the theme if the search widget dose not do what you want
Soultaker, why don’t you make your own? Since your giving commands, give Duotive a break, he’s a talented coder and it is WRONG to blame on his efforts, these themes don’t just be accepted they go through a process and this template met envato criteria. Before pointing fingers this issue could be related to something else other than duotive coding!
Re: DappaDesignz
I paid for this theme and I expect that it works. At least in such a common things like searching the site. I wouldn’t do my coding because I already paid for this.
However, I can see you didn’t bought this theme, didn’t you? But you are defending the author. That is strange.
Yeah im sorry for kinda having a go at you, i think the author is happy to help you if you provide him the details hes asking, thank you.
re: DappaDesignz
No he isn’t. In place of helping me (and others who purchased this theme) he prefer to ague.
Anyway for all of you who bought the theme here is the fix (no need for ftp, just edit it via dashboard):
Replace code in “searchform.php” with this:
<form method="get" action="<?php bloginfo( 'home' ); ?>/" id="searchform"> <input name="searchword" maxlength="20" size="20" class="inputbox" value="Search..." type="text" onfocus="if(this.value=='Search...') this.value='';" onblur="if(this.value=='') this.value='Search...';" /> <input class="search" value="<?php _e('Search'); ?>" type="submit" /> </form>i want to make the text that overlaps the slider items appear from right to left, so i can use it in Hebrew. where can i change it?
hello. add * { direction:rtl; } in the top of style.css file
and all directions will change… but i think there are places that need more customisation, or you could send me a mail with a printscreen where you want the direction to be changed and i can tell you what to do
Hello, sry for my englisch
but i don’t know why there are arrows for the contentscroller. the arrows left and right do nothing. and the postcount in the adminsettings…whats that for? have to set the displayed posts manually?
greets Roman
hello
” i don’t know why there are arrows for the contentscroller. the arrows left and right do nothing.” – if the post count in the category selected for content slider is smaller or equal to 4 the arrow won’t do anything…
“and the postcount in the adminsettings…whats that for? have to set the displayed posts manually?” – the number of posts the slider will take from the category set in the field below : Category IDs
Hello, i have more than 6 posts in my category with the number 1. i have set the categorie ID “1” and the number of posts which will be displayed in the slider “10”. but the arrows do nothing. not in chrome, not IE, not safari. can u help me?

Error: uncaught exception: [object Object]
i need the ftp / wp admin dates so i can login and see whats wrong… send them via support@duotive.com. thanks ps. i will correct the slider to because the links go bad in slider…
Hello again
i’ve sended the dates at wednesday, but the contentscroller is not working. Can u help me?
greets Roman
hello. i did not recive any mail…:( try contacting me again via support@duotive.com and duotive@yahoo.com
Duotive,
Can you please tell me (and it would be helpful to include in the documentation in the next update) what the ideal picture size is for the slider in pixels.
I would like to know the max size w x h for the 1 slide and for the 3 slide.
Thanks! Irma
hello
the 3 slider: the big image is 336px x 236px and the two small ones are 238px x 166px but the important thing is to keep the ratio between the width and the height to w / h = 1.42; the other slider is 760px x 256px and a ratio of w/h = 2.96
Maybe I’m missing something entirely obvious, but I can’t get the slider working at all. I have been developing sites on Wordpress for years, so I’m not a newbie, but I have followed the instructions and done everything I know to do and it just won’t work at all, any advice?
Forgot to add the URL , www.smyrnafinehomes.com
did you edit something in the themes js? or added custom js? you can e-mail me with ftp details and i will have a look
and i think it if because of the mootools / nextgen gallery conflict
I haven’t made any edits to any of the theme files. I will shoot you an email, duotive@yahoo.com right?
or at support@duotive.com but i will look only later today because i am not at the office
Hi there! It seems that the plug-in you installed (Smooth Gallery) is using an older version of mootools (v1.11 to be exact) and the theme uses v1.24 so that’s where the conflict comes from. We suggest that you use a gallery that uses the mootools version 1.24 or uninstall the plug-in. The old version of mootools discards all the functions that the theme uses and that’s why the slider or any other javascript functions does not work. Hope this explains it well.

+2 more3develop you have an e-mail with the update and tomorrow we will queue a file for checking with recent fixes… thank you
Thanks for answering my earlier question.
Now, of course, I have more:
1. I have turned off comments to several pages and posts. is there a way to eliminate the “Comments are closed” from the theme?
2. Also, how can I change the fields in the “contact page” settings. 2a. I would like to have 2 different contact pages – one for general information and one to schedule appointments. Suggestions?
3. I can’t seem to get the copywright section of the footer to hyperlink to my site – can you help?
Hello. Send me the ftp and wordpress admin details and i will do: 1. I can edit the single.php file for you because the theme dose not have an on off switch for that. 2. Just write me in the e-mail what are the 2 addresses and i will make the cnahges needed. 3. Add the html code u added there and i will correct it.
Hi Duotive
Perfect theme for what I after, I have just a couple of questions.
The Url is www.kent-lighting.co.uk, you can see I have added a larger logo which over hangs and I really like it like that but when you go onto a page it give a small title underneath, is there anyway to disable this so it doesnt not show up.
Also can I disable the Author, Date and Categories so that is doesnt show on the blog post if I have this on the home page?
Top notch work fella, love it
Puffin

Hi Duotive,
impressive design, it made me thinking seriously to purchase it! Just one question beforehand: is there an option inside the admin for the method you used at the Home menu of the demo version? I’m referring to the „With blog” / „With front page manager” options. Or did you do it with cookies?
You see, what really caught my attention in the first place, apart from the catchy design, is the ability to choose between this home page manager and the classic blog structure. Just what I need!
Thank you very much for your reply (and sorry if this info is already on the page somewhere)!
Cheers, Abady
Oh, I meant on-the-fly, obviously. Sorry.
Hi there ! Thank you for taking time to look at our theme. About your question: in the admin panel you have a yes/no option for the Front Page Manager, if you set it to “no” the blog layout will appear. Hope that’s the answer you are looking for. Cheers!
Hi!
Thank you for the quick answer!
Yes, that one I guessed already – obviously you must have put an option to the admin for choosing the desired structure otherwise it would have been pointless, right?
That’s why I sent my supplementary comment: is there any possibility to change it on-the-fly? Just as one can see on the demo page? I’d like to leave it to the visitors to decide as they wish.
I was a bit confusing, sorry.
So once again, the keyword is „on-the-fly”! Is it possible?
Cheers, Abady
we can setup the custom code we are using in the menu for you. on a link on the main menu or any other link of your choosing, and yes it saves the change in a cookie
