Setting up child theme and running into some issues. It appears as if there is supposed to be a drag and drop interface to re-order/disable/enable parts of the theme on the home page (feature blocks, news, events..etc)

Nevermind, i Figured it out, must be a conflict with renaming the child-theme.
I bought this theme and love it. I would like to know if I can add an additional tab next to the ‘donate’ tab. Is there something I can edit to add this, even if it is only editable from css rather than the theme panel?

Actually I just pushed out version 1.8 seconds ago…you might want to contact me via my profile page so I can send you the latest version before you go on editing things.
Anyway, to add an extra tab you’ll need to edit single-events.php – you’ll need to add extra HTML it can’t be done just via CSS .

I am using version 1.7 and want to update to 1.8. Which files should I upload (which files did you make changes in)?
To be honest I made TONS of changes everywhere, nearly all the files. However, I didn’t make any changes to style.css so if you are worried about any changes you’ve made in there you can update all files except that one.
However, my suggestion is always to download the latest version. Rename the main zip to something else, maybe “Earth-New”. This way you can upload it and still have access to the old theme just in case you want to quickly switch back.
If you do that though, you will have to go to your menu dashboard and re-save your locations as well as re-save your permalinks. But its better then overriding your files and not having a backup

Is it possible to change the template banner to a full-width banner? LOVE this template, but the only thing I wish were different is that it was a full width banner.

Not quite sure what you mean by “full-width: banner. Do you mean the slider? If so, this would require some changes. You’ll need to remove the css that makes everything all boxed in so you can set a 100% width to the slider, then add css to center and box in the header, main content and footer.
To make the slider full-width though, would require adding another slider. The slider revolution plugin would probably work well

I’ve downloaded the latest version they have on ThemeForest to double check and I’m not seeing any issue. Usually a “Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by” error is caused by a blank space somewhere in the PHP . Do you have any plugins active?
Undefined indexes shouldn’t show up, since the theme options should get imported into your database on theme activation.
Just to verify…you are using the latest version of WordPress?
When you say “The theme does not look proper as well.”...do you mean it doesn’t look like the demo? If so, that’s because you need to add your own content or import the sample data (mentioned in the docs).

Hello, I have purchased this theme, its a great theme by the way! I would like to know, if possible, how to change the number of columns in the gallery. I would like to have a three column gallery instead of the four columns available. Thanks.
You’ll have to do 2 things for this.
1. Increase the widths of the columns via CSS so only 3 fit instead of 4 – style.css
2. Increase the output image width (in the template files and single-gallery.php file) so the quality is maintained.

Sounds like you don’t have the GD library active on your server. It’s required for WordPress to be able to resize images. Can you confirm?

You can, but there aren’t any built-in options. You will need to customize your CSS accordingly on your own or hire a web desginer.
Just another question, is it possible to change the background of .png-images because it shows it black and doesn’t look very professionell.

Usually this is just a small WP bug…have you tried re-saving your permalinks?
Settings->Permalinks -> Save.
One More Thing, I want to add the Gallery, FAQ and Events to the RSS Feed. How Do I Do That?
You can do this with a plugin, please search on WordPress.org. Also, if you notice WordPress automatically creates a feed for each post type.

In the latest version there is an option to reverse the order of your events, but it will do it everywhere (homepage, events page, widget). It would be under Appearance->theme options->events.

I tried adding this: ‘order’ => ‘ASC’,
to ‘event.php’.
Got an error…
Clearly it hasn’t been added correctly. Make sure the item in the array before it has a coma at the end. Also if you copied and pasted the code, maybe delete and try typing it out to make sure the issue isn’t with the copy/paste.
This was the problem: ’=>’.
Once I changed it to ’=>’, it worked well.
