I’m sorry you came into trouble with IE.

I have tested it on IE 6 , 7 & 8 without any problems. Make sure you don’t have a plug-in or a password management program that clears or replaces the default values in the inputs.

You can try to enter manually the following data:

Username: easyadmin
Password: demo

and click the login button, it should be ok.

Let me know if you keep having problems..

Still not working. Using ie 8.6001.18702 on Windows 2003 R2

There must be a problem with the authentication. Do you get an error message ‘Invalid Username/Password!’ or you just see the same login page after submit?

You can see the admin template without authentication in the link below:

http://www.kliroseis.gr/demos/easyadmin/index2.php

Another try with IE 8 .0.7600.16385 on Windows 7 and everything was fine.

just a doubt. The script is in PHP , can I use ASP for this skin? What I’ll lose with ASP on this, could you tell?

There are two things in which php was used in this skin:

1) Some basic authentication
2) The twitter functionality (twitter class + twitter update file)

Beyond that, all else is html and javascript :)

I was very please with the demo but I’m quite a novice and got immediately disappointed. I thought the message count in the demo where being pulled from a database with non auto refresh ajax to make the user aware of a new message. That’s not the case at all. The included php files are useless. The login could at least have a sessions controller other than start sessions. Good prize, just not what I thought I was getting.

First of all, thank you for your purchase and your support and I’m sorry you expected something else.. :(

To begin with, this is a general skin of an admin panel and I created in such a way that is easy to develop the back-end. It never meant to have the functionality you refer to, it is just developed in such a way that is easy to build this functionality.

-> The new message count as well as the new messages effects are just a template and you have to add the functionality you want (the specific messages are for demonstration). For example, if inside the span with the id “cm-nums” (message count), you put the number of new messages from your database, you are set. It will decrease automatically and you won’t have to worry about it again.

-> As for the php files (login-logout), these are created for demonstration purposes again and for a start point, so you can add your own authentication solution fast (as I said above, it is just basic authentication).

Just drop me a line through my profile if you need further help! I will be happy to assist you and show you how easy you can implement the new messages functionality for example :)

PS: Don’t forget to check the documentation, as I have information about the new messages & new comments!!

I wish to purchase but wonder if there should be a Drop down list (sub nav) as there is not a lot of expansion in the Top nav and would require a sub nav to allow it to expand.

What are your thoughts? and could you implement?

After reading the comments, I switched over from Linux to Windows to try the Admin panel on IE.

When viewing through the Live Preview, the login does not work, but if you click on the X in the upper left to “Remove Frame”, after that it does work.

I realize the comment from @rcroeder was 10 months ago, but I just figured I would post this for any future people that may have problems using IE and trying to login.
