Hello! I have a problem with “Shop Category”. In demo on Themeforest you use accordion menu “Shop Category”, but after quick install i have a simple virtuemart category menu without accordion. how make accordion menu like demo?
We had stopped it from updated version 1.5 as there it was creating some problem like there overlapping + button. But if you need that you have to just change some css file. Check the demo by inspecting for that category option and then add that css code in vmart.css.
It was default virtuemart category module. So you can delete all the code for that in vmart.css (Find the code by inspecting and remove it then it will automatically work like accordion )

Hi, Yes you can change by editing that file. I am giving you example how you will do that. If you want you also can make language file or can edit directly. Lets say we want to change the text”Create an account” to your language so just do that Go to here modules \ mod_rox_popuplogin \ tmpl \ default.php and open the file go to line number 120 And check the line <?php echo JText::_(‘Create an account’); ?> Replace the “Create an account” with your language thats it. i realise the checkout as guest function is not shown at the primary cart page, it only shows after keying in all the details at the billing address page, is it possible to make the checkout as guest show in the “cart” before asking for billing details like other ecommerce platform such as magento and opencart?
and also lets say i initially clicked “register and check out”, but now i change my mind, i want to select “check out as guest”, it does not allow me to, and forced me to validate the registration details for account registration.
im not sure whether this are limitations of virtuemart?

Hi, Check the virtuemart configuration from admin area.There it should be. You can define it in your shipment configuration. We are always making demo design for default functionality we are not changing core function any time. So everything supported by virtuemart will be there. As I remember there it have. Thanks
Hi TR! I can display the price with discount on the product details, yet on the product category, I can only see the ammount of the discount.
How can I change this file to show the price before the discount. /public_html/templates/rox_ecart/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php
First go to the virtuemart configuration and then check there have some settings about price how you want to show it in category page.Now /public_html/templates/rox_ecart/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php the file is our layout override file. To make changes you first need to check the main file from here components\com_virtuemart\views\category\tmpl\default.php copy the file and replace with ours one. But keep in mind to make backup before that. And then override the file you need.
Still can’t display the before and after discount price. Probably it has something to do you the VM language I’am using. I will search for a solution. Thank you.

I have problems with the structure of the VirtueMart products. If I start from scratch to build the structure of the products, this does not work how it should be in the demo. On the front page, I choose to see the product categories, sub-categories and hereafter everything becomes chaos as it does not display anything and just returns to the main categories. If I install the demo data, which brings VirtueMart and modify, is the same. What I can do to control the structure of products in VirtueMart? In short, I never get to see the products I have created.
Hi, You are missing something. Like if you want to create products and categories it like Main>Sub>Child the when creating product first select Main From right side category selection and then select Sub and then Child. Check this site http://www.goldfishguitars.com (Its one of our client and we make the site for him) there we had created product in categories and everything is fine. Check the products menu. Here you see the categories and sub??-categories. One detail is that the plus sign does not appear. Another detail is that if you select the sub-category of “baterías”, and I can’t see the battery product I created. Appear many others who were in the demo info, but I can’t see the product I want. Hi ThemeRox, I’ve never made a Virtuemart site and I’m looking for a little guidance. I love your template and would love to use it on my next project. Could you direct me to some basic training/info?
My 1st direct question however is; can I turn off the cart system but use every other part of your template? What I’m trying to accomplish is a site that uses the Virtuemart system but does not actually have any on-line order system. Does this make sense?
