Hi lovely theme.

1) Can I modify the layout in the single porfolio, txt at the left, and instead of the pictures are the same size, can I make one big size and 4 small sizes?

2) lets say I have 3 menus like commercial, documentary and stills, is it possible to make 3 differnet porfolios? So when you click at the commercials menu you you will only see the commercials portfolio?

Or does I have to manual make a page for each menu?( I hope not)

3) on a single portfolipage how can i put more than one video and can I combine 3 stills and to video.

Hi Lars,

glad you find the theme lovely! Thanks for buying it. :)

To answer your questions:

1, 3) All of this is possible, but since it is not available out of the box, some development work is required of you, and that is most definitely a task for a developer, given the complexity of the job in hand.

By the way, if you are not a developer yourself, but absolutely need to have the mentioned features available in your copy of the theme, then my best suggestion for you is to turn to the forums, or Envato’s freelance marketplace, http://freelanceswitch.com/ to find a reputable freelancer for the job.

Hint: the main file to modify in this case is single-my_portfolio.php. Other files are subjective to change as well.

2) You can separate your portfolios by categories, that you define under Portfolio -> Categories tab of your WordPress admin panel. You just need to assign the categories to the items, like explained in the documentation, and then include your categories in the menu, under the Appearance -> Menus tab.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Thanks for you answer.

Another question. I had find out a solution to filter the portfolio. So when I am on the portfolio page, then I would like to point to a separate page, instead of the normal single portfolio page where the layout customs function is limited.

like this example http://www.villagreta.pl/portfolio_categories/pokoje/

Hi Lars,

you are very much welcome! Glad you managed to setup the filter properly. :)

As far as your latest question goes, you would have to customize the single-my_portfolio.php file, including the style.css file, to get the single portfolio view to look like that. Mind you, this is definitely a task for a developer, once again, so my best suggestion for you is to hire one, if you are not a developer yourself.

Before purchasing I want to know:

1. Is it possible to make clickable the image of the slider? I want that if you click in the slider go to a post.

2. Is it possible to have social icons in the top, like in the equilibrium/yin yang themes?

Thanks in advance, I like your theme a lot

Hi there,

thanks for taking an interest in the theme!

To answer your questions:

I wish you the best of luck whatever you decide to do! :)

Hi OnionEye!

I’m having a little trouble with some captions underneath images. If I add one caption, it works fine. If i add another, all captions disappear and the image breaks and is shifted to the end of the line. Any ideas what may be happening here?

Working with 1: http://i.imgur.com/7esaz.png
Broken with 2 (or more): http://i.imgur.com/FodUS.png

Site I’m testing on (currently with no captions): http://www.iwantcake.com.au/2012/11/19/christmas2012/

HTML dump of site with broken captions: http://pastebin.com/YnSt67Wn

Thanks! xelfer.

Hi OnionEye!

I’m trying to put in header an image logo but i’m having problems. In the General Settings I switched Display logo, and I uploaded it, but it appears a message error. And I don’t know why. I paste it:

Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /usr/home/ciervoalto.com/web/wp-content/themes/echo/admin/theme-functions.php on line 717

Warning: getimagesize(http://www.ciervoalto.com/wp-content/uploads/logo1.png) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /usr/home/ciervoalto.com/web/wp-content/themes/echo/admin/theme-functions.php on line 717

What does it mean?

Thank you!!

onioneye

Hi there,

thanks for buying the theme! Appreciate it. :)

As far as your issue goes, please contact your hosting company and ask them kindly to turn the allow_url_fopen flag on. In case they don’t allow the change, please open up your theme-functions.php file in the /wp-content/themes/echo/admin/ directory, and follow the instructions found on this page: http://dropdo.com/3gq/logo. Once you have finished editing the file, save it, upload the logo, and the whole thing should work.

Sincerely,

OnionEye

It works!!! Thank you!!!!! I love your theme :)

Hello, This is a great theme! I’m just writing because I can’t seem to get the lightbox tool to work. When you click on a portfolio item, the icon spins and spins but the page doesn’t load. I’ve tested it in multiple browsers with the same effect.

Any advice?

Hey, Im sorry to ask her and not the forums – but themeforest no longer seem to have a download certificate link on the downloads page…for anything I have purchased including Echo.

All I want to know is if the theme and the plugins that came with it (Timthumb) work perfectly on PHP 5.4?

Thanks

onioneye

Hi there,

no worries. Simply head on over to your Downloads page on ThemeForest, click on the item’s download button, and you’ll be able to grab it.

As far as your question goes, the theme should perfectly work with PHP version 5.4, so I wouldn’t worry I about it.

Hello. As you know Wordpress 3.6 is out and live. Can we update without any problem? Is theme compatible? Thanks!

onioneye

Yes, all of my themes are 100% compatible with WordPress 3.6, so you can go ahead and update.

Hello: congratulations on your theme, is beautiful and it seems just what I need for my personal page.
I have some pre-purchase questions, if you’d be so kind… Please, keep in mind that I don’t know anything about CSS codes

1/ I see that all the colors are highly customizable, is that also the case with the fonts? Can I easily change the font type, color (it’s elegant, but difficult to see) and size? My clients are not that young, and not regular internet users, they would love to read my pages and blog in a comfortably bigger font size (it’s the same with almost every theme!)

2/ The slide </strongseems perfect, but… does it work with images (uploading or url images) or with blog posts? Cause I don’t know how to manage the latter… :(

3/ Lastly… Do the images resize automatically (I mean, for thumbs and stuff like that)? Thanks in advance!

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme beautiful! Thanks for taking an interest in it!

To answer your questions:

1) Yes, you can easily change the typeface, type color, and type size. There are in-built options for that, so it could be done in a matter of seconds.

2) The slider works on uploaded images, and other types of media, but not with blog posts.

3) Yes, most of the images, including thumbnails, are cropped/resized automatically, so there is no need to worry about that.

Have fun working with the Echo theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Sincerely,

OnionEye

Hi there,

Great theme, a client has asked that we place the logo on each page bar the home page, which has been done, however the theme places a boarder around the images within the body. This is fine for all the images apart from the logo.

How do I remove the boarder from the logo but leave it on all the remaining images on the page?

Many thanks, Sam

No update for this theme since late 2012? The jquery is outdated causing trouble.

onioneye

Hi there,

sorry to hear you are having issues with the theme. Hopefully, another update should come fairly soon (in the following few months), but until then, you can open the theme’s functions.php file, and replace the following line of code:

https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js

with

https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js

That should update jquery to the latest version.

Hope this fixes your issue.

Sincerely,

OnionEye
