I just bought this theme. I am working on my own test box. I have removed all the pages and posts that come with a fresh install of wordpress.
I have nothing setup, so my question is, where is the homepage settings stored? There is content on it, yet i didn’t type anything. Underneath where the slider will be on the front page it has 4 boxes (Economy, Ecology, etc..) How do I get rid of these? Also on the main page there is 4 boxes (About Us, Our Services, etc..) how do I get rid of it?
This content seems to be stored somewhere. I did not import any demo content. I would like to just have content on this page, along with the slider and none of the “4 boxes under the slider”
Under homepage settings it all has “1” no content, yet it shows up.
I have no widgets setup, but at the bottom there are Links, Categories, Our Address (which still has the pre-configured content) and the logo… If I add content to the bottom widgets then it will replace them, but can I have 1 or 2 widgets only?
Sorry for all the comment/questions, it is just that I bought this for a client and I need to make sure it is functional.

ok I will answer your questions :
there’s placeholder content for homepage section, you can replace this by adding your own content from ecobiz theme options, all settings for ecobiz theme located there, so make sure you have configure ecobiz theme options correctly first.

But if I don’t put anything in it, where does the data come from?
Like I said the 4 little boxes that are at the bottom of the homepage slider I do not want. If I leave all the content in the Admin panel blank, it still gets populated with data, and I cannot find where it is located. Can there be an option to turn it off or on? Is that not what the demo content is for, is to populate the pages with data?
I can’t even remove the four columns on the homepage.
Is it at all possible to remove the 4 boxes under the Nivo Slider, and remove the four columns just underneath the “homepage message”? I just want text under the slider.
Lastly, the other question regarding the footer… why is it populated with data? And how can I remove it from there?
I don’t want this template to be a mistake purchase. I can send you screenshots of what I am talking about if you do not understand what it is I am asking.

ok I will answer your questions :
- for 4 columns, I have added an options to disable/enable this from theme options, already submitted the updated version and it’s waiting for approval
- already fixed 1 value issue in theme options in updated versions
- for latest news, it’s just placeholder widget, you can replace this placing a widget in Homepage sidebar widget place.

Thank you for the update. Although you added the ability to hide the 4 boxes, the ability to edit or hide the 4 columns on the homepage should be an added function.

I would move this function to the Homepage Settings (as this only deals with the homepage) and make it either widget based, or the ability to remove it. Since they are columns, the user can just use shortcode to get the columns they want (maybe I only want 2 and not 4??)
Also I had suggested maybe making the footer a widget area as well.. On the widgets page you have Bottom 1-4 that are blank, but on the home page (or all pages) it is still populated with content..

Having a massuve issue with this theme. The nav-menus have stopped working and when I save them menus there is now a 404 file not found error.

I noticed the urls on the demo version are “pageid=3” etc…
is it possibile to configure this theme to actually spit out urls in better english like “world-leading-product-for-water-purification” that google likes? and WP produces?

I’m having quite big problems with the theme. When I activate the theme everything seems fine but in my dashboard I can no longer access the menu settings and my pages disappear, i.e I get a blank white screen with no page content.
There is no issues with other themes.
I doubt my url will be much help but if you click on the page links it doesn’t work either.

Ok I figured out to change the main paig layout look into Main Index Template and you can take out where it grabs the four column php code snippit…

Thanks kahlilc54. I don’t see why we should have to remove functions from the pages in code, I would have expected this type of changes through an admin panel.
So far it seems that to remove the columns on the front page you edit code. To edit the contact text in the footer, you edit code….
Also on the front page there is the “Latest News” which pulls from a blog link…. what if I don’t have a blog?? I guess you have to edit code to remove this function as well.
I guess I was hoping for a bit more with this template. I can only hope some changes can be made to fix these issues, especially some of the hard coded text in the code for the pages.

- make sure you have uploaded only ecobiz theme folder instead of double folder, please refer to documentation for this, or you can provideme your url
- if you want to lowercase the menu and heading section, please add the following css code in theme options => styling options => custom css :
h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6,.jqueryslidemenu ul li a{ text-transform: lowercase; } - default cufon font does not support your language accent, so you can convert your own with your language accents support at http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/, and place your new cufon font at js/fonts folder of ecobiz theme and activate your new cufon from theme options => styling options, or you can disable cufon feature. the category name/title for portfolio limited for 3 words, so if it exceed more three words it will causing the jquery filter wont worked, as alternative you can use category filter instead of jquery filter.

Hi, my client purchased this theme and we have configured all right and he is very happy. The only thing I could not make it work was the Contact form.

Your template looks stunning, we have just a little issue with the visual editor:
When using the theme we don’t see the visual editor anymore (no buttons), text in de editor is white and is in html in the wysiwyg editor.
I have just running your template, no other plugins. Running wordpress WordPress 3.1.2.

I used 3.1.2 version and there’s no problem as you mentioned, maybe there’s missing/corrupt files in your WordPress installation, so please reupload your WordPress theme files.

Hey, man following your solution about fixing the category issue in the portfolio, it still didn’t work. I’m not using more than 3 words, and still the categories boxes in the jquery option or even the normal 4 column with filter are all messed up and on top of each other, i’m using 8 categories. Try it yourself please. Also i wanna know how to remove the visit site button from the portfolio page. Also is there a shortcode for inserting tables. or how can i do it in the first place?

Here is the link for my portfolio. I still didn’t do much to the page i’m only testing it. As you can see the category links are kinda messy and on top of each other?! and the last box on the first row is made of two words and it’s split between both rows, while the categories shouldn’t be split between two rows?!
Also if you click on any of the portfolio itemes, you’ll find the visit site link, which is i don’t want, and there is no option to removie it.
About the table i mentioned earlier, i didn’t mean price table, i meant a normal table where i can list anything in it.

Hi First I want to congratulate you for this template. I have two small problems that I hope you can help: First I translated ecobiz.po file to spanish, but the result is not in the front end. On the other hand, the contact form is not sent. I do not know if I have to configure the wordpress template or in some way.
