FYI : On iPad 2 with iOS 5.1.1 the theme is not working.
Hi agoetzke, egofolio is been widely tested on mobile devices and I can guarantee you that it is working even on iPad 2 with iOS 5.1.1 (tested on multiple ipad).

As I wrote you an email about that visualization problem on the iPad.
That is due to the theme forest frame that is on top of the page just remove it with the X or go directly to demo.undsgn.com/egofolio/light or demo.undsgn.com/egofolio/dark.

Scratch my previous comment / request. Video embed code from Vimeo and YouTube work in the portfolio space just fine and I didn’t realize that you already have a portfolio item description option. 2 out of 3 isn’t too bad …

Vital no, ideal yes. Our portfolio has 5 categories with about 20 items in each category except for one which only has 2 … a new service we started offering a few months ago. So altogether, there will be roughly 82 items which will be a bit cluttered / overwhelming to navigate and look at … especially when you pick the genre that only has the 2 examples from our latest service. Trying to find them will be fun. =)
Thankfully, you have a 6-up option (which I also didn’t realize) which will help in the meantime.

Just wondering, how hard is it to add a blog to the homepage? I need to start working on my wordpress site as soon as possible. Think maybe I can purchase it, start working on my site and then you can email me the code difference or whatever it is that will need to be changed?

I am very interested in buying this theme. I do have a few questions:
1: I notice that there are no vertically oriented portrait images displayed on the demo site. All portfolio images are displayed in a near 16×9 format. How will the theme handle vertical portraits?
2: How will the blog layout handle vertical portraits?
3: How will the blog handle images within a post that are from external host sites such as flickr? I have 2 years worth of blog posts that I would need to successfully migrate without heavy changes.

thanks for your interest.
1. Egofolio handles vertical images in different ways. If you choose the fullscreen portfolio layout you can use there the panning function. If you choose instead the other type of visualization as showed in the DARK demo, the vertical images will be displayed in all theirs length.
2. For the blog it works a bit differently. In the main blog page with all the posts the images there are cropped (centered) to fit the layout as the demo but then showed with original ratio in the single post page.
3. This function will be implemented shortly.

Is it possible to purchase the theme and use it in more than one WP application? I use Wordpress.org for my Host Website, and Wordpress.com for my personal site. I would like to use the theme for both if possible, but I would understand if that’s not feasible.
Also for the portfolio grids is it possible to have captions and if so, how long can the captions be (ie how many words or characters?)

Regroup / realign portfolio items upon filtering instead of fading portfolio items is going to be critical for us. Out of curiosity, what custom approach would you probably take to modify the portfolio to navigate through several hundred items?

The regroup / realign function is something that we are thinking to implement in the future. About navigate several hundred items I would probably use something like the infinite scroll, but is very hard for me to say since I don’t know all the needs of your app.

I have just recently purchased your egofolio and have a couple of questions:
As per documentation, when creating portfolio page, I have tried to insert icon, eg. briefcase-icon, but nothing happens when I publish page, only a small rectangle appears in the area for the icon…this is the same response on all other pages as well.
Additionally, when setting theme options and portfolio page, I can’t seem to find the correct combination that will have the portfolio item, when selected, appear in the large window. I assume that once this functionality can be figured out, that the notes that I place in the visual/html editor of that specific items page will appear below large item as per your demo

I just purchased the theme and uploaded it. When I tried to access it on WP I received the following error message.

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
Name Description __MACOSX Stylesheet is missing. egofolio Stylesheet is missing.
Can you help me sort this out? What is a stylesheet and why is it missing?
I got the previous problem sorted but now I can’t get the images to upload into the theme. when I upload the pics into the standard theme it works but when I try to upload them into Egofolio I can’t see the pictures.
I am using Host Gator.com for the website and they use WP.org. I have a WP.com account that I am going to try to see if I can upload the theme and try it over there and see if it works.

The two demo versions, the light and the dark are just 2 examples of the different layout combination you can have with egofolio. The color style of the theme is not connected with how the template works or other properties.
In simple words you can combine it as you want it to be.

hello! I have a problem with the htaccess. Your template generates a code in the htaccess to html5. This code causes a error .this appears as “Error 500”
I try changing the code to html5 but is regenerated in seconds.
from the ftp I had to delete all the template and delete the code to html5.
when deleting everything I could re-enter the admin

Try deactivate the theme by choosing another one and then reactivate it but this time say not to the Change Permalink Structure. This should help you.
