Currently I rebuilding this entire template into PHP functions so it can be called much easier. It would be nice if a developer would do something like this. For example:

I know this is crude because I am the one using it, so I don’t have any error checking but for breadcrumbs:

function breadcrumbs($nav, $type="basic", $start="1", $size='small'){
    # Building the BreadCrumbs: breadcrumbs('"Home"=>"home|home", "Accounts"=>"accounts|note", "Tools"=>"tools|controls", "Help"=>"help|help"', 'basic', '1')
    $output = "";
    $count = 0;
    $type = ($type == 'big') ? 'big' : 'basic'; # If big, then big, everything else is basic
    $startlink = ($start > count($nav)) ? '1' : $start; # If the start number is greater then the total links, then go back to 1
    $active = ($start > count($nav)) ? FALSE : TRUE;
    $output .= T.T.' '.N;
    $output .= T.T.T.' '.N;
    $output .= T.T.T.T.' '.N;
    $output .= T.T.T.'<nav class="'.$type.'-breadcrumbs">'.N;
    $output .= T.T.T.T.'
    '.N; foreach ($nav as $title => $links){ $parselink = explode("|", $links); $link = ''; $icon = ($type 'big') ? '' : isset($parselink[1]) ? $parselink[1] : ''; $desc = ($type 'basic') ? '' : isset($parselink[1]) ? $parselink[1] : ''; $count++; $title = ($icon "") ? $title : ''; $stacked = ($count 1) ? '' : ' '; $first = ($count == 1) ? '-first' : ''; $activelink = ($active) ? ($parselink[0] != '') ? ($count < $startlink) ? ' bc-active' : '' : ' bc-nolink bc-active' : ''; $link = ($activelink == ' bc-nolink bc-active') ? '' : $link; $iconcode = ($icon != "") ? ' ' : ''; $activelink = ($iconcode "") ? $activelink : ''; $bigcount = ($type 'big') ? ' '.$count.' ' : ''; $bigdesc = ($desc != "") ? ' '.$desc.' ' : ''; $title = ($type == 'big') ? ' '.$title.' ' : $title; $output .= T.T.T.T.T.'
  • '.N; $output .= T.T.T.T.T.T.$link.$stacked.$iconcode.$bigcount.$title.$bigdesc.'
  • '.N; $output .= T.T.T.T.T.''.N; } $output .= T.T.T.T.'
'.N; $output .= T.T.T.'</nav>'.N; $output .= T.T.T.T.' '.N; $output .= T.T.T.' '.N; $output .= T.T.' '.N; return $output; }

I notice when I pasted this, some things are being stripped out, but so far I have:

powerWidget breadcrumbs buttonText buttonIconText buttonTextIcon buttonSocial statsList infoBlocks iconBlocks textIconBlocks contacts

Plus I have the pageparts.php all being called in a class so I can build the page dynamically.

This would be a really nice upgrade so everything is reusable and called programmatically.

Thanks, Jeff

I would think that would make this template much faster, and easier to build custom layouts… For example, let’s say I have index.php

include('elite_template.php');
$conn = mysqli_connect('localhost','username','password', 'dbname') or die ("I cannot connect to the database because: " . mysqli_error($conn));
mysqli_select_db($conn, 'slcom_sldiag') or die("Unable to select database because: " . mysqli_error($conn));
$result = mysqli_query($conn, "SELECT * FROM `table`;");
$resultArray = array();
$counter = 0;
while($thisrow = mysqli_fetch_row($result)) array_push($resultArray, $thisrow);
echo dochead();
echo pagetop('SecureLive', 'index.php');
$breadcrumbs = array("Home"=>"", "Accounts"=>"accounts", "Tools"=>"tools", "Help"=>"help");
echo contenttop($breadcrumbs);
$nav = array("Home"=>"index.php", "Link 2"=>"index.php?link2", "Link 2"=>"index.php?link2", "Link 2"=>"index.php?link2", "Link 2"=>"index.php?link2", "Link 2"=>"index.php?link2")
sidebarnav($nav, $options);

System Overview Page

A overview of all activity with SecureLive.

<section class="g_1_2 sortable-grid ui-sortable">

<?php $data1 = array(“Total Visits”=>”index.php|8382|up”, “Total Page Views”=>”index.php|1302|down”, “New Visits”=>”index.php|69%|up”, “Bounce Rate”=>”index.php|36%|eq”, “New Accounts”=>”index.php|113|eq”); $widget1 = statsList($data1); $options = ‘collapsed|true’; echo powerWidget(‘1’, ‘System Stats|’.$widget1, $options, TRUE ); ?> </section> <section class=”g_1_2_last sortable-grid ui-sortable”> <?php $data2a = array(“Green”=>”index.php|”.$green, “Red”=>”index.php|”.$red, “Blue”=>”index.php|”.$blue, “Yellow”=>”index.php|”.$yellow, “Purple”=>”index.php|”.$purple, “Orange”=>”index.php|”.$orange, “Black”=>”index.php|”.$black); $widget2a = infoBlocks($data2a, ‘block’); $data2b = array(“Total Accounts”=>”index.php|”.$counter, “Basic”=>”index.php|2781”, “Business”=>”index.php|12”, “Managed”=>”index.php|3”, “iZero”=>”index.php|5”, “Zero”=>”index.php|15”, “Zero+”=>”index.php|2”); $widget2b = infoBlocks($data2b, ‘bar’); $options = ‘collapsed|true’; echo powerWidget(‘2’, ‘Account Stats|’.$widget2a.’ ’.$widget2b, $options, TRUE ); ?> </section> <section class=”g_1_2_last sortable-grid ui-sortable”> <?php $data = ’’; $options = ‘collapsed|true’; $totalrecs = mysqli_num_rows($result); $widget6 = contacts($resultArray, $totalrecs); echo powerWidget(‘5’, ‘Conacts|’.$widget6, $options, TRUE ); ?> </section> <!- End #content-main-inner -> <!- End #content-main -> <!- End #content-inner -> include(‘inc_main_foot.php’);

$data4 = array("Dashboard|Return to the Dashboard"=>"index.php|home", "Emails|Check your emails"=>"index.php|mail", "Customers|List of all customers"=>"index.php|vcard", "Reports|See reports on attacks"=>"index.php|layout", "Maps|Global map of attacks"=>"index.php|marker", "Documents|See available documents"=>"index.php|document");
$widget4 = textIconBlocks($data4);
$options = 'collapsed|true';
echo powerWidget('4', 'Quick Links|'.$widget4, $options, TRUE);

As you can see, now I can build a page using functions and set the options quickly. So each page can be dependent.

This is only an example, I am still building this, but for dynamic driven sites, I know it can be done with HTML to display the information, although you are cutting and pasting the same code over and over and over… Let PHP build the code for you. Pages can be added very quickly.

Just a thought… Also you would be an innovator being the FIRST template system that would conform to this. Plus building NEW templates would be just changing a few classes and graphics, everything else would already be programmed.

Thanks, Jeff

Building a php system doesn’t work for the following reasons.

1. most buyers already own a custom build php system(cms) 2. some buyers use the theme without php(they modify the theme) 3. php can be an complex language, so we have to add A LOT of extra documentation. 4. building a php theme will cost us more time, so the max price of admin themes should go up, which it dont 5. php systems should not be sold on TF but on CC.

and there are more reasons why we dont build a complete php system. or use php parts. We already though on doing such a thing but we cant see the extra value of this, as we thing that in the end it will cost us more money that we can earn with this idea.

OK, I can understand that… Can you contact me at jb@securelive.net and send me a price to do this?

Thanks, Jeff

HI,

I like this template, but I’ve noticed that after IOS6 upgrade on my iPhone a lot of features don’t work, such as dropdown and main navigation menu. Any ideas???

Thanks, Paolo

CreativeMilk

Is this occurring with our demo as well, because I am looking at it with the ipad(io6) and iPod(ios6) and i do not see any issues. Do all pages have this issue, and are the issues always or sometimes?

Default-user

This is occuring when I turn on the option “Private navigation” on Safari settings. If the option is turned off everything works fine.

But there is another issue, not related with IOS version: the dropdown menu, like the one on the login form for choosing language or the one with avatar icon on the top right corner, cannot be closed after it has been opened. The only way to slide up and close is to click on a item menu or change page.

Bye!

CreativeMilk

I totally missed your reply, sorry about that but we are going to update the code to prevent the issues in private browsing mode,as this is caused because the of localstorage that will not work when the private browsing mode is on.

Great Work Broo

Thanks :-)

Hello, before i buy it I’d wish to know if the documentation is only what I see in the demo under the “documentation” menu… because I did not understood how to use the jquery/javascript plugin tks astolfo

CreativeMilk

The main document has more info, but if you dont understand something you can ask us. And what do you mean with tks astolfo?

And what do you mean with tks astolfo?

astolfo is my name :)

ok I was wandering the demo and It’s not clear for me how you call the various jQuery if you can explain me the right way to use it or if it’s documented I’ buy it quickly

CreativeMilk

Ah yes now i understand, its thanks and your name ;-) how stupid of me.

If you dont understand something you can mail us and we will help/explain it.

Trust me our files are pretty easy to understand/use(keeping in mind that not every body is an expert)

Very nice theme to build off, love the page tour, it works very well with a few tweaks. any idea of when the update (wizard etc.) will be released as i’m currently working on a project and if its more than a couple days I will start working on my own implementation.

also as stated previously, this theme has an issue in iOS when in private browsing as it uses html5 data store, and private browsing will act as if the allocated data store size has been exceeded

Thanks!

CreativeMilk

Nice to hear, once your project is done please email us some pictures or a link, we love to see how to modified the theme.

We haven’t looked for an solution for the private browsing issue yet, but we will. Thanks for the info, that helps us a lot, the power widgets will be updated with a store-to-db option, so that can be fixed. The rest of the code that uses localstorage will be updated.

Thanks

I’ve really been enjoying the theme, but I seem to be running into issues with running JQuery functions based off of events to <SELECT> objects. I’ve had no issue running JQuery events on or other objects, but nothing seems to happen with events on <SELECT> when the same code works fine outside of the theme. Just this simple JQuery function doesn’t work:

JQuery Function:

$(document).ready(function(){

$("#COUNTRYDROP").click(function() {
});
document.write("Test");
});

<form> <select id = “COUNTRYDROP” name=”Country”> <option value =”01”>United States</option> <option value =”02”>United Kingdom</option> <option value =”03”>Canada</option> </select> </form>

Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks, Brian

To be honest I’m a bit confused by the eSelect function if that’s what you’re referring to. I’ve tried commenting out the <script src=”js/e_select.1.0.min.js”></script> on the page I’m currently working on, but it still doesn’t seem to allow me to use a normal JQuery Function.

All I’m trying to do is write a relatively straight forward JQuery function based on the “this.value” from a <SELECT> drop down. Is there somewhere I need to be looking in the documentation besides the eSelect page?

If it is simply a matter of fully turning off the eSelect function, how do I do that? Again, I apologize if the functionality of your theme is a bit over my head and I’m missing something straight forward. Yours is the most complex theme I’ve worked on so far.

Thanks, Brian

CreativeMilk

If you want to turn off the eselect plugin go to the plugin.js and comment the $(‘select’).eSelect…. Out.

I think that you are trying to get the select value, if so you have to do it like this…..

$('#idofselect').change(function(){ Alert($(this).val()) }).change();

As you dont use click events for select elements.

Okay well we did get some emails form buyers that they found to code organized and easy to work with, so i haven’t heard any negative stuff about it. But yeah everybody works on a different level :-)

looks great on mobile. but the error pages feels bad with my low res wide screen pc.

The error page is small because it was made to fit a mobile device screen.

Hello,

How do we recieve the updates ? It seems that you procided the 1.2 version and I bought the 1.0.

Regards,

CreativeMilk

Thanks for buying this theme!

Updates are included in the main download, you can read about them in the changelog.txt.

Elite theme is still at 1.0.

1.1 should be uploaded this week, you can read about this once it ready on the product page.

Any idea when the wizard may be available?

CreativeMilk

Well we had some delay in our work due sickniss so i cant give you an end date. The theme should be updated to 1.1(includes a premium tour plugin and some other stuff), so we are going to work on the wizard next week and hope the be done soon.

Yeah I also would like to know when the wizards is coming? Is it with 1.1?

I also would like to mention that in the version i downloaded recently there is this section gt IE 7 ]> <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”css/ie.css”/> <![endif]—>[/code]

but there is no such file.

The ie.css was an old file, we deleted this, but is see that documentation.html and index.html have this in there head. You may remove this.

I did the email in the page, I tested directly in the package, if you open the sample forms.html and add size property to it doesn’t work, line 677 forms.html file for example, you don’t need my code for check this problem.

Thanks for the help.

well I did email you back a couple of hours ago…

great work. a customer of me purchased this theme and I should implement it. I have a question to eTabs. do you have a support area or forum so my customer can create an account?

CreativeMilk

At this moment we dont have a custom form/ticket system. The best think that your customer can do is to create an account here and contact us true our profile page http://themeforest.net/user/CreativeMilk so that we can help him/her.

I told them to contact you via themeforest … and may get your email, and tell you may email, this should work I hope :D

Hi, great theme :)

Quick question… How can I set the selected value of an e-select from script?

Do I need to manually override the e-select-selected value and set the option I want to ‘selected’? or is there a more elegant way?

Thanks, Ste.

CreativeMilk

Thanks.

You should add the attribute selected=”selected” to the option thats selected, just like the normal selected form. The plugin will use this attribute.

Thank you for the speedy reply!

Unfortunately that is not working for me :(

I can successfully update the selected option with something like:

$(‘select.chart-field option’).removeAttr(‘selected’); $(‘select.chart-field option[value=”none”]’).attr(‘selected’, ‘selected’);

Which results in the underlying select having the correct value. However this change does not appear to trigger anything with the e-select as the value in the div with class ‘e-select-selected’ reflects the old value and therefore is what you are still seeing as selected on the frontend.

Am I missing something? :)

Thanks, Ste.

CreativeMilk

Hmmm thats strange, as the plugin looks for the selected attribute. I have looked at our files and I dont see any issues. Please contact us true our contact page http://themeforest.net/user/CreativeMilk so that we can solve this.

Hello I have question, what is this “Admin theme”?? Is it a backend to a website? a CMS system? or something else?

It looks very nice!

CreativeMilk

Thanks.

All of the admin themes on ThemeForest are themes, so only styling elements(so front end), no real CMS systems
