Hi,

Great template. Everything is working perfect! Would it be possible for the slide show on home page to fade in and out instead of horizontal or vertical dropping? Thanks for your help!

ignitethemes

open “js/galleria.classic.min.js” on line 10 change slide to fade.

Thank you for your prompt response!

Tried it and something funny happens – first slide is perfect – second and all after are coming up just the bottom half with the fade effect and than after a moment the upper half completes the image – any suggestions?

ignitethemes

That seems to be a glitch only in Chrome when you set Galleria to “fade” effect, just stick with “slide” transition.

There is a JavaScript Error when loading any Page in IE 8 … Happens immediately when hovering over any of the social icons…

Happens on your ‘Live Preview’ as well… is there a Fix?

That’s very minor, doesn’t effect any functionality and the site is still Valid XHTML 1 .0 Transitional. If it bothers you just remove the tool tip.

Here you go….

Adding the var tip = $(); to the beginning will resolved the error…

<script type="text/javascript">
var tip = $();
$(document).ready(function() {
    //Tooltips
    $(".tip_trigger").hover(function(){
        tip = $(this).find('.tip');
        tip.show(); //Show tooltip
    }, function() {
        tip.hide(); //Hide tooltip
    }).mousemove(function(e) {
        var mousex = e.pageX + 20; //Get X coodrinates
        var mousey = e.pageY + 20; //Get Y coordinates
        var tipWidth = tip.width(); //Find width of tooltip
        var tipHeight = tip.height(); //Find height of tooltip

        //Distance of element from the right edge of viewport
        var tipVisX = $(window).width() - (mousex + tipWidth);
        //Distance of element from the bottom of viewport
        var tipVisY = $(window).height() - (mousey + tipHeight);

        //Absolute position the tooltip according to mouse position
        tip.css({  top: mousey, left: mousex });
    });
});
</script>

Hi, Awesome template by the way, exactly what I was looking for. Quick question, everything has been really easy but how do I update with my twitter? I know it must be something really simple… Thanks for your help!

ignitethemes

in the html just search for “twitter” and then replace the id “igniteflash” with your twitter id.

Hi Ignitethemes, I’ve downloaded your awsome HTML theme, but i’m experiencing some technical issues. Basically the on the index page, the slider pictures are in an endless loop. as it turns out, if someone is staying on this page for a long time, the host is forced to send data over and over again, causing outgoing bandwidth flood. example: 4 pictures of total 800k, got to 1G in a few hours. what can we do to make sure the host wont have to keep sending the picture’s data ? My idea was to make the loop stop after 4 times or so, making sure each visitor only sees it 4 times, thus stoping the overload of data sent.

I loved your theme, great work, very simple to work with and adjust ! keep it up !

thx, Daniel.H.

ignitethemes

Hi thanks,
open “galleria.classic.min.js” and you can set autoplay to false. There’s also many more settings you can play with including idleTime, see the help doc, sources and credits, and click on the galleria slider link.

Hi there, thx for the quick reply, I’ve looked into the help doc, read through the galleria slider link, no luck finding a solution. I would like to avoid stopping the autoplay completely. Can you please tell me how to set the slider to stop after 2 rounds\loops ?

thx alot. Daniel.

dunno bud, you should try the galleria forum

Hi there, I downloaded this amazing template to make my new portfolio website easy to use & update. For those of us web design newbies out there, is there an easy way to change the images? I seem to be stuck on that, all the images that come w/ the template are blocks of grey so at 1st i had no idea where my images would go once i put them in there. i tried to put 1 of my images in the image folder & give it the same name as an image already in the folder so i wouldn’t have to change the name of the image in all the code, but the big grey boxes still appeared. I’m really trying to get my site done asap so i can send it to potential employers. someone please help me!

Stuck on how to make two functionality aspects of the Galleria6 page work properly, with a Monday deadline (yeah, I know, right?). Would be thrilled if anyone could help.

(1) I want clicking on one of the ‘more galleries’ thumbnails to load that set of images into the main Galleria window on the page. The only way I know how to do this is to load an entirely new identical glaeria6.html page (with the images changed) via an href command. Seems there should be a way to just swap the images in the Galleria window. Anyone know?

(2) Would also like to make the ‘more’ button at the bottom of the page work so more galleries would scroll in across the bottom. Again, the only trick I know is to load a whole new page. Anyone know how I can swap out just those thumbnails (and the image list they swap into the large Galleria window)?

Frustrated ‘cause I bought this profile and invested 2 days in it precisely b/c I thought it could do these things. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. (I’m a neophyte, I can figure out code, but don’t have a good grasp of CSS or js).

Thanks!

ignitethemes

1. Create a new html page with your gallery, and link the thumbnail to that new html page. This is how it was designed to work.
2. Yeah there is no scroll functionality built in, possibly I could do an update and add that feature, but I’m busy on other things so it wouldn’t happen until next month. If you look at the infinity slider you could modify that to be a thumbscroll, its based off the coda slider.

thanks for your reply!! I already did (1)—works fine, though it’s a bit awkward (‘cause I keep the same list of galleries on the bottom of each page, so if I want to make a change I have to do so on every gallery page). I just keep thinking if I were better with this stuff, there must be a more elegant solution.

On (2), that’s a good idea. But I just went simple, ditched the ‘more’ icon, and let my galleries wrap around. Seems to work fine.

If you have a moment - one other question - I shortened some of the pages (and removed the footer), and now the bottom bar is a stripe b/c it no longer sits at the bottom of the frame (on pages where my content is shorter than the current window size). Do you know what part of the code is controlling the vertical placement of the footer?

And let me also take a moment to say THANK YOU for making your beautiful theme available for such an affordable price. I found myself suddenly with 3 days to get a new online portfolio up and live—couldn’t have done it nearly so nicely without your theme. Thanks again.

ps. I credit you at the bottom of my site with ‘powered by Ignitethemes’—if you would prefer I say Epic or something else there, let me know)

(oh, and by the way, I’m a ‘her’ not a ‘him’)

ignitethemes

Thanks on the credit, although it’s not necessary, greatly appreciated nonetheless :)
Regarding your footer problem email me a link, it’s easier to troubleshoot if I can see it.

Thanks for offering to check out my bottom bar issue. Here’s the site link (I don’t see an email link for you, so putting it here): suzituckerdesign.com/theater

On most pages, whether or not you see the problem depends on the vertical height of your browser window. However, it’s always there when you scroll down on the “services” page. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks again!

(I like to credit people’s work when I can, even if it’s not required).

I think your missing a tag, you probably deleted it by mistake, just above <!-Copyright Section-> you will see /div add another closing /div below it. You can also check your code by using the w3c validator:

If you can read the code, it’s best to look at the links in the code to see what image name goes where; there’s good comments in the code that tell you what section each part of the code is referring to. Make sure you look at the full path, not just the image name—for example, there is an image5 used in the folder boxes and another used in the folder galleria, so make you are replacing the right one.

One thing I did, was to use photoshop to add blocks of color over certain images, then save them to the same name in the same folder, and then reload the html pages to see where they showed up. However, I started from the code, so I already had a pretty good idea where they would show up.

good luck! catcamus

Took the words right out of my mouth :P, thanks catcamus

Hi ignitethemes,

Fantastic theme! Well worth the asking price.

Everything seems to be working 100% except for one thing. The 4 main slider images on the index page are being cropped at top and bottom if I view them at 1920×1080. Seems to work great on iphone, ipad, and most other screens that I have been able to test it on. That one resolution seems to cause this cropping. Any ideas?

Not the end of the world by any means but more and more people have 1920×1080 as a native res so it might start to become more of an irritation over time?

If you ever come up with a CMS that would allow me to upload my photos to the galleries and allow visitors to select them for purchase or download let me know. Thats my end goal.

Thanks again and keep up the great work!

James

ignitethemes

Hi thanks, can you provide a screen cap of the cropping, not sure exactly what you mean. Regarding CMS there is a WP version available.

Hi, I finally finished loading my content into Epic and everything looks great. However I’m having an issue with the default slider on the index page. The slider doesn’t load occasionally, and a blank space is left unless the page is reloaded. This seems to be more of a problem on iPhones and iPads but I have experienced it once or twice on a desktop as well, any help would be appreciated if this is something that can be resolved.

Do you have a link to your site

I didn’t have any problem viewing on iPhone or desktop, perhaps you could try optimizing your images.

Inside each html doc just change the grid setting for the logo and navigation, see the Help documentation for more info on the 960 grid system.

Is the 3d slider not avaiable for the html theme?

ignitethemes

I didn’t include it, but you can add it yourself, there should be info on that 3D slider website.
