but appear in the Tech category

how I can solve this problem.

onioneye

Hi there,

thanks for buying the theme! Appreciate it. :)

As far as your issue goes, you should replace the following line of code, found in the jquery.quicksand.init.js file:

var $filteredData = $data.find("li[data-group*=" + $filterType + "]");

with

var $filteredData = $data.find("li[data-group~=" + $filterType + "]");

That should fix it.

Hi is it possible to have have 2 seperate pages with different portfolio items?? Thanks

onioneye

Hi there,

thanks for buying the theme! Appreciate it. :)

Having multiple portfolios is possible, but since it is not available out of the box, some development work is required of you, and that is most definitely a task for a skillful developer.

By the way, if you are not a developer yourself, but absolutely need to have the mentioned feature available in your copy of the theme, then my best suggestion for you is to turn to the forums, or Envato’s freelance marketplace, http://freelanceswitch.com/ to find a reputable freelancer for the job.

Hi, thank you for your theme, it’s great! But i have a problem with a preview image, it don’t show. The button “File Url” is on.

Hi there,

glad you find the theme great! Thanks for buying it. :)

As far as the thumbnails go, please read the “File Permissions and Image Resizing” section of the docs, to battle the issue to the ground.

Hi, Is this where I have to ask any questions? I’m confused as to where I need to send any questions should I need to. Many thanks Thalia

onioneye

Hi there,

you can ask your questions here, or you can send them via the contact form on my profile page: http://themeforest.net/user/onioneye. However, please have in mind that I can not provide any support for you, unless you contact me with the account, with which the theme has been bought because I absolutely need to verify your purchase first. As of now, you are contacting me with an account, with which you haven’t bought anything on ThemeForest, making you currently not eligible for receiving support.

Thank you for your understanding. :)

I work with many developers. Can you point me in the right direction as to where to begin to add the extra portfolio page?

onioneye

Hi there,

the main steps in making a new portfolio page would involve making a new custom post type for your extra portfolio, and then making a page template, that would display the portfolio items, made in the new portfolio.

For any further information on this matter, you are going to have to consult your developers.

Thank you for your understanding. :)

Hi Onioneye, great theme! Everything is working just fine for me. But – being a bit of a beginner in the whole wordpress theme area – I don’t have a clue of how to translate the english buttons in the theme (into german). Is there an easy way?

Thanks for your help!

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme great! Thanks for buying it. :)

As far as your question goes, the translation is not that straightforward for a beginner, but shouldn’t be too hard as well. For further information, please check out the “Language Files” section of the following article: Internalization and localization of a WordPress theme. Also, make sure you read the “Translation” section of the docs, and follow these directions, after you are done with making .mo and .po files:

Please create a folder named “lang” inside the theme folder, and upload the .mo and .po files there. After that is done, just replace the following code in functions.php file:

load_theme_textdomain ( ‘onioneye’ );

with

load_theme_textdomain(‘onioneye’, get_template_directory() . ’/lang’);

and you should be fine.

I hope this helps! :)

Hi again, I can’t remember my account details which I bought the theme. I have reset my password again. Is there a way of finding out the account details with which I bought the theme from? Thanks Thalia

onioneye

Hi there,

if you have any issues with your account, you need to open a ticked with Envato support because they are the ones who own the marketplace and control it: http://support.envato.com/. I only sell my items on this marketplace, and don’t have any control over purchases or accounts in any way.

Good luck!

Hi,

I am trying to get rid of the gray hover box over the main navigation. As you suggested previously I have inserted the following code (#menu .backLava, #menu .selectedLava { background: none !important; box-shadow: none !important; }) into style.css file, in the menu section. However, no joy. Any ideas?

Btw, the theme is great!

Many thanks, Dejan

I purchased Equilibrium several weeks ago to build our site, and I just wanted to tell everyone how helpful and responsive the developer is. I’ve emailed him several times with special requests and modifications and I’ve never waited more than a day for a full and detailed response.

Hi,

This is a fantastic looking theme! Would like to recommend that a client go with this one but have a quick question first:

Can the portfolio template that you have for pages be used on multiple pages with different portfolio sets? For examples, my client would like to break up her portfolio into Web, Print and Brand—with each page displaying different pieces.

Please let me know if this is possible.

Thank you!

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme fantastic looking! Thanks for taking an interest in it. :)

As far as your question goes, breaking up the portfolio into different pages is certainly possible, but since it is not available out of the box, some development work is required of you, and that is most definitely a task for a developer, but I wouldn’t call it a hard one. A skillful developer should be able to complete it reasonably quickly.

Hint: the main thing to do in this case is to make a taxonomy.php file, that will display the items, which belong to a certain category.

That’s it. Hope this helps. Have lots of fun working with the Equilibrium theme, if you end up buying it!

Sincerely,

OnionEye

Hello, Onioneye.

I purchased your theme recently. I would like to know how to remove the Logo into the left corner of the header? Thank you!

onioneye

Hey there,

To put the logo on the left side, you first need to move the navigation below the logo, in the header.php file. Once that is done, you need to float the #menu element to the right, instead of the #logo element (style.css file). It will probably need some further adjustment, but this is the general stuff you need to do.

By the way, thanks for buying the theme! Appreciate it. :)

Sincerely,

OnionEye

Thanks for your quick answer. Your theme is great!

Hello,

The slider script isn’t loading at all on my Homepage and on my Slider pages. All the files have the right permissions and GD Library is enabled. Also Mod_Security is disabled.

My website is: http://www.dennisvanosch.nl

Thanks in advance,

Dennis

onioneye

Hi Dennis,

you are not setting your homepage properly; the homepage’s template is still the default one, instead of having a value of “Home”. For further information, please carefully ready the “Setting up the Homepage” section of the documentation.

By the way, thanks for buying the theme! Appreciate it. :)

Me again, onioneye. I’ve been able to work a bunch of things out and the theme’s really coming together. Thanks again.

I do have another question though: Since creating a Menu Bar my title or logo has shifted. Is there a way to define the Menu Bar as being smaller so it doesn’t shift the big Dennis van Osch?

My website is: http://www.dennisvanosch.nl

Thanks.

onioneye

Hi there,

the following custom CSS should do it:

#menu { width: 630px; }

You can include the code at the bottom of the style.css file, or via some plugin, made for the purpose of embedding custom CSS to the theme.

OnionEye

Hey,

630px didn’t quite do it, but 310px did it quite nicely. I imagine I’ll have to change this width when or if I add new Menu buttons, but at least I know how to now.

Thanks!

Hi, I would like to add some more social icon so I am using the existing one and change the image to put Pinterest for example but there is still a pop up that says twitter, how can I remove this? And even better, how can I change in the admin panel? Thanks for your help!

onioneye

Hi there,

you would have to modify the “eq_social_networks” function, found in the theme-functions.php file, to make this happen. As far as the admin panel goes, you would have to modify the options.php file.

Once again, thanks for buying the theme! Appreciate it. :)

Hi, Thanks for your answer but, if I change the name of the social media, the icon just disapear, what I am supposed to chance exactly? Thanks

onioneye

You have to modify the code in the foreach block; i.e. employ conditionals, just like I did for the skype link, for example.

By the way, if you are unable to complete this, then my best suggestion for you is to turn to the forums, or Envato’s freelance marketplace, http://freelanceswitch.com/ to find a freelancer, who will complete the job quickly, including other customizations that you have in mind.

Hi there Onioneye,

just bought & installed Equilibrium theme. It is just awesome! My company portfolio never looked as nice! I have a question regarding the “liquidness” of the theme which seems not to properly adapt to iPad, iPhone or whatever other mobile devices.

Do you plan to update the theme making it more device-aware, more “auto-fittable”? For me it is a minor issue by now but would love to implement a fully liquid theme like this in the future…

PS. Is it allowed to publish here my equilibrium-based site? Just would love to hear some feedback! ;-)

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme awesome! Thanks for buying it. :)

The theme itself does not have a responsive layout, but should still be very much usable on mobile devices, like the iPad. As far as the plans for making the theme responsive go, there aren’t any at the moment, unfortunately, but that can easily change sometimes in the near future; however, I can’t really promise anything right now. I will have to think about it, when my latest portfolio theme, that happens to be responsive, is completed.

My honest advice for you is to actually question why you are keen on a responsive website in the first place; just because it is trendy, or because your site already gets, or is expecting to get a lot of traffic from mobile devices?

Responsive is cool and dandy alright, but it’s far from a perfect solution for delivering content on mobile devices, and on top of that, I met a lot of people who want it, just because it’s cool, without actually needing it.

Oh, and you can certainly post a link to your site here, preferably by replying to this post (there is a “Reply” button at the start of the thread).

Sincerely,

OnionEye

juandoscuartos

hi onion! Thanks for such quick answer, as always! :-)

I understand your point on responsive layouts. Well, they seem to be getting all the attention these days and are becoming more of a hype than a functionaility itself. My point is that is just a liitle bit annoying when showing the site on the iPad, but honestly, not a thing I could die for right now. This is not quitting me from sleep! ;-) I can go anywhere with such combo (site+iPad) and feel ok 100%.

So, here’s my company portfolio Equilibrium-site. Hope you and anyone browsing it enjoys as much as we and our clients do. Feel free to point out anything that can be improved!

onioneye

Hi there,

you are very much welcome! :)

I really like your viewpoint on responsiveness. To be honest, after publishing my latest responsive theme in a week, or two from now, I am probably going to build a theme that’s going to be very, very similar to Equilibrium, but fully adjustable to all the mobile devices out there. However, I am not sure I am going to come back and update Equilibrium to be responsive as well because I would have to restructure the whole theme.

As far as your site goes, it looks stunning! Honestly. I absolutely LOVE the font in the footer! :)

Sincerely,

OnionEye
