Hello,

how about WPML support for MENUS? You promised it about 1/2 year ago.

BoxyStudio

The next update will include full WPML support, I promise. (v1.7.5)

I haven’t purchased but am working on a site for someone who has.

Trying to change the favicon. After reading how to do it here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Favicon , I discovered where to do it in the Theme Options. I changed it there. It is updated while working in the dashboard, but not while viewing the site. It may be because I followed the directions for the mentioned link and replaced a line of code.

“Search for the line of code that begins with <link rel=”shortcut icon” and ends with /favicon.ico” />. Overwrite it, if it exists, or add the following code below the <head> HTML tag.”

Problem is, I don’t know what the code used to be to revert it.

BoxyStudio

The favicon sometimes takes a few refreshes of the page to show up. Try a hard refresh to see if it pops up there. If you have it entered in the Theme Options panel, it should show up!

Default-user

Hmmm. I did a bunch or refreshes, hard refreshes, multiple browsers, and different computers. Still no luck. It’s stuck on the espresso favicon.

Did I break the functionality when I replaced the line of code in the Header.php template? (see first message).

BoxyStudio

Oh, I didn’t know what you meant. Yeah, that might have done it. :)

I’m getting an extra line on certain pages and I can’t figure out why. Here is shows up just below the page name. This page uses columns. http://www.atlantasoccerfest.org/WPtest/?page_id=1936 Here is shows up after the page content http://www.atlantasoccerfest.org/WPtest/?page_id=1956

I don’t see it on any of the pages of your Preview site.

BoxyStudio

It looks like that’s the #comments-block element. If you don’t need comments on pages you can disable that block entirely from the Theme Options panel.

Default-user

Thanks. That fixed it

BoxyStudio

Great!

visual baker didnt u why wrong licence

BoxyStudio

You don’t need the license. You can always update the plugin by following these directions: http://docs.boxystudio.com/article/29-faq-how-do-i-install-the-latest-versions-of-the-included-plugins

More of a comment than a support ticket. I’ve purchased 2 copies of Espresso, I just activated one copy I purchased in Feb and updated everything.

It is completely different than the first one I set up. Further inspection shows the first one was from Author Justin Scheetz v1.3 on WP4.0

The new site is from Boxy Studios v1.7.1 on WP4.0. Where can I get a copy of the Justin Scheetz?

The new theme is stripped of many items the Justin theme has, like testimonials, woo commerce, projects, teams and the such. It was great working with it. The new copy, not so much, kinda stripped down IMO.

Thanks.

BoxyStudio

The theme never had Portfolios, Testimonials, etc. so it must have been from plugin you installed. I do know that Live Composer comes with those features, but it has since been removed as an included plugin, so you’d have to purchase it from CodeCanyon.

Jetjouster

That’s what I was talking about in the first place. I purchased the Theme Espresso from Themeforest for a client that has two businesses. I built their first site then purchased a second for their other business. I just began the second site. The first site was published by Justin Scheetz, 60 days later I purchased the EXACT SAME NAMED THEME, but now it’s by Boxy Studios and has none of the above mentioned plugins. The first version has WooCommerce, LIve Composer, and has testimonials, projects, gallery, staff and more. The back room is in purple, the new one is in black. I have not added any other plugins than what came with the theme. I’m confused here. I purchased the second theme thinking I would have exact same theme I just purchased. Can I just install a copy of the first one?

BoxyStudio

Right, the Projects, Gallery, Staff, etc. were all there because of the Live Composer plugin. That plugin is no longer included. All I can say is that you’d have to purchase the plugin separately or just use the one you downloaded the first time (if it’s still installed on that other site, just grab it from there). I hope that makes sense.

Is this theme compatible with the WooCommerce 2.2 update? Having issues with another theme and want to make sure before updating. Thanks!

BoxyStudio

Yep, 2.2 works great!

The link is : http://the-albion.gr/ the header color is white and the social icon not display in header but in footer are great. How i can change the color of social icons only in header???

Thank you

BoxyStudio

Right now unfortunately you cannot. They are all images, however I’m working on turning them into a font-based iconset so the color can be changed. This will come in a later update.

The demo content install doesn’t work for some reason.

Would it be possible for you to just take a backup of your demo site using WP Clone by Academy, and providing me with the zip file? This would save a lot of hassle.

BoxyStudio

Sure! Shoot me a ticket and I’ll send you a zip file: http://boxystudio.com/support/

Hi there, any update on adding the countdown as a block on the homepage?

Default-user

Hi there, is the update ready? I’m waiting to purchase.

BoxyStudio

I got it working in another theme, I just need to move the code to Espresso and it will be ready soon! :)

Default-user

Ok, looking forward to it.

Good day.

Is there a way to add a picture for an item in the espresso menu builder directly from the media library, instead of uploading it? For example, you create the same item in the second meny and you need to upload the item picture again, which creates 2 identical pics in the library with different names. Is there any way to avoid it?

Thank you.

BoxyStudio

Make sure you have the latest version of the Espresso theme as well as the latest version of the Espresso Add-Ons plugin. This feature was added a few versions ago: http://boxy.d.pr/1ex3d

Tried to use WooSidebar this morning to create an alternate Sidebar, but it broke the theme! Deleting the plugin restored everything of course.

Any thoughts on how to go about creating alternate Sidebars while keeping the theme intact?

BoxyStudio

Actually, that’s just because you have too many items in the main nav. The contact page is pushing the slider over: http://boxy.d.pr/1aC8Q

mydigitera

Thanks very much! All set now.

BoxyStudio

Great! :)

is it possible to have parallax sections within the visual builder ?

BoxyStudio

No, sorry about that!

I’ve just updated all the plugins that come with the theme, and I am getting a message:

The following plugins are out of date: Events Calendar PRO 3.7. All add-ons contain dependencies on The Events Calendar and will not function properly unless paired with the right version. Want to pair an older version?

However there is no update available for the plugin?

Please help. Thank you.

BoxyStudio

There is an update, however you need to enter your Event Calendar PRO license in the setting to get it. This plugin wasn’t not included with the theme, you needed a license to get it. If you have it installed then most likely you DO have a license. You’d have to check from their website: http://tri.be/shop/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

rdavenport

Hi, thanks for coming back to me. I see the problem. I didn’t install it, a WP Clone of your demo site was provided by yourselves which included the PRO version. I didn’t realise, looking at your theme description that we had to pay extra for the functionality displayed in the demo.

BoxyStudio

Ahhh right. Yeah the PRO version is a paid plugin. Basic event functionality is included with the standard version of the plugin. It’s well worth the cost though, that event plugin is fantastic.

Is this theme compatible with Modern Tribe’s Woocommerce Tickets plugin? We need to enable ticket sales via the event calendar…

BoxyStudio

It hasn’t been tested with it, so I am unsure. Sorry about that!

Could you tell me how to get the Twitter Feed Display to appear on the Blog page. I have turned it on in the Blog Page options, but it does not appear.

Thanks.

BoxyStudio

The Page Settings don’t work for the Blog page, sorry. Just for normal pages.

Hi, can you tell me if I can use a custom background image for the header? Also under events, is there an option for attendees to register for the event?

BoxyStudio

Yes you can use a custom background image. The Event plugin will allow registration if you have the Event Calendar PRO plugin as well as WooCommerce Tickets:

Hello, I am interested in purchasing this theme but I read a lot of the Event Calendar. I want the website work and look the same as your demo. Are all the plugins etc. included when I purchase? Or do you use a Calendar Pro version in your demo? I don’t want to be surprised afterwards! So when I purchase this Theme, does it work and look exactly the same as your demo? Kind regards, Marcel

BoxyStudio

You will need Event Calendar Pro to get all of the event functionality shown in the demo, which includes recurring events, week views, etc.

Unfortunately I have already bought this Theme. I am sorry to say, but the fact that in your demo not everything is included is very MISLEADING! I don’t like this way of doing business. In less than two years I have bought already 18 different Themes. But this is the first time that the demo is different from the Theme I have purchased.

BoxyStudio

My apologies for being misleading, I just wanted the demo to showcase what it would look like if you had all of the plugins installed. Gravity Forms is another premium plugin that Espresso supports but does not come packaged with.

I will try to be more clear on the product page that those plugins are not included. Sorry about that!

Hello,

I’ve read, that the RevolutionsSlider have some safety issues.

Where can I get Version 4.2?

Thank you.

BoxyStudio

Espresso comes with the latest version of Revolution Slider. If you download it again from ThemeForest you will have the newest version in the zip file.

Hi, I’m trying to give the menu header a certain color when active with this code

nav#main-nav.right > ul > li > a:active { color: #8B4B4C !important; }

but it doesn’t change a thing :( Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thx. Jens

BoxyStudio

Try it like this:

nav#main-nav > ul > li > a:active { color: #8B4B4C !important; }
Default-user

I’m afraid no… I’m putting the css styling in the custom css box under Theme Options, Miscellaneous, right? I don’t know what is overruling the instructions.

BoxyStudio

Shoot me a ticket, I’ll give you a hand with it: http://boxystudio.com/support/
