On mobile can I display the text ‘Menu’ instead of the Icon? thanks.

evergreenpa

You can add:

.toggle-nav { text-indent: 0px; width: auto; padding: 0 10px; }
.toggle-nav i { display: none; }
.toggle-nav:before { content: 'Menu';  }

to the custom css field on the theme options page to do that.

Hi, you’re using a plugin which has loaded the bootstrap css framework which breaks the themes layout, it’s coming from the registration form plugin, so you’ll either need to disable that plugin and use another one or contact the plugin developer to get them to stop loading the entire bootstrap framework into their plugin.

Hello,

i have trouble to change the article background color and the widget-content background colors of the theme. Its still white/grey after change the Styling of the theme. You can have a look here http://wb.itmd-rieder.de

I searched already in the css file but the article for example are in no class, its a ul without class?!

Can you help me here? And is it possible that you improve on the next update the color styling of the theme? The header background was also only changable in the css directly. :-)

Thanks & best regards, niodux

Hi, the theme is a light theme so it’s not really designed to have a black background, that said you can use custom css in the custom css field in the theme options to make additional changes:

.widget ul li { background: #XXXXXX; }

changing XXXXXX with the colour will change the widget list items background.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, it will appear automatically when there’s a fixture set for a future date.

Hello Simon

We have been developing a site and all going well with your excellent theme. Recently however we have got an error on the Volunteers part of our build. I think – though I can’t be sure – it was when we updated Wordpress. the warning says:

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘add_events_metaboxes’ not found or invalid function name in /data01/c0564266/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 496

The actual functionality in the CMS is fine – no problem editing or uploading content but we were wondering if you could advise why this warning appears?

In addition – on the actual Volunteers page we have the text appear ‘slide_template: default’ which we cannot get rid of in the CMS.

As said the web site is in development – if you’d like the URL’s to see please let me know.

Thanks.

evergreenpa

Hi, the error is not coming from the theme as there isn’t a add_events_metaboxes function in the theme, so I’m guessing you’re using an events plugin and it’s coming from that, you’ll need to go to the plugin’s developer for support for that as it’s not a theme issue. If everything is working fine then you may want to just disable WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php.

I also don’t know what “slide_template: default” is, that again isn’t anything to do with the theme, so I don’t know how to get rid of it.

Hi Simon

Thanks for the quick reply – you were right. The error was coming from a plug-in which we have now fixed. Thanks again for your time.

Hi. When you use the Simnor Sports Club Manager plugin and you create a Teams page, and you enter the shortcode: [players team=”Seniors”] It is meant to show: Seniors ... player namer….

It doesn’t. It’s only show the player name boxes, it’s omitting the team name.

I am sure I have set everything correctly. The Team names are in the Name fields.

Hi, I am using Gravity Forms and my buttons look like this: http://screencast.com/t/cEh02iKeA36

Is it possible to add custom CSS to make the button larger and with a different color?

evergreenpa

You’ll need to add the sn-button class to your submit button, there’s a plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/gravity-forms-add-button-class/ which allows you to add a class if there isn’t already the option.

actually Both

evergreenpa

Hi, in the custom css field in the theme options you can add:

#site-footer p { color: COLOURHERE; }

to change the copyright text.

Regarding the widgets section, I’ll need more specifics, which part of the area are you wanting to change?

The text and the backgound color in widgets sections

hi, my logo is a image with some text, but in mobile size the text is in backgrount and menu, facebook is in front, its possible in mobile show a difrent imagem in logo area?

evergreenpa

You’d need to add some custom css like this:

@media (max-width: 650px) and (min-width: 0px) {
    #site-header .logo img { display: none; }
    #site-header .logo {
        background: url(IMAGE_LOCATION_HERE) no-repeat;
        width: WIDTH_OF_IMAGE_HERE;
        height: HEIGHT_OF_IMAGE_HERE;
    }
}

You can add custom css to the Theme Options under the styling tab.

Hello !

I have two problems.

1: Widget does not show the actual season. It shows nothing, and only the menue (right side of menue), where I can choose a season. But it shall show the actual season. BTW … the widget is set correctly ;-)

2: Actual season with all fixtures will not be shown (http://soccer-boys.net/spielberichte-2013-2015/"). It shows nothing, and only the menue (right side of menue), where I can choose a season. But it shall show the actual season.

Here is the site: http://soccer-boys.net/

Hopefully You can help me !

Regards Matze

Yes. And it is correct, because the same shortcode is used here > http://soccer-boys.net/spielberichte-2013-2015/ .... and there it is working correctly. ;)

Hi there,

Just wondering what framework (if any) this has been built in?

Thanks, Rhys.

evergreenpa

Hi, no it isn’t built on a framework (presuming you mean bootstrap etc.)

Hi Simon. I’ve installed the theme on WordPress 4.1.1 and I am not getting the sidebar on the homepage. Also going to a player page doesn’t show any of any of the content and just appears as the home page. This is a bare bones install with no active widgets except for Simnor 1.6.

Can 4.1.1 be the problem? This is my first install so I’m not totally familiar with the Simnor or ES setups.

Thanks, Erik

Hi, the documentation should take you through setting up the homepage: http://evergreenpa.org/evergreen-themes/evergreen-sports/documentation/ basically you need to create a page and then add the “Home” page template. The “Setting up the home page” section of the documentation explains it all.

Regarding the player page issue, it’s probably because the plugin has introduced a new post type so you need to refresh the permalinks, to do that you just need to go to Settings -> Permalinks in your admin area and click Save Changes.

Hi there!

I bought your theme and it is very fast and clean. Nice Work!

Now i want to make some little changes with the help of a child theme.

But when I want to override your PHP files, I’m getting stucked.

In your source code I saw the includes were made like this:
require_once(get_template_directory().'/includes/admin/admin-functions.php');
I recommend this way, which would resolve my problem:
require_once(locate_template('/includes/admin/admin-functions.php'));

locate_template will set the correct path if the child theme is active.

Can you update your includes?

Thanks! Sven

How can I change the background color and text color of each section of the footer (widgets and the copyright section). Thanks

evergreenpa

The background colour would be:

#bottom-widgets { background: COLOURHERE; }

and the text would be:

#bottom-widgets { color: COLOURHERE; }

Link colour would be

#bottom-widgets a { color: COLOURHERE; }

Hi,

What would be the best and most easy way to extend the team page with more content? e.g. A team photo, the team’s fixtures and results, the team’s players and some general text?

Preferably keeping the possibility to add a team to a page with a shortcode.

Regards,

Chris

evergreenpa

Hi, I guess you’d just use a standard page and bring in the team players shortcode and fixtures shortcode to that page.

Hi, Whats the best way to merge the 3 footer widgets into 1? I want to display a row of sponsors logos across the bottom the the widgets are fixed width so its not really working. I want one widget to go across the entire width of the page. Thanks, Sandeep

evergreenpa

Hi, if you add this

#bottom-widgets aside { float: none!important; width: auto!important; }

to the custom css field in the theme options then it should stretch the full width.

hey there,

I have created Fixtures/Seasons/Teams and Players.

Now trying to tie it all together, with a teams page such as: http://evergreenpa.org/themes/evergreen-sports/team/

When I use the following Shortcode. [players]

I see a blank page with a filter on the right. I can select a team and display profiles.

If I try to display a specific team like: [players team=”sap-u11-white”]

The following error is displayed: ERROR: The season specified cannot be found

evergreenpa

Hi, it looks like you’re using the slug of the team rather than the team name.

Cheers
