After running this theme, i must say:

i miss the open graph implementation!

Forget about the sharing option, it is worthless without the meta tags for this. :-(

Hi Co-ro,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

Open graph data is typically plugin territory. The reason for this is if you ever want to switch themes, you’ll want your open graph data to stay intact. Data like this should never be tied to themes, just like analytics or custom post types:

http://wptavern.com/why-you-should-never-add-analytics-code-to-your-wordpress-theme

The good news is ExtraNews works great with many (free) open graph plugins. Here’s one I would suggest you use to add this to your site:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-open-graph/

The good part about using this is that it will work the same no matter what theme youre usin, in case you decide to switch themes in the future.

If you need any additional assistance, please jump on the support forum and I’d be happy to help! Thanks!

Hi,

I couldnt find the “latest news” page template in the package. Although the ajax works properly in the homepage, I couldnt manage to open “latest news” as a separate page. Could you help me with sending me the php page template for “latest news”. http://blog.galatabusinessangels.com.

Thank you for your help

Hi Batuhandalci,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

Have you checked out the documentation included with the theme? It will take you step-by-step on how to set up your blog and the entire theme like the demo. To set up a “latest news” page, you can create a new page, give it a title of “Latest News” and save it. Then under Settings > Reading set it as your “posts page”.

Hi…This is already a fantastic theme with a lot of great features….however, I was wondering if perhaps you might consider the option to including a “User Rating” feature to help supplement the current Rating System for this theme in a future update.

Your rating system is already great, but including an option to display a “user rating” can really help engage more visitors reading review posts on the site….similar to some other popular news/review themes currently available.

Thanks!

Hi WPDragon,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll be sure to add that to the feature requests for the next time we do an update.

In the mean time, you could always try extending that functionality via a plugin. There are a few free plugins and a premium one that look pretty good:

Hi Andre, Thanks for providing some of those plugin suggestions above to extend functionality with incorporating a “User Rating”.....of course though, i’m hoping you’re still planning to add a ‘User rating’ feature to your theme in the next update…its just so much better, and efficient when it already comes built-in as a feature with this awesome theme. lol :)

Thanks!

Thanks WPDragon, I’ll definitely consider this in a future update! :)

Cheers,

Andre

I am now using the SocialFans app for the theme but there appears to be issues with displaying Facebook counts – is it possible we can get a fix for this. I understand this is not directly supported by you but is a part of the theme package and I would really like to get this resolved.

Hi Andre, firstly I would like to thank you for supplying such a great theme! It looks great on my blog with only 3 hours of configuring settings!

One question I have that I can’t seem to find an answer to on the forum is how to send posts to different sections of the website?

I run a blog with three different sections, each of which have a dedicated page on the website however I can only configure a default page in Settings>Reading to which I can send posts. I would like to be able to post reviews to the ‘reviews’ section of the site and features to the ‘features’ section of the site. Please could you get back to me regarding how I can do this.

Thanks again for your work,

Connor

Hi Connor,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

I’m not sure I completely understand your question. Are you wondering about post categories? Any posts (no matter what category) can have reviews. However, you can group all of your review posts into a review category. Once you assign a review category to your posts, WordPress automatically creates specific pages for each category. You can add those pages to your menu by following the instructions here:

http://support.themewich.com/kb/frequently-asked-questions/how-do-i-add-a-categoryskillfilter-page-to-my-site

To make a post featured, you can mark it as “sticky” so it will show up in the homepage grid or slideshow:

Thank you for the quick reply!

You have answered my question thank you very much! I was unaware that after adding a category WordPress automatically creates specific pages for each category, I added them in manually.

Thanks again for your amazing theme and for explaining my issue very well,

Connor

I think there is a problem with the menu of pages in Mobile. Don’t work. In the console have a error Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘top’ of undefined.

Line 32: var offset = $( $( this ).attr( ‘href’ ) ).offset().top;

in custom.js

Edit: I think that only happens when no menu is selected

Hi Gublin,

What version of the theme are you running? Can you confirm you’re running version 1.5.3? If not could you update the theme? It may be an issue if you’re running an older version of the theme.

Hi Andre,

I bought your theme 2 days ago and now I’ve got a problem, so I hope you can help me… (I’m sorry for my bad english and WP skills)

It’s a fantastic theme, but i need help with “filter of articles” (I hope you’ll understand me) I’ve got 3 pages of nav menu. 1st Home (Grid) 2nd XXX (Slider) 3rd AAA

.. and I need LATEST POST only on the “Home”, on the “XXX” I need other another category… Actually I need for HOME .. MIX informations + latest news but for XXX i need informations of certain category. (Slider = certain category, latest news -> certain category, but older articles)

Can you help me please? I hope it’s easy and I’m just stupid..

+ I saw your support about page translate, I installed Loca Translate, then set my language and nothing.. no searched words (but it isn’t a big problem…)

Thanks..

Hi Redzkii,

I’m not sure I understand what you’re trying to do. Do you have a live version link to your site so I can picture what you’re talking about? It sounds like you want to create category pages. Category pages are automatically created by WordPress, so you only need to add them to your menu under Apperance > Menus. More information here:

Hello Andre,

thanks for the theme. Its perfect.

I have just one question – I need the theme or at least the visible front end words (like “views” or “popular” or “recent” etc.) to be in different language – currently it is in English. Is there a way for me to translate just the front end without hardcoding it – I mean replacing the words directly in the PHP files and have to do it again on the next update, which is not exactly the most convenient way :)

Thanks in advance. Regards

Hi Stef_80,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

Yep! The theme is translation-ready, meaning you can translate the theme using the .po/.mo files included with the theme. More information on how to do that here:
