Hey bud,
With the ever increasing prices in this world and the fact that all themes here have gone up by $10-$15 dollars in the past 6-12 months, have you ever considered selling these items yourself? Or even maybe offering a bundle deal for your latest 3 themes at an attractive $100 or maybe less.
From my point of view and lack of early sales on this theme (and it’s not because of the theme, the theme is amazing) users are more wary of buying at $50 and will wait until lots or early comments are added and addressed before making a decision to buy. (this never used to happen).
I know from talking to you about previous themes how much time and effort and care and attention you put into these projects and quite frankly in a commercial world $50 is an insult to the time you have taken to build it, however I hate to see such an amazing well thought out theme not sell out in droves on the first day, hence why I wondered whether you would consider doing a bundle deal, I would buy all 3 of your last themes for $100 right now and I wonder if the take up for such an idea wouldn’t be a good thing?
No doubt this post will getted blocked now and maybe I should email you instead but hey we are all entitled to our freedom of speech aren’t we?
Good luck bud and congrats to producing yet another amazing project you should be proud of this even more so than ‘aware’ and quite frankly that was one hell of an awesome theme.
Kindest Regards as always Rich
Hi Rich!
You’ve got to be one of my biggest fans! You ROCK ! I haven’t considered selling any myself – Themeforest does a nice job getting exposure for you. It’s tough out there by yourself! All I can do is make the best quality products and keep improving them.
As far as pricing, as you know, I have no control over it. I’m really not sure how much $50 vs $45 affects the sales? Does a difference in $5 really make people wait? Hard to say.
Anyway, thanks again Rich, I appreciate it.
Andre
haha yeah im a huge fan I think your last 3 themes have been amazing
I think the difference from $35 to $45-50 is a big one bud, i see the sales on here have dropped and although I agree it does a good marketing job and it’s a good medium it doesn’t hold my attention like it used to, I personally don’t want to keep putting $50 – $100 on the deposit and purchase themes im disapointed in, wheras $35 (in UK is £24) is’t so bad.
That’s why I wondered if a bundle deal wouldn’t be a great idea – do they even do such a thing…
Anyways enough of that, hope this one sells like the iPhone 5 for you, it’s great
Long live ‘Aware’ though haha
Rich
Does it have schema rich snippets?
Hi Ridgecity,
Great question. The theme doesn’t have any schema or microdata functionality currently, this is currently in process and will be included in the next update.
Thanks! Andre
Any chance you could include a mini contact form for the footer bud, if not let us know which one you used in aware and how you styled it?
R
Hi Rich,
The contact form is just a widget, so you can put it anywhere – sidebar or footer. Looks just the same as in Aware in the footer.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Andre
Brill thanks, don’t suppose you could knock up a demo page from the home with a background image in could you so I can see what it looks like?
Also maybe pop the mini contact form in the footer.
Loading time seems a little slow at the mo was fine earlier, is your host ok? Don’t think its my end as I have fibre running at 70mb per second
I will be purchasing over the weekend just need to sort out a few things first…
Hi Rich,
Here are some screenshots to give you a better idea with a background image: http://cl.ly/image/3O2q0X2m2W44It’s just “grey” in that area, but you can put any image you like in there.
Also, here’s the contact form in the footer:
http://cl.ly/image/1r3j470m2R1yLet me know if that helps!
Andre
Perfect thanks mate
Oh yeah sorry forgot to ask you, now I know facebook is a horrible subject but where you planning on integrating it anytime soon on this theme? I know it looks terrible as a plugin but really useful to see the followers and have a FB comments section….
No worries if not
EDIT – ignore that I have just seen it on an inner page – should pay more attention LOL sorry
Hi Rich,
Yep! There’s a facebook like box integrated. The theme uses just regular wordpress comments, although integrating facebook comments should be too tough (facebook just provides a tiny bit of code you need to add).
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Andre
Nice Theme.
A couple of questions.
1. I want to increase the font size in the blog post content and titles while having the flexibility to keep the font size on the sidebar the same. I noticed that fonts, font styles can be changed but not font sizes. Did I miss something? Can font sizes be changed in Admin to accomodate both post content, title and sidebar? If not, how do you recommend making the changes I would like to make be achieved?
2. Is it in the plans to offer a traditional blog post option for the blog layouts in the future?
Thanks.
Hi Pgsimas,
Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.
1. The font sizes can be changed, just not with the dropdowns. You can easily change font sizes with a tiny bit of custom css in the custom css box. I’d be happy to help you change any font sizes if you need help identifying them.
2. Like a one-column on the index pages? What do you mean by “traditional”? I’m interested in hearing more!
Andre
Thanks for your response to the first question. Easy enough.
In regard to the second question, yes a 1 column. I think this would be a nice option for bloggers. This is the option I would definitely go with.
Thanks.
Hi pgsimas,
Good to know. I’ll see what I can do about putting that option in the next update.
Thanks again for the suggestion,
Andre
It would be nice to know if this is definitely on the roadmap as an option in the future. I think I will purchase
- prior -if I knew you were going to implement the option in the near future. At $50…I just need to be a little more cautious. Well done! Thanks.Hi pgsimas,
Good to know. It’s on the roadmap. Thanks again for the suggestion.
Andre
God every time I look at this theme I get goosebumps, it’s brilliant in every way, so clever and well thought out, best magazine style theme out there now by a country mile… I thought Gonzo was amazing but this is something else…
I need to stop looking at it now and have a cup of tea haha
Rich
Haha, nice
Enjoy the tea!
Andre
I did thanks, and now I’m back looking at it again on my phone lol I’m addicted haha
Ok and one other thing for you to consider for the next update and I promise i’ll leave you alone (until I buy it LOL )
At work I have been playing with php, jquery and Auto Suggest for a search function on our Intranet, would you be able to look into/consider adding a few things to your search function like this?
So in essence and in an ideal world this is what I would love to see…
1) Search Bar needs to be a bit longer 2) Search icon that you can press rather than just hitting return (so both) 3) A cancel button in the search field – (like Apple’s does on there homepage) 4) Tooltips when on focus to tell the user info 5) When you start typing an auto suggest dropdown that pulls from the MySQL DB the metadata of (keywords or Description or both)
I have this working statically If you want to see a demo.
Maybe there is a plugin that already does this for WP or maybe I could help develop it, I just need to know which page in the files to append if that’s the case….
Your thoughts on this would be appreciated
Rich
Great suggestions. I’ll definitely consider those for the next update. There may be a plugin that does this already, but it would be great to bake it right into the theme.
Thanks again, I appreciate it Rich,
Andre
This would be truly amazing hope you can do this, I’m happy to help if you need me too
I just have one quick question. Is it possible to make the 2 column display mode on the homepage one column.
Either as an option or tweaking the code a little??
Thanks
Hi Asch,
Yep! There’s no option for that (yet), although with some small tweaks you could accomplish that. I’ll see what I can do about including this as an option in the next update.
Andre
Awesome. Thanks for letting me know.
I’ll let you know how I get on after I buy the theme.
Love it! & Bookmarked.
@ richyp147 Though I do believe even a $5 increase effects sales (from experience in marketing) Exposure is a great deal for designers like these. It would be incredibly tough to go out on their own.
Additionally, there are other sites that have themes with less than half the coding quality, programming skills, options and features that Themeforest provides and their pricing is ridiculous for what you get. As well as incredibly less service and no updates to speak of.
This theme Rocks!
Totally agree. Although there are a few bad themes on here, I think the quality on Themeforest has come a long way.
Thanks for the comments g7!
Andre
Thanks. Solved
I’ll post next questions on the link forum.
Excellent! I’ll watch for your question on the forum.
Andre
Two things: 1) How do I change the body-font (in posts and pages) to Helvetica (regular) size 14? 2) Can you please include the .PSD file of the logo? I can’t make a good looking logo on my own unfortunately.
Hi Teentasic,
Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
I’ll see what I can do about the logo – didn’t think to include it.
As for the body font, I’d be glad to help, however, I ask that all questions be asked on the Support Forum. Feel free to start a new thread over there and I’d be happy to help! Thanks!

Andre
@2winFactor I signed up for the support forum and put in my purchase code correctly, but I get the message: “You don’t have permission to view this category.”
I want to know how to change font size to 14 in posts.
Hi Tenncastic,
So sorry about that – I forgot to activate that forum section on the forum. Please forgive me!
Just navigate to Theme Options > Customize and enter this in the custom css box:
p, ul { font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px; }The forums should be fixed now, but let me know if it’s still not working for you.
Andre
I’ve actually been waiting for a few months now for a theme like this – inspired by The Verge, but with a few unique components so that it does not look like a clone. Great typographical choices. Looking forward to putting it to use!
Awesome! Thanks jpmcgrath! Any questions or bumps in the road, feel free to jump on the Support Forum.

@g7studios I do agree to most of that mate and your right there are a couple of theme site out there that sell real shoddy work, but I also stand in what I said earlier since the price increases and the terrible condition if the economy I do feel sales have dropped significantly
There is a dozen or so amazing theme makers in theme forest Andre is one of those (Orman another) but some of them although coded brilliantly don’t support very well either, at the end of the day without decent support a theme isn’t worth even $50
Envato if your listening as much as I hate eBay maybe you should have a seller feedback section to capture this better
Anyways just my 2penith
And your right this theme rocks infact it more than rocks it’s flipping awesome man (trying to sound American lol)
Rich
Very American sounding. Bloody spot on.
Andre
Haha is that what we British sound like? Me old fella
Taking most of my hints from here:
http://www.effingpot.com/slang.shtmlI better study up!
Andre
Funny but we do use a lit of these words
Outstanding work.
Is it possible to turn each review ‘element’ (sound, gameplay, etc) into a clickable link?
Many thanks.
Hi Drakeo,
Sure, you’d need to make some modifications to the theme though. Just wrap those in an anchor tag. Where would they link to?
Andre
Thanks for the response.
Our reviews are comprised of 5 sub-elements (final review equates average of the 5 sub-elements).
Clicking on the sub-element would take them to another internal page outlining that specific sub-element (which may be a more in depth review).
Example would be:
We review a music festival based on the lineup, giving each performance a rating. The final festival review based on the average rating of each performer. However, if the user clicks on one of the performer ratings in the review chart (sub-element) they would be taken to that more specific review.
That isn’t what we’re doing, just an easier example
Thanks
Hi Drakeo,
You’d need to make some modifications to the theme to get that to work. Those types of modifications would go beyond the scope of support for the theme. I’d be happy to help you identify the areas in the theme where you’d need to add those things, but you’d need to seek the help of a developer for an alteration such as that.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Andre
Hi, watching your sales grow today! This is exactly the type of theme I was looking for.
Google Adsense:
Will it be possible to just plug in the Adsense code and have it respond to the design? Will it just disappear off the page or mess it up? I know someone asked a similar question but still wasn’t entirely sure…
Thanks
Hi RM,
Thanks! Glad you like it
As far as adsense with a responsive layout, I’ve thought that through in the design. The sidebar never goes any slimmer than 227px wide, meaning that you can place a multitude of ad sizes there and they will fit in any layout without having to be resized (skyscraper, wide skyscraper, small rectangle):
http://support.google.com/adsense/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=185666&topic=29561&ctx=topicHowever, you can have them respond with the site (in the case of the 480×60 ad in the top). Here’s a nifty little tutorial:

Andre
Hi Andre
Great theme. Just seen this theme and it’s really good. I do have some questions – pre-sale.
1. I know this is a magazine style theme, but is there anyway to have a portfolio style page? If so, i’m looking for one that can host videos, with a title above/below, that would pop up in a lightbox when clicked. Could that work?
2. Is the grid style homepage images made up of categories with you choosing being able to choose which to have rotating from the category?
3. Can the latest post on the grid style home page be duplicated more than once, but for different category sets? So using one for Technology, then having mobiles, games etc…in the pull down, and then another for events, then having the pull down show different event categories?
3b. If the above option is possible…can you have three latest post images/boxes in a row in one line, then two in the row below. Almost creating a similar effect as the grid, but with wording below of course. So it’s staggered and not exact?
4. can you have multiple sidebars for different pages? ANd the same for blogs?
5. Do you have to have the menu bar at the top?
6. can you have any colour background or image?
7. Is there anyway to make the menu bar have an active colour? I see the hover, but you can’t tell what page you’re on.
Sorry for all the questions, but I’m looking for a potential new theme and what to make sure it can do what i need and sometimes it’s hard to tell until you buy it and I want to be sure first.
thanks JBecks
Hi JBecks,
Thanks for your interest! I’d be glad to answer any questions you may have.
1) There’s nothing like that “out of the box”, however, you could create that sort of thing on a page or post using shortcodes. Here’s an example of a gallery on a page, for instance:
http://bit.ly/SUqqMCOtherwise you could do something like this page:
http://bit.ly/NWdfhjWith lightbox popups to videos. It all depends on what you want to accomplish.
2. The Grid is made up of posts that you mark as “sticky”, so you can pick and choose any that you want to feature, from any category. If you have more sticky posts than grid spaces, the additional sticky posts automatically are displayed by date in the “latest posts” section below, so you never have to worry about making posts “unsticky” for fear they’ll disappear.
3) You mean using the homepage template for each category? Yep, you’d just need to make a copy of the homepage template, rename it, and add one change to the wordpress loop for just that category. Then in the ajax menu below, you’d need to change the dropdown menu to display only categories of your choice. It would involve some slight modifications to the theme, but nothing really drastic.
3b) That may be a little bit more complex to accomplish. You’d need to create a custom function to make the post widths change after the first three. That would be something that you’d need to consult the help of a developer for.
4) The theme comes with different sidebars for a page, post, blog index, ect, but not for each individual post or page. You can accomplish that by making a different page/post template and changing the sidebar name in the template and in functions.php.
5) Nope, you can check that off as an option in the Theme Options panel.
6) Sure, although you’d want to keep it light as to not make the text unreadable. The next update will have an option for a “boxed” layout, so if that’s what you’re looking for it should be an option soon.
7) Yep, you’d just need to add a small bit of custom css to the custom css box in Theme Options > Customize. I’d be happy to give you that code if you want that type of effect.
Let me know if you have any other questions, or need further clarification,
Andre
Hi Andre
Thanks for the full responses. Appreciate it as I’ve bought themes in the past that look like they’ll work then don’t. I do have a couple of responses/clarifying bits.
For Q1. is there anyway to create a sortable portfolio effect using videos in a portfolio style by sort by category? And could the page be paginated in any way? (I don’t want a really long page of things, maybe like 20 vids per page), I really really like your theme, especially the grid style effect on the homepage, so in a way, I’m guess trying to make sure it can do all the elements of my current theme before I make the switch.
For Q3. So to confirm, I can literally have the latest post section on homepage as you have it, but then have another row underneath it that’s is exactly the same but with a different name (instead of latest posts and a different set of pull down categories?
For Q4. Would a plugin called ‘custom sidebars’ work with your theme? For Q7 – thanks, I will need that type of obvious navigation option. Could I have it the same as hover colour or even make it a different one?
Additional Qs – (silly one) can the colour if the buttons on the homepage (in aqua) be different from menu hover or does it all change to same?
- can you turn/click off the options for ratings,
I’ve sent you a message through you’d profile page so you can see what I mean about the video portfolio and the styling. Hope you don’t mind ???? Thanks again
JBecks
Hi JBecks,
1) Not out of the box. You’d need to make some extensive additions to the theme to add this functionality. This type of functionality may come in the future depending on demand.
3) Oh, you’re saying two “grids” on one page? Still kind of confused at this one. You may be able to add two grids to one page, but you’d need to alter the loops for each one. That would be a little more complicated.
4) Yep! Tested it and it works great with the theme. That would be a good solution.
5) Yep, the buttons and the “Highlight Color” can be different. Just select different colors in your Theme Options panel.
6) Yep, each post has an option to either include a review or not.
I’ll have to check my email and get back to you regarding the email question, but let me know if you have any other questions.
Andre
Hey Andre
Thanks for confirming and I think I may have confused you with Q3.
I don’t mean having two grids on one page, that would be overkill. lol. I mean the section you have thats underneath it -the latest post row. As you have just one row of latest posts showing, I mean is it possible to have two latest post rows – one under the other. One could be called latest posts and the other, events for example. Except the second could be posts from completely different categories for example. Hope that makes sense.
Think we missed one – can I have multiple blogs – say for one that pulls one category like event and another that pulls the category volunteering for example.
I actually think that’s it…lol
Did you see what I mean from my email? I’m looking for a plugin that does video sortable portfolio…
JBecks
Hi JBecks’,
Yep, that would be possible, however, that would be a little more complex alteration that would exceed the scope of the theme support. You’d need to seek the help of a developer to add those additional rows to the theme.
For the multiple blogs – the easiest thing to do is to just separate those into different categories and just create pages for those categories. You can create pages with only specific categories (see the demo for an example).
Still haven’t had a chance to check into the email. I should be able to get you an answer before the end of the weekend.
Andre
Hi Andre
Ahh. That’s a shame about the second row. So basically as you see the homepage is how it is – no additional rows or sections.
I’ll have a good think now. Thanks so much for answering all of my many questions! That alone is a good reason as you’ve been helpful, but I’ll keep looking at the demo
JBecks
Sounds good, any other questions, just let me know!
Andre
Thanks Andre
just sent you a direct message.
JBecks
Hello Andre,
Just bought the theme and love it. It would be 100% perfect for many news / entertainment websites if there is an events section (similar to the Wisdom Of Life theme). It’s a great theme. Well done.
Hi Amohamed,
So glad you like it!
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to check out the Wisdom of Life theme and see if that’s something to include in a future update.
Cheers, Andre
this is good, but I would like to request a “Related Post” section at the end of Single Post (either the thumbsize similar to “Previous Story” and “Next Story” or similar to those Social Sharing icons size). In my opinion, related post is more important and practical than the previous/next story section.
Good to know. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll see what I can do about including this feature in a future update.
Thanks again,
Andre
Thanks and I can’t wait and go ahead to buy it while waiting for your next update
Ha, good to know! Be sure that you use a child theme if you want to make any changes to the theme files, so you can update later.
Andre
I’m thinking about buying your theme, it looks fantastic!
I just have a few questions.
I would like to have a more traditional blog layout with your theme, one column with bigger images instead of two. I was also wondering if the featured posts section is able to work more like this right out of the box?
http://lambertgroupproductions.com/canyon/allinonewp/playlistBanner.phpHi Julius,
Thanks!
It’s not possible at the moment, but a one-column layout will be coming in one of the next updates. As far as that Banner Rotator, the theme doesn’t have anything like that out of the box. You’d need to integrate something like that yourself if you wanted to get that look. Typically, what you see in the demo is what’s possible with the theme.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Andre
