Really nice theme and easy to customize! One question, I am now as administrator giving stars and points to posts, is it possible with some adjustments that visitors do this? Like a review site?

I purchase this theme last year. I have two widgets (ads) on the right in the header and on the left the logo. In all browsers it works perfect but not in Chrome. Your demo page doesn’t have this problem. Do you have a suggestion what it could be? The website is www.campusinbeeld.nl/wp

I just took a look and it looks like your theme isn’t installed correctly. Be sure you’re unzipping the downloaded file from Themeforest FIRST to your computer, then install using the install file inside. Inside you should see a zip file called “extranews.zip”. In your wordpress admin panel, navigate to Appearance > Themes. Then click the “Install Themes” tab at the top, then click upload. Find the file “extranews.zip” within the extracted Themeforest download. Can you verify that you are installing the theme this way?

I’ve just edited default.po file, translated some words to turkish and uploaded it to our server but nothing has changed. For example read more button and “more headlines” link… Is there anything else to do ?

Have you changed the .po and .mo files to match your language? You’ll need to change the name from default to your language (tr-TR.po and tr-TR.mo) in order to use those translations. Here’s a good tutorial on how to translate:

Btw, CodeStyling Localization plugin gives the following error :
“Error: The actual loaded translation content does not match the textdomain: framework Expect, that any text you translate will not occure as long as the textdomain is mismatching! This is a coding issue at the source files you try to translate, please contact the original Author and explain this mismatch.”
My WP’s default language is turkish and I’ve the latest version of the template.

Codestyling localization is throwing that error because you’ve already translated and saved your default.po file (so the translated content does not match). As noted in my other comment – you need to rename those files after you translated. It’s best to either manually translate (like you did with .poedit) or use codestyling localization. If you do both, you’ll likely get errors like this. In order to use codestyling localization you’ll need to reload the original default.po/default.mo files. Otherwise, I would just rename the files as noted in my other comment and you’re good to go.

Hi there! I would like to add products suggestions by textwise to my posts. However if I add any products to a post, if you look on the homepage, right under the post you will see the products selected and it does not look esthetic at all. Is there a way I can make the product suggestion disappear from the homepage?

And I have a second question. For some reason, all the new posts that I make do not end up on the homepage (even though we have selected the “Latest posts” to be displayed on the homepage). We have only the old posts and that is it. How can I fix this?

I’m not sure exactly what you mean could you please explain your issue a little more? When you make a post “sticky” it will display on the homepage, but not below (so it doesn’t appear twice). Is that what you’re referring to?

It is posible to show on homepage grid (instead of blog posts, the pages)
And it is posible to have two or three pages that display a diferents homepage grid (i mean that a i have a big site)
It posible for atach a post to for ejemplo homepage grid 1 and a different post to a homepage grid 2
It is posible to use diferents sidebars

Do you mean show pages instead of blog posts in the grid? It’s possible, however, you’d need to make a modification to the theme. However, you won’t be able to select which pages you want to display there because there’s no “sticky” option for pages. This may go beyond the scope of support for the theme, but I’d be happy to point you in the right direction.
It’s possible to have two or three different pages that display the grid- but this would involve some modification. You’d need to duplicated the homepage template and change the loop (for instance to get posts from a specific category or tag).
For more specific sidebars, I recommend the Custom Sidebars Plugin

Hello, I bought this theme a few months ago and none problem, but now with the latest updates of wordpress Im obtaining many errors with the galleries. Whe create the gallery for a post, the image is clicked but appears this message:
“image cannot be loaded. make sure the path is correct and image exist”

I’ve tried both (file and attachment), but none worked. I’ve made too many galleries earlyer and all of them worked, but I repeat, the latest updates of wordpress cause this error.

Partially solved the problem. When I changed que galleries from 4 to 3 columns the images appear without problems. But, I don’t know why when I use 4 columns, prettyphoto can’t show the images.
I figured out the issue. It’s a bug in the latest version of WordPress (3.5.1):
http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/23298The issues is that WordPress doesn’t remember that you selected “media file” when you first add a gallery. You need to edit the gallery again to select the “media file” in the “link to” area. That appears to be causing issues on galleries since it’s present with the default Twenty-Twelve theme active, without any plugins, and it’s a reported WordPress issue.

Hello, I am interested in this theme, but I have one question: Is it possible for the user to give a rating in their posts / comments? (In addition to the ratings given by the writer) From the live demo, it looks like the theme does not support this feature but i wanted to double check. thanks, Jose

Yep, both Youtube and Vimeo videos are supported with the theme. However, user reviews are currently not a feature of ExtraNews. However, you may be able to extend that functionality with a plugin.

Yep, you can change “More Headlines” to “More Videos”. There are .po/.mo files included with the theme so you can change any text you want on your site. Otherwise, you can just change it directly in the template as well.
