Common WordPress Installation Issues

Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get theme support?

Please open a ticket at our support site and we’ll get back to you asap –

How do I fix the Facebook like button iframe getting cut off bug?

Edit style.css:

1. Remove line 271

 .share-btns iframe { display: inline;float: none;max-width: 100%;margin: 0; }

2. Remove overflow: hidden; on line 74 so it reads:

#post { float: left; width: 660px; -moz-box-sizing: border-box; -webkit-box-sizing: border-box; box-sizing: border-box; }

Changing that should help with the facebook iFrame. I don’t think it would cause any real issues anywhere else.

How can I add new social profiles for the header?

Method 1 – Edit current array

- Open functions/social.php and add your new profiles to the array
- Open images/social and put your new social icon in here where the name of the image.php matches the new social profile – example instagram.png.

Method 2 – View A Child Theme

- Copy the functions in functions/social.php and functions/social-output.php into your child theme and edit accordingly – you should know how to do this if you are customizing your own theme ;)
