You mentioned that there is an option for ‘Excerpts’ I’m not finding it.
I added a filter : function custom_excerpt_length( $length ) { return 20; } add_filter( ‘excerpt_length’, ‘custom_excerpt_length’, 999 );
to the functions.php to test and it appears its not built into the loop? I don’t want to mess with your loop. Is there an easier way to accomplish this than using the ‘more’ tag?
I’m not sure what you’re trying to achieve. Do you want to limit length of the built-in excerpt field from the content editor?
I want the excerpts to be automatic without using the “more” tag.
And you don’t want to use the Excerpt field, correct?
that would be the most convenient. but I guess i could just cut and paste to the excerpt.
you wouldn’t be able to include a pic in the post if you used the excerpt field, correct? I would like to put a thumb nail there.
You can us a featured image. If these solutions are not good for you, try to use some plugin for that.
