Hi. This theme is awesome. I am a wordpress newbie. If I purchase and upload will it look just like the demo?
After you upload and activate the theme, you need to import the demo xml file as well (instructions in documentation).

in the theme-package.zip you should see a folder named documentation. Inside there you can find the docs.

Hello, I am thinking about buying this template. One short question up front: Is it possible to have the Blog as “Home”/First page instead of the slideshow.

Hi – Yes, the blog is the front page by default (WordPress standard).
There doesn’t appear to be any way to manage the slider on the home page. I want to remove some images from it and update it from time to time.. is there an easy interface to do this?

Firstly great theme.
Just one question. On the portfolio page, there is a filter for the categories added within wordpress. It currently displays the categories automatically in alphabetical order. Is there any way to display those categories in a specific order or based on the order the categories were created?

One more question, is it possible to set a default blog post style? So if I want it to default to “Images”, is that doable? Or do I have to remember to do that every time?
Go to Settings -> Writing in your WordPress dashboard. From there you can set the default post format.

I previously asked how to change the category filter order for the portfolio however i have tried different parameters without success. Is there something i’m doing wrong? i have tried using “slug, ID, and even term group”. Please help.

Hi there! Have you tried putting numbers on the category names? That’s how most people do it to re-order them as they want. Ex:
01. Portfolio 02. Artwork 03. Photography
That’s the absolute easiest way, and that way you won’t need to change anything to get the right order.

Hello. I really like your work and am pretty close to purchasing this theme. I’m still a little new to WP and I have a couple of questions (and sorry if they have already been answered here).
1) Is it possible to customize the background/wallpaper? The background patterns from the Light/Grey/Dark presets you have are fine, but I may want to replace the current patterns with my own photo or artwork eventually. I’ve seen a few other themes give you that option, but wasn’t sure if it was possible here.
2) What is the max number of photos you can have on your homepage. Your demo has 6 in rotation, but say I wanted to put 10-15…?
3) Is it possible for thumbnails in the “Work” page to link to another gallery page or does clicking on a thumbnail only trigger the lightbox?

1) We give you 3 options for background. 1 – you can set a repeating background pattern for the body of your page (appears on all pages). 2 – you can set a fixed-position full-size image for all pages or 3 – you can set a fixed-position full-size image as background for separate pages or posts.
2) There isn’t really an upper limit, but adding too many may result in slow loading times, and perhaps unforseen issues on tablets/phones with too heavy loads.
3) You have an in-built option to enable lightbox. If this isn’t enabled, it will always link to the single page.

Before buying it…
1. Is this theme up-to-date and free from bugs? 2. Is it possible to import a Demo XML so that all content and images/photos are automatically configured? 3. Do you offer a good support or just hide from users after buying it? 4. Will I have free updated? 5. Is it possible to use a Portuguese version?

Can videos be used on the frontpage slider?
Nope, not without manual customization.
I have no problem with freelance customization and have several developers I like to use. Do you feel this is something that would break the theme, or is it doable?
If it’s one of the flexslider frontpages (Frontpage Wide or Frontpage Boxed), then it should be easy as flexslider has built in video support with some edits I believe.
As for the Homepage with the big image, that is a script called Supersized which I think would be a pain to get to work with videos.
All sliders are currently using the media gallery, so either it would have to be replaced with manual markups in each template, or perhaps it’s possibly to do some trick and using videos in the media uploader.

Love the theme. Wanted to ask, how can I open up a portfolio page directly to a specific category, rather than the “All” category? Let me know, trying to figure out it out and can’t seem to find it. Was able to comment out the “All” button easily but want it to open to a category directly. Easiest is if there is a URL that works for the category filter, but if not then how to change that code.

You can either create a single category page using the Portfolio page template – this will still allow the animation filtering (and select it to only show items from the specific category), or you can link to to the standard category page directly via the menu. As long as you disable isotope filtering in Theme Modules > Portfolio, each separate category should be given a linkable page.

I’ve tried all those things to no avail. There’s no option to Disable Isotope Filtering in Theme Modules > Portfolio, and there’s no option on the Page I created using the Portfolio template to select a specific category. The page is: http://dualgroupe.com/our-portfolio/ What should the URL be?

On that page you have there, did you assign a specific widget area perhaps? (in the right sidebar, when editing the post) Make sure it has a widget area that has at least one widget in it.

i have the template as fullscreen gallery. When I put the code into the “Caption section of the images, it works then when i hit update it gets removed!

Does this unsorted page of videos, quotes and picture have a name? or is it just a blog in a special design?

It’s a blog design which is more of a “blog wall”. We have no theme currently with such a blog wall. I don’t think there are plugins which can transform it into such a thing just like that, but it needs to be within the theme itself.
