Hello there First of all, I love this template Just what I was looking for Just one question: on my single Portfolio pages, the image gallery stands to low on the page. Where can I configure that I can “pull” it up a bit? Thanks so much and keep up the great work
Thanks! Happy to hear you like it!
For your question, please go to “Style Customizer > Others” then try using below CSS into the Custom CSS box:
Just adjust the margin value here for reducing the space.
Thanks so much Once again, wonderful template! Clean, easy to navigate, lovely to look at!
By the way, just another question: my “back to top” button doesn’t work :/ How can I fix this?
Please try updating the theme to version 1.2.1. It should work in this latest version.
Perfect!! Worked like a charm Thanks once again
Hi dear! My compliments, the theme looks really pro and I would purchase it. But I would have some clarification about SHOP before:
1) in the SHOP main page, when I click on “Add to cart” buttons, the loading animation appears but nothing happens. To add a product I must go into its single page;
2) also in checkout section, in “Your order” part (where you can select the payment method) it appears the loading animation but nothing happens;
They look as Woocommerce integration bugs. I’ve tried also with other browsers and there’s the same issue. Could these problems be solved?
3) The last thing: the SHOP section is completely integrated with the multilanguage WPML plugin?
Sorry for so many questions, but these are really important things that can make me consider to purchase the theme.
Meanwhile, many thanks!
Thanks for your interest!
For 1 and 2: The cause is from another plugin I am using on my server, not from the theme itself. I did configure that plugin a bit and the shop and checkout pages should be working now. Please check it again. Thanks for letting me know about the issue!
For 3: Yes, the theme uses standard practices of WordPress so there should not have any problem with that. But you would also need to use this additional plugin to make WPML fully works with WooCommerce: http://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/ . The plugin is created by WPML team. As I have tried, it works pretty well.
Great piece of work you have done. Welldone
a question , where can i edit the copyright details? Is it anywhere else in the admin rather than the css file?
Hello great theme u have created.
I have installed the theme , except the contact form does seem to be missing? Can you please help
Also kindly guide to where i can append the copyright details on the footer.
Look forward to your reply.
1. If you already finished the installation steps from the documentation, you can find the contact form in “Contact > Contact Forms” on your admin panel. Also make sure that the Contact Form 7 plugin is installed and activated.
2. You can edit the copyright text in “Theme Options > Footer” section.
Hi, I cannot get the plugin “UXbarn Extension for Visual Composer” to activate, therefore my site’s layout is completely messed up and I can’t use my site at all because of it… When I try to activate it, I get a fatal error message saying:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

how can I fix this?
nevermind on this point; got that fixed. now however, it seems there is still an issue with the layout. it doesn’t look like anything is following the style sheet.
my site is katiegutman.com
Nevermind. Got it.
Glad to hear that.
Hi there, thanks for an awesome theme. Totally great to work with. Just a very tiny question: Where may i change / translate the wording of the Filter Button for the Portfolio menu that says “All” by default? Just can’t find it. Greetings, J.
You can directly find that word in the UXbarn Portfolio plugin in this path and file:
Just open the file and find this code for the word:
__( 'All', 'uxb_port' )
Hope this helps!
Great. That helped! Thanks and all the best, J.
You are welcome! Glad I could help!
Hi there, I love this theme and I purchased it already. I’ve launched my website today, but found out from a few people that my logo gets all jumbled up with my headers. This seems to only happen in IE and Firefox. I tried it both on Mac and PC, Safari and Chrome are fine. Can you please tell me why this is happening and better yet, can you tell me how it can be fixed??
if you want to take a look. my site is www.wulalaweddings.com and you will see what I mean (when opened in IE and Firefox). Thanks.
The actual logo size is quite big (currently, it is 774×407 pixels). Firefox and IE seem to manage the large image resizing differently comparing to Chrome. Please try to resize your logo to about “357×188” pixels and upload it again . This would work across browsers.
Oh! I will give that a try and see. Thank you!!!
Hi. Great theme.
I have two questions so far. If I want to use some frame(png format), as a different lyer in slider, what resolution should be? And if there is any possibility to adjust position of each lyer?
Second one is, how to do gallery with circular thumbnails?
Thanks in advance.
1. If you use LayerSlider type, you can do that. It has a feature for creating and adjusting layers and animations on each slide. For the resolution, did you mean the width and height of the home slider? If so, you can try using “1170×600” pixels same as the demo site.
2. To use circle thumbnails for the gallery, please firstly go to the page edit screen and click a pencil icon of the “Image Gallery/Slider” element. Then select “Circle” for the “Grid style” option. Please see the screenshot here: http://cl.ly/image/182k2h0a3z1u
Thanks for quick response. It is sorted now. One more question: can I use circule thumbnails as a icon of post what will be protected by password. I want to do “client zone” . When client will click on circle and put password, will see all his images.
I hope you know what I mean.
You can do a password protection at the page level. Click “Quick Edit” link of the page and you will see the password field (screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/2M110t3c2k1s ).
That not exactly what I mean but manage with it Tell me please how to do two color text as on demo page ie. “THE CHARMING
WORDPRESS THEME” where “CHARMING” is red and rest is black.
Just wrap the text with “span” tag for that. Screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/2y230A2w2Q42
Hello. I’m hoping you can provide a short code or CSS that would format the blog posts to 1 column (short code only has 3 or 4 column options).
Unfortunately there is no option for that. You would need to manually customize the CSS and and shortcode output in “vc_templates/vc_posts_grid.php” file.
What code do I pull? What do I plug in?
Sorry but the customization would be beyond my general support which only covers the issue of the default theme package. I would recommend to find a freelancer/developer to help you on the theme customization. You can also find great ones at: http://www.microlancer.com/
I would just like to say that this is one the best wordpress themes I have ever used. So easy to use and edit. Thank you very much. Still a work in progress but after an evening I have got it pretty far thanks to the ease of use. Keep up the great work
Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate that and happy to know you like the theme!
Also thanks for the website, very nice portfolio you have there!
Hi – Great theme. Is there a way to have the text when you rollover a portfolio thumbnail be something other than the portfolio page title. Maybe something from an excerpt field or the Meta info or custom field?
Unfortunately there is no option for that out of the box. It would require custom modification of the theme for that.
can you point me in the right direction on where that would get added?
You can find the related code in this path and file:
It is part of the UXbarn Portfolio plugin.
Is there any way to link directly to a portfolio category?
Could you please elaborate? You mean to link it from where? For example, you can add the portfolio category into the main menu to directly link to the category archive page.
For example – if you wanted to a link on your homepage to go directly to Portfolio – but to the Wedding filter
You can do that by just adding a normal link into the page content and use the URL from the “View” link in “Portfolio > Portfolio Categories” page. Please see this screenshot for where to find the URL: http://cl.ly/image/1m452h3I2600
Thanks. But that is slightly different functionality. If I do that it would take me to a different page template: http://themes.uxbarn.com/wp/fineliner/portfolio-category/wedding/
That one has square thumbnails and there is no way to navigate to the other categories. Is there no way to target the categories from the main portfolio template?
Something like this: http://benalman.com/code/projects/jquery-hashchange/examples/hashchange/#test1
Sorry but the theme does not have that functionality.
Understood. Then is there a way to change the category page design so instead of square thumbnails it looks like the portfolio page?
Please try this:
1. Open ”/uxb_templates/taxonomy-portfolio.php” file.
$thumbnail = get_the_post_thumbnail( get_the_ID(), 'uxb-port-related-items', array( 'alt'=>get_the_title() ) );
$thumbnail = get_the_post_thumbnail( get_the_ID(), 'uxb-port-element-thumbnails', array( 'alt'=>get_the_title() ) );
Now it should display the thumbnails like portfolio element.
Does the theme have a breadcrumbs feature?
Unfortunately not. You would have to find and use the plugin for that.
Hi, two questions regarding the portfolio section.
1.) I would like to have permalinks like this:
instead of the default
which makes a lot of sense in terms of SEO for my site, as i am using highly SEO-relevant portfolio categories.
The general permalinks setting on my site is /category/postname, but as this doesnt affect the portfolio posts, i wonder where i could change the portfolio items permalinks to the format explained above.
2.) Is it possible to display the portfolio thumbnails permanently in the status as it is when one is howering over them with the mouse (showing the text, showing the colored layer over the thumbnail
pic). If yes, how to do that?
Thanks alot for your help, all the best, J.
1. You would need to manually customize the code of “UXbarn Portfolio” plugin when registering custom post type and taxonomy. The related path and file is:
This discussion thread might help: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/108642/permalinks-custom-post-type-custom-taxonomy-post
Or, you can try google with the keywords like “display taxonomy with custom post type permalink”.
2. Did you mean to always display the hover state on each portfolio thumbnail? If so, please go to “Style Customizer > Others > Custom CSS” and try using this:
opacity: 1 !important;
Hi, thanks for your answer. I tried to modify the “Register post type” line in ”/plugins/uxbarn-portfolio/includes/post-type.php” based on the advice in the thread, but now the page became inaccessible. To make it accessible again: Is this the original line like it was?:
// Register post type
register_post_type( 'uxbarn_portfolio', $args );
Sorry, but i just messed this up.
Ok, got it. Changed it back to that via FTP instead of editor, site is accessible again now.
Ok, i’ve found a very easy workaround to do this. I stumbled upon this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-permalinks/ and then just defined this to be added to the (custom post type) portfolio permalinks: / % uxbarn_portfolio_tax % / % postname % / so permalinks are now like this: www.sitename.com/portfolio/portfoliocategory/portfolioitem
Awesome. Thanks for sharing!
HI, I am having issues with my logo overlapping in the header. i tried to reduce the image size but it still doesnt fit. How can this be fixed?
Hi, already responded to your ticket.
A quick question , where can i edit the copyright details at the bottom of the footer?
Please go to “Theme Options > Footer > Copyright Text” and you can find it there.
If I may ask a couple of pre-purchase questions?
1) Is it possible to change the text on the single portfolio pages from Date/Client/Categories/Website to something more akin to my artwork?
2) In the blog, can I have full size images instead of cropped ones?
Thanks for your interest.
1. It is possible but it would require you to direclty change that in the code.
2. Yes, you can change the dimension of the blog thumbnail but, again, this would require a bit customization in the theme code.
How can i reduce the size of the footer
Thanks in advance
There is no out of the box option unfortunately. You would need to manually adjust the CSS for that.
Is there a way to add multiple portfolio items at once or do they need to be added one at a time.
Yes, actually you can select portfolio categories to add and the theme will display multiple items based on the selected categories. Just click a pencil icon of Portfolio element on the editor and you will see this screen for category selection: http://cl.ly/image/1Y1t0Q2M441W .
Sorry – I was not clear. I have many photos to add for a portfolio and would like to drop them in without creating a portfolio item for each one at a time. It appears there is no way to do that.
Or – is there a way for the image gallery to display thumbnails like the portfolio? So instead of Round or Square it would display at the dimensions of the image. Thanks!
Unfortunately there is no option for that. You would need to customize the theme for the functionality.
Alternatively, you can try google for the plugins using keywords like “masonry gallery plugin wordpress”. There may be some plugins that suit your requirement.
