Hi there, loving this theme!
Just a couple of questions before purchasing. Can we put multi videos and images into a blog post? I couldn’t see an example of this in your demo.
Also, would it be insanely difficult to change the size of the portfolio thumbnails on the homepage. I’d like to make them bigger.
I am really glad you are loving the theme! Thanks for taking an interest in it.
Regarding your questions:
1) Most certainly. A single item can contain both images and videos.
2) Changing the size of the portfolio thumbnails shouldn’t pose any problems for a developer. I guess it could be done under a half an hour.
Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!
Sorry, just to add on my last comment – could we stagger the portfolio thumbnail heights so the effect is more masonry like the blog? Thanks again!
Sure thing! The portfolio already utilizes a masonry layout, so you only need to change the way the heights are assigned to thumbnails. Changing one or two lines of code in the portfolio template should do the trick.
For some reason the site does not work on iPad. Thats when i vie won Themeforest, not my own install.
The homepage does not show the portfolio thumbnails at all?
I am doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance
please try clearing your browser’s cache and looking at the site again. That should do it.
By the way, thanks for checking out the site!
Thanks for your response. Still no joy on iPad or iPhone.. I can send a screengrab if you like?
Really keen to buy this but its a bummer I can’t seem to get it displaying correctly?
You are very much welcome.
The site worked fine for me on an iPad, as well as an iPhone, so I would definitely appreciate a screenshot. Also, can you please tell me which iOS version you are running, and the browsers you are using to access the site? Thanks!
absolutely cool work you are my favorite in style and programming.
Thanks for the awesome compliment, and for the purchase, of course! Glad you rate my work so highly.
Have a great day,
Is it possible to add costum logo where the “site title” is now? without coding anything.

Thinking about buying this theme. I was wondering how much control do i have on the colors? Also does this support Google web-fonts?
thanks for taking an interest in the theme!
1) You can change the colors , but you would have to customize the CSS in the main stylesheet (style.css file), which controls the look of the theme.
2) Two of Google web fonts are already embedded, and used in the theme, but if you want to use some other ones, you can try utilizing a plugin like WP Google Fonts, which lets you embed hundreds of different fonts from the google webfonts repository. It does almost everything for you, but some further, very minor adjustments to the CSS of the theme might be needed to get everything like you want it to be.
I love the simplicity of this theme and I’m prepared to buy it, however, I have one concern. When browsing through the portfolio images, I noticed that it takes time to load each subsequent image. The delay is not due to my internet speed as I have high internet speed and I have tried other templates and they usually load almost instantly. Is this something that can be remedied?
I understand that you have setup the portfolio images to load on a new page with it’s own link which to my understanding is great for seo, right? However, is there any way where the speed can be increased to allow the images to load quicker?
glad you love the theme! thanks for taking an interest in it!
As far as your concern goes, all of the items load within 1-2 seconds for me, so I am not sure why you perceive the portfolio to be slow. Having said that, which device, and what browser are you using to check out the demo site? Also, how long do you have to wait for a an item to load?
Oh, and the images actually load dynamically on the same page, via a popular technique called AJAX, while the URL changes only so you can share the link to the item more easily.
the site you showed me loads just one image at a time, while firefly loads all of the images within a post, once it is opened. The result is that you wait a bit longer for the post to load, but browsing through the images within a post happens instantly, while the example you showed me is exactly the opposite of that. Having said that, you can make the theme behave the same, but some development work would be required of you, which is most definitely a task for a developer.
On the iPad page work tragically. Freezes, so it needs to be refreshed because you can not click on any item. Not to mention that I have 2 times click on the button to enter the subpage. Support for high definition would also be welcome. I wonder what to buy, but at a given time theme does not work properly.
sorry to hear that the demo is not working as expected for you on an iPad. Having said that, can you please tell me exactly when the site freezes?
By the way, thanks for taking an interest in the theme!
Hi, congrats for the theme, we love it and we are thinking about purchase but yesterday we have tested http://onioneyethemes.com/firefly/ in iphone 4S with iOS 5.0.1 in Safari and portfolio + blog do not work fine. It is not possible scroll down when lightbox with work – post appears. Do you know this issue?. Something about that? we are really interested. Thanks and regards!
As far as your question goes, I am fully aware of the problem, and I have issued an update some time ago, to remedy it, so the weird thing is that it’s still happening for you. Having said that, can you please tell me when’s the first time you visited the demo firefly site?
Hi, thanks for the reply. Yesterday I have checked it again, deleting the cache and the problem persists: when I scroll in blog´s lightbox the layer that scroll is the layer below, not the blog content. Let me know if you correct the problem, please, I´m really interested in this theme but it´s a bigger problem the no visualization in iphone. Thanks again and kind regards.
you are very much welcome. Thanks for checking out the site for the second time.
I will have to start over and try to debug everything again. Will make sure I contact you in case I manage to fix the problem.
Once again, thanks a lot for taking an interest in the theme, and good luck!
thank you very much for the answer. I’ll wait to be solved, and yes, please contact me when the problem is solved. Kind regards!
Hey what´s new! do you have fixed this problem? we are still interesting in purchase. Tell us please, regards.
thank you for contacting me, and for still taking an interest in the Firefly theme! I can now confirm that this is definitely a bug with iOS, and not with the theme. That said, in the iOS versions 6.1 and up, things should work perfectly fine, so you might consider updating your software, if you’re up for it, and then checking the theme again.
Thanks a lot. I will try in iOS 6. Regards.
You are very much welcome! Hopefully you will not experience any issues.
Hi is it possible to remove the menu, header and banner so that I can have the filter options at the top of the page?
thanks for taking an interest in the theme! Appreciate it.
As far as your question goes, it is definitely possible to achieve that. The following custom CSS could should suffice: http://snippi.com/s/qobffmh
Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!
Very nice theme. I’m seriously considering to purchase it.
1) Does it have a “normal” page, or are all pages (about us etc.) above the menu?
2) Is it possible to extend the width of post and portfolio items? I will be using it to showcase 16:9 videos.
I would appreciate it, if you can reply.
Thanks for buying the theme, Nedim, before I even got the chance to answer your questions!
See you on the forums!
Very nice theme which span needs of my client!!
Just a quick question: My client have a lot of work to show. So I just would like to know if portflio looks good on homepage and how many works i can show. or is it easy to show like a load more button…
Thanks for your respond;
thank you for the compliment about the theme!
As far as your question goes, the portfolio works with a filter, which animates the items based on the selected category, without opening a new page. In other words, all items are shown at once, so the pagination isn’t available. Well, at least not out of the box, so some development work would be required of you, if you wanted to have it. This is most definitely a task for a developer, by the way.
Having said that, I wish you a lot of fun with the theme, if you end up buying it!
I bought ur theme 3days ago.
But don`t find portpolio page from main(index.php).
Just only main page bring post into view.
And i was control user definition view.but get nowhere.
Plz check this site
I don’t know this situation during 3days. n.n;
If u able to check this site. i will send admin`s password and ID.
My client is very glad about your template. But there is one point I couldn’t answer : As I said , he has a lot of work to show, is there a way to have more items per line (on my 26 inch i can have like 7 projects and o laptop like 5) by decreasing box’size and have more stuff.
Again thanks alot for your quick answer, Ihope it sgonna be ok, like that i have found my template
glad your client likes the theme! As far as your latest questions goes, it is definitely possible to have more items per a single row, but you would have to customize the theme’s code a bit to achieve that. Having said that, I don’t see why this would be a problem for an experienced developer, who is knowledgeable about responsive design.
Once again, have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!
Hey Onion Eye,
I have a question about your theme but more importantly own a creative agency and want to implement some of your functionality into a project we are working on. Would you be willing to talk to me via email?
Also, I want to modify the theme to allow only 4 items per row and am so close but running into a bug. Would love to chat.
please address all of your issues via the support forum available at http://onioneye.ticksy.com/ (you can make the ticket private, if you don’t want it to be seen by other people). Also, before asking for help,
please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions of the forum, and have in mind that I currently don’t accept any freelance work, or offer support for customizations beyond one or two lines of code.
Is it possible to make the photos larger?
We’ve seen that they are always the same wide.
Could we change it?
As far as your question goes, it is most certainly possible to make the photos larger. The solution can be found on the following page: http://themeforest.net/item/firefly-interactive-responsive-portfolio-theme/discussion/3385408?page=2
Note: look for the comment, posted by a user named “nforce”.
Have fun working with the Firefly theme, if you end up buying it!
great theme, do the pages only load in the cool effect, or is it possible to have it load as a regular page, or would that break the theme etc. Reason I ask, I was thinking about adding a cart, and cool effect might not work me. thank you
glad you find the theme great! Thanks for taking an interest in it!
As far as your question goes, it is possible to have the theme load the pages normally (without the cool “AJAX” effect), but that would take some development work on your behalf. However, I don’t see why a skillful developer couldn’t complete this pretty quickly.
