Hello,

Great looking theme! Very unique with the slider on the top – I like it very much!

One question before buying – when viewing portfolio item on a lightbox can you close it with Escape key? Right now it doesn’t seem to work although it’s quite usual practice.

It would actually be great if Escape key worked for closing the top slider as well.

Thanks for help.

David

Hi David,

glad you find the theme great looking! Thank for taking an interest in it.

Regarding your question, the keyboard shortcuts are not implemented, and I would not worry about that because they are not so commonly found on the web, so one would imagine that the majority users wouldn’t expect to have them available, once they visit a certain website. Having said that, if you would still like to have this, some development work would be required of you, but I’m sure it shouldn’t be a tough task at all for a developer.

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Sincerely,

Thanks. I though it was a common practice to close lightbox either by clicking outside of it (which works in your theme) or by pressing Escape. But it’s ok, i think I might be able to find how to code it.

Got one more question though – what about fonts? Is there any selection or Google font possibility?

Thank you.

Default-user

OK, found the answer regarding Google fonts. :-)

Anyway – is there a way to make two or three portfolio pages? One for design let’s say, and the other for photography? This is make or break for me as I’ve got loads of photos to show but don’t wanna mix it with other items on one page which does not have pagination.

I guess there is no choice to open menu links on separate pages but only in the top slider, right?

Thank you.

Hi there,

you are very much welcome. :)

When it comes to having multiple portfolios, that feature is possible, but since it is not available out of the box, some development work is required of you, which is most definitely a task for a skillful developer. The same goes for opening menu links on separate pages, although that would take much less work to complete.

I wish you the best of luck whatever you decide to do!

Sincerely,

If I set up two home pages – which is basically a portfolio page – name one of them Photography and the other one Design I could then have two portfolio pages, right? Is it gonna work this way?

onioneye

I am afraid it’s not going to work that way, unless you set up two different WordPress installations. In other words, it’s not possible without some further modification of the theme’s code, unfortunately.

Hi Onioneye,

The text in ‘our services’ page is still hyphenating/ breaking as seen in the ‘about us’ page in your ‘live preview’ site. I removed the line of code from the normalize file as you said and cleared the cache but it did not correct the problem. I sent you this message 2 weeks ago in the dedicated support forum and did not hear back from you. A simple response indicating if you can help resolve this problem would be appreciated! I think that by default, the text should not hyphenate the way it does now; it should break by word, not by letter.

Regards, Husam

Hi Husam,

please accept my honest apologies, but you checked the “private response” option for some reason, when providing a reply to my comment, and I ended up not receiving a notification for your response. Must have been a glitch within the ticketing system because there is no way I would ever miss a single ticket in my forum. Having said all that, I managed to locate your ticket now, and provide you with the solution to your issue.

Once again, thank you for your patience, and for purchasing the Firefly theme! Good luck with your site! :)

I really like your theme, however before I purchase it I would like to ask if the “lightbox” can be adjusted to be larger than 600px wide? Would this option be in the theme options or would I have to adjust via css? thanks in advance & keep up the good work.

onioneye

Hi there,

thanks for taking an interest in the theme!

As far as your questions go, the solution to expanding the width of the portfolio posts (i.e. lightboxes) is already available, and can be found on the following page: http://themeforest.net/item/firefly-interactive-responsive-portfolio-theme/discussion/3385408?page=2

Note: look for the comment posted by a user named “nforce”.

Enjoy working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)
