Brandon,
Thanks for the extremely quick reply! As for my second question I would basically like to align the search field & cursor with the main navigation links. Thanks again. I appreciate your help.
N
No problem – it’s still hard to say without seeing a link, but in core.css, on line 127, you can change the vertical placement through the “top: Xpx” setting – try using 20px like this:
#right_links { -moz-border-radius:6px 6px 6px 6px; background:none repeat scroll 0 0 black; border:1px solid #333333; float:right; padding:15px 15px 0; position:relative; top:20px; }I should also note that you can just add the new rule into the “Custom CSS ” field in the admin panel – as there is a massive update in the queue right now, it’d probably be easier if you saved any CSS edits in that field rather than working off of the actual template CSS files, which will be changing from version to version.

I have one last small issue and then everything is perfect!
I am using the template without the the side bar. But when someone comments the comments are not lining up right.

I have not modified the comments at all other than color
Thanks Jamie
Hi Jamie,
Strange – haven’t seen this one before, but here’s a quick fix (enter this to your CSS panel in the admin):
.commentlist li .comment_text {width:420px;}
Ok Thanks.
Hey Brandon,
I followed your instructions for the search bar and everything worked great! I am still having issues, however, with eliminating the 1px border frame from images inside a post.
N
I changed—
border: 1px solid #e8e8e8
to
border: 0px solid #ffffff;
Try adding ”!important” to the end – the custom stylesheet may be competing with it:
border: 0px !important;
Brandon—
That worked although it removed the border from the thumbnail container. I am looking to remove the border from an image placed inside a post…as in the link here.
http://bit.ly/b47ZaR
Thanks and sorry for the confusion!
N
Ahh, just remove the inline styling on the image
In HTML mode, you’ll notice a [style=”.....”] – remove it and you should be fine.
just wanted to say thanks, i see youre answering everyones questions and that’s a big deal around here. you’ll keep up the good sales with that kind of support.
Thanks Ballgood – I’m doing my best
Brandon,
If I select ‘Yes’ to show the Category Links in the nav bar, only 4 categories maximum are visible. I would like to have at least 6 categories visible in the drop down nav bar. How do I make this possible?
Hi Chato – Are you sure? There are 5 in the demo, and I’m unaware of any number limitation on that dropdown… make sure you have at least one public post in each category that you want to show up
Brandon
Hi, i just bought your theme. I’m trying to build a media/music oriented blog. I have a couple questions: 1- I would like to have the different categories displayed in the header independently and not all under the scroll-down CATEGORIES as it is now. How could i do this ? 2- Is it possible to increase the size of the thumbnail pictures ? if so, how ? 3- Is it possible to separate the posts on the home page.. for example having subsections .. HIGHLIGHTS .. LATEST .. MOST COMMENTS ..? 4- As i plan on using this theme as a blog, how can i add the date on the posts displayed? Thanks for your time, Once again, great theme !.. I can’t wait to have this set up.. !
Brandon,
You haven’t forgotten about me? i can see you answering everyone else apart from me…
i thought i will save time with this project but it seems im further behind now than if i would done it from scratch… i kinda asked few answers before sunday if possible…
Haven’t forgotten about you at all, I just didn’t have an update for you until now
I hope ya don’t mind me helping other people while the update was in the queue! Responding now on your other comment
Did all you said mate didnt work
duno what else i can do to make it work
cufon is a pain
Hi LeBrit,
Can you email a link to your site (if you set me up with a temporary admin account I’ll even poke my nose in there for ya!). Cufon really isn’t too tricky to work with once you get your head around it (it’s a LOT easier than working with any of the other font replacement tools), but I totally feel your frustration with trying to get it to work and not know what’s up
Thanks! Brandon
Excuse me ^^
i have a small problem : all works fine for me, except the Categorie Menu which doesn’t show my categories… at this moment, for exemple i have 3 categories with 1 post per categorie is it ok to test? or i’m missing something?
however Very Very good template :o)
Thanks Bye
Eric
That should be fine Eric – just make sure they are publicly viewable posts – if you need me to peek at it, just drop a link here
Hi Brandon, Thanks again for such a great theme.. I was wondering if you could help me out with my previous questions? I’m kinda new at this so i would definetly appreciate some guidance
Answered
Hi Brandon,
I have a few questions:
1) Is there a way to create an excerpt that appears under the lightbox image? Somewhere you can put some text plus a link etc.
2) I’ve had the issue as LeBrit with Cufon. When I got it to work it just changed the navigation headers and not the post titles or footer headings. Even when I tinkered with it in the core.css and typography.css files to change the font size. Please help.
3) I noticed that your demo doesn’t have the more posts button and filled with more posts on the front page than mine when I filled it with the demo content. Could you tell me how to tweak these settings?
4) My footer isn’t sticking.
Thanks for you help and a great theme
Hi NmBurt,
1. At the moment, no – I played around with some different methods during the initial development of the theme and deemed most of them not stable enough to release to the public – I’ll be working on a few ideas for this in the future though, so if I come up with a good alternative, I’ll be sure to post it here. In short, there is a way to do this with the lightbox by just adding in a custom title=”XXXX” tag, but Wordpress doesn’t do so well with adding this dynamically. It’s something that I’m aware of and working on though!
2. Cufon appears to be working fine on the link that you showed me… so it’s tough to say what’s wrong. In general, you need to set the actual font in the flex.js file – and then style it using the core.css, typography.css, and quick-style.css files.
3. Settings > Reading – this panel will allow you to adjust how many posts show up per page.
4. Make sure you have at least one widget down there – it looks like you’ve got it working in your site though.
Cheers! Brandon
Thanks for the prompt reply Brandon. Great service!
Meant to say I had changed the font using Cufon but reverted it back to the theme default when I couldn’t get it to change the headers apart from the nav bar.
Anyway, your answers have sorted out my issues.
Much appreciated,
Nick
Just bought this last night. I love that you’ve made this theme so easy to customize and included an easy to follow installation guide for us n00bs. Fantastic design. Looking forward to getting it live.
Cheers, Angus
Thanks Angus – that’s greatly appreciated!
Realised I forgot to add my url: http://markasred.com
Thanks!
I love this theme! I only have one question, that I could not find answered in the Getting Started guide: How do I spawn html inside the lightbox? The demo of the theme alludes to me believing it is already a built-in possibility, as the third slide on the “Gallery Lightbox Example” post says “Full Size Image, or Video or HTML .
Specifically I have an iframe I would like to be spawned in the lightbox, after clicking the post thumbnail.
Thanks for any support you might be able to offer on this, and again, spectacular theme!
Gorgeous theme, thank you! Had it set up in no time. Well done!
Thanks!
Hello Great Theme,
One problem my category dropdown does not shows up in IE8 , How can I fix that,
http://www.photobuzz.org
Thank you
Ok – just posted a fix for the category dropdown in IE8 – The update should be live in a few hours, but in case you want to get a jump on it – at the bottom of core.css, just add the .cat-item class to the list in the Cufon dropdown fix:
/* IE Dropdown menu fix */ .cufon:hover, .page_item, .cat-item {color: white !important; visibility: visible !important;}
Hi Brandon,
Top theme!
I’m also having problems with the drop-down menu in IE8 – drop-down box appears but no text is visible.
The same happens for me on the ‘Categories’ menu item on your Live Preview.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,

That fixed it up for us.
Congrats again on a super theme.

Hi Brandon, I’m currently using your Grunge theme .. and I’m going crazy trying to find where i can change the default RED font color and the WHITE in the header and the footer titles …Please help !!!
All links colors are usually stored in the /css/custom/XXXX/quick-styles.css file and the cufon.js file in the same folder
