Hello SwiftIdeas, This theme seems to suit my needs, but before I buy I have one question. Can Google Fonts be used? Thanks! Denice

Default-user

Thatnks, Kristian! That’s good to know as there is a Google font called Quick sans that I want to use for some titles. Also, I’ve been advised to create a child theme since I’ll be doing some customizations. Can you tell me about doing that?

Default-user

Thank you, Kristian! This may be redundant. I went in to edit my reply and may have deleted it. Any recommendations about creating a child theme? Also, in the FlexForm description, what do you mean by the term “asset backgrounds”? Is that different than a regular background?

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

If you could log a support ticket in our forum here: http://support.swiftideas.net/ someone will be in touch to help you out.

Re: Asset backgrounds – this term describes the backgrounds of our various full-width elements (e.g. portfolio carousel, full-width text blocks, testimonials etc.) You can find out more about them here: http://flexform.swiftideas.net/features/#assetbkg

Hope that helps

Kristian

Hi SwiftIdeas, nice theme.

When checking the demo I noticed the languages at the top right. Does it support google translate, or could support it with a plugin or some simple code I could add myself?

Is it possible to add a small news with text highlight below the slider? Sometimes magazine themes have this. Here’s what I mean: http://i.imgur.com/OcYvs5Y.png

It would be cool if it could be added with a plugin or some simple custom work.

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay in replying, I’ve just returned from holiday.

That language switcher is powered by WPML, although you could translate the site using a free plugin such as qTranslate (without that switcher functionality)

You could add that with a full width text asset, or the impact text asset like we have right below the slider.

Hope that helps.

Hi SwiftIdeas,

I’m looking at changing my current wordpress theme to this one.

Currently with my theme when looking at page speed insights from google, there are blocking script resources and css resources, causing my pages to not load as fast as possible.

E.g.

Your page has 21 blocking script resources and 19 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.

Does this theme have blocking scripts or css resources?

Thank you in advance.

George.

SwiftIdeas

Not as such, just recommend that you make a backup before incase you need to revert for any reason. Should be a pleasant transition for you though.

Recommend checking out our documentation so that you can familiarise yourself with the various theme areas.

Hope that helps!

Hi Ed,

Thank you very much. I have another question. Would Gravity Forms work with Flexform? I noted in the documentation that contact form 7 is used for demo content.

Please let me know, as we have set up quite an established gravity forms structure.

SwiftIdeas

Gravity Forms should work absolutely fine. Any issues, we’ll be happy to help.

Dear Sirs, Some months ago, we bought the Flexform – Retina Responsive Multi-Purpose Theme by SwiftIdeas so we use it to build our website www.adict-ar.es We cannot publish in Facebook any content from our website at it looks the content is blocked. We contacted Facebook several times with no answer and our hosting services company told us that this wordpress theme looks blocked as illicit. In addition, McAffee security scan plus is detecting our website as unsecured.

We would very much appreciate if you could check this incidence and come back to us with any solution we could implement in order to unblock our website.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Ed is @swiftideas getting ready for Wordpress 3.8 testing comp ability for update. http://wordpress.org/news/2013/12/parker/

SwiftIdeas

Tested here, all working fine! As far as I can see, the vast majority of changes are all to backend styling/functionality.

Thanks,

I’m using Flexform version 1.4.2 with WordPress 3.5.1 Can I update both theme and WordPress? If yes, which one should I update first? By the way,I’ve modified many codes in style.css and function.php, will these changes be reset if I update? Thank you.

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Update the theme first, then WordPress. If you’ve made changes to style.css and functions.php then you’ll need to copy these across once you’ve updated the theme.

Styling changes should be made in a child theme or in the custom css box, as these would stay with updates.

- Ed

Hi

I just noticed the latest update to theme, which is compatible with Wordpress 3.6.

If I install the new theme, will the current look of my site remain the same, or will I have to redesign it, after installing the updated theme? I haven’t done any custom css. http://livewiredgroup.com

Looking forward to your guidance.

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

You won’t have to make any changes. Hope that helps.

I find my submenu titles to be really small. Is there a way to increase the size of the font?

http://new.livethroughtheheart.com/
SwiftIdeas

Sure, just add the following to the custom css box within theme options:

nav .menu ul li {
font-size: 14px;
}

Excellent! Thank you.

Hi SwiftIdeas,

First just wanted to let you know that I love your Flexform theme! My website is beautiful and functional, and works on all devices, excellent on phones and Ipads. My client is overjoyed to say the least, so thank you! You have great customer service too!

Also, wanted to ask whether it’s possible to have the “Filter” on the portfolio page always expanded. Right now, by default, you have to click on it in order to expand it. Can the page load with the project filter expanded by default?

And I noticed that you came out with a newer version (1.5). I have version 1.0. How do I go about updating the website? (Do I need to update it??)

With Thanks,

Renee

SwiftIdeas

Hi Renee,

I’m not sure that’s possible, but try this code instead:

.wpb_portfolio_widget .filter-wrap .filter-slide-wrap {
display: block;
}

That worked great!! You’re amazing, thank you!

SwiftIdeas

Glad that helped :)

Hi, I have been reading the forum a lot but can’t seem to find a solution to my clients issue. Do you have any custom css code to make the mainnavigation buttons the full width of the site? Here is the site www.griggsimmigration.com right now I have them centered but the client wants them stretched across so they don’t appear so close together. Thanks for your help and your forums have been very helpful to me.

Hi, I am trying to work out away to show a different logo when a different page loads? Please can you advise how to do this?

Many Thanks :)

Perfect, Thanks for the quick response!

Hello, Is there any way to use wp e-commerce with this theme? What I really need is to integrate 2checkout.com payments on my website. I am now developing the site and realized that I need a 2checkout.com plugin but cannot find any for woocommerce so I installed wp e-commerce. Is there any way to integrate 2checkout.com into woocommerce? I’m a bit of a noob so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. Whenever I hover over the cart menu it says to install woo commerce (I deactivated woocommerce and deleted the pages that came with it).

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Yes, they should have no trouble with that. What about this plugin – http://www.woothemes.com/products/2checkout-form/ ? Seems there are a few that you can get to add 2checkout to WooCommerce.

- Ed

Default-user

Thanks. Will check it out.

No worries!

Hi

In the toggle grid/table, the font is supposed to be the normal body/paragraph font set, but it’s showing as something different. Can you please tell me how to fix this? See example here, in the list, featured clients. http://livewiredgroup.com/about-us/

SwiftIdeas

You’ve got a pre tag in that code, check it and remove it.

- Ed

Done. Works. Thanks. And Happy New Year. Wishing you continued success.

SwiftIdeas

Great! Happy new year to you too!

Hi,

As you can see on my web site, i have issue with homepage & your blog system: http://neo-sapiens.fr/ If you want to go to page 2 of articles from home page, it does not work. IF you want to do it from a category page (food & drink, sports, tech, or anyelse) it works.

So, what can i do about it? thanks

SwiftIdeas

Hmm ok. I’ve tested it here and it definitely works 100%. Can you check if it’s a plugin that is conflicting?

- Ed

julianduty

the problem is from permalinks as we have seen

I use SEO by Yoast which act on permalinks, would it be that? I can’t disable seo by yoast it’s my entire SEO which is based on.

SwiftIdeas

Yes, however when I test the same permalink configuration here, it works fine – something else must be interfering. Could you possibly disable SEO by Yoast temporarily to see if it works without it? That way we can narrow down the issue and hopefully come closer to finding a fix for you.

Hi Is there a way to show different logo and colour scheme for different pages? I’ve got a client who wants to have three distinct sections differentiated by colour and different coloured logo Thanks Nick Garnett

SwiftIdeas

Hi Nick,

Unfortunately not as standard, you would need to add some custom css to change the colour scheme, and probably create some conditional logic for the logo in the header.php file.

Possible, but not as standard.

Hope that helps.

- Ed

SwiftIdeas

No worries!

- Ed

Hey Ed. Whenever I upload my logo, the height of the menu bar changes according to the size of the logo. I would like the height of the menu bar to remain the default size, how can I do this?

SwiftIdeas

Just a link to your site, that way I can check out the issue :)

- Ed

Default-user

I actually got the perfect logo size so won’t need it anymore. Thanks!

SwiftIdeas

Great :)

- Ed

“Show page title” and other flexform PAGE options in page settings will not save when I update/publish changes on the page. Please advise.

SwiftIdeas

Hi Richard,

Are these pages that were there before the theme was installed?

- Ed

Looks like a fantastic theme. I want to know whether it can be used for a one page site with the navigation linking to anchors within the home page and ideally smooth scrolling to that anchor?

Thanks

SwiftIdeas

Thank you!

Unfortunately not, we do have this functionality in our latest theme though – http://themeforest.net/item/dante-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/6175269

Hope that helps.

- Ed

Default-user

Thanks for the quick response. That’s a shame, Dante also looks like an epic theme but the round elements in Flexform such as charts, team page etc. suit the brand better than the more square elements in Dante.

Thanks for your help though

SwiftIdeas

No worries, we’ll see if we can add it in a future update!

Thanks,

- Ed

Happy New Year! May I ask if Flexform – Retina Responsive Multi-Purpose Theme works with Wordpress 3.8? Do you plan new releases of the theme?

SwiftIdeas

Happy new year to you too!

Yes it does work with 3.8, and we have some updates planned :)
