Just installed the update 1.1.1 and I am having a few issues. Karp13Photography.com

1. I cannot reorder images in a portfolio. Would really love to see this option!

2.On my iPhone/iPad I have to click on the dead middle of the featured portfolio image where the overlay link should be to get it to open the portfolio. I tried it in both Safari and Chrome.

3.When I remove an image from a portfolio and delete it from my system it is showing a gray box in the project media area of the portfolio edit post page.

4. When I enter a description for a portfolio image in the project media area the description disappears when I update the page.

I was also wondering if you were thinking about setting up a forum for this theme. I have found some fixes to things back in the comments, but it is really time consuming to manually look through them since there is no search function. A forum may save you a ton of time answering questions also.

intheme

Hey,

1.1.1 had an issue on some servers that did not support PUT / DELETE requests. If that says anything :-) This is fixed in 1.1.2 which is already submitted.

Actually updating should solve all four your issues. Let me know if that’s not the case.

As of forum, believe me I want it as much as you do :-) I’ve checked what other authors use and came to the conclusion that it will take some time to set it up nicely, so I had to postpone it for now. Maybe you have some good solutions? Or have seen some good examples?

Thanks, V

Thank you! All but issue 2 above have been fixed. Since the overlay does not work on my iOS devices it would be nice if the whole image was clickable to get into the specific portfolio.

I have the same issues as others have added on here regarding v1.1.1

Images just randomly do not appear in the portfolios, have to back this update out – had 5 emails from site visitors already and its only been an hour, all of the saying the same thing…

Hopefully this can be fixed in 1.1.2

Vilius, you give great support. I’ve been looking over your source code – you are different to many developers on here. I really like your attention to detail, its quite rare.

Thanks again. Just a couple more bugs to fix on this theme and I think you have it perfect…

Can confirm that the random images problem is fixed – well done!

intheme

Nice to hear! We’ll get there :-)

Hey Vilius, could you comment on these bugs please?

Clicking on the portfolio page does not respect the Wordpress Reading settings. Mine is set at 5 posts, the portfolio just shows them all – this causes large load times which Google has a problem with (and end viewer complaints) – can this be fixed please.

Problem URL http://www.davidbakerphotography.com/portfolio/

They should really behave like the blog (option to go to the next page when defined reading settings is respected)

Example of correct behaviour http://www.davidbakerphotography.com/journal

Bug#2

Can you fix the search results please (potfolio not displayed correctly and RQUOT; in search term widget)

http://www.davidbakerphotography.com/?s=care&submit=Search

Thanks my friend

intheme

Hey,

the rquot issue is already fixed. Regarding the portfolio paging I have that on my list. It will be released along with autoloading of images on portfolio and project pages. Hopefully this will happen during the next week :-)

BTW. I’ve just submitted 1.1.2, so it should get approved in a few hours.

Cheers, V

Great idea, that would be perfect! Looking forward to this already…

Hi. Before purchasing this theme I’d like to know if there’s a way to show captions on pictures in the single portfolio slideshow. Thank you

intheme

Hey,

yes, I’ve added an example on the demo website.

I love this theme! Its been updated twice since my purchase. Author is really helpful and open to suggestions. This theme only gets better and better.

Hello, before I but this theme, I’ve got few questions : 1. I would like to set home page as “portfolio home page”, I would like to be able to control what is on this page, more precisely – latest projects of different categories (photo, video, animation, design), featured posts, featured blog posts. 2. I wold like to have 6-7 buttons on top, near Home 3. In case of portfolio home page and latest (for example) photo projects button, can they change sequentially ? 4. “Use arrows for navigation”, on bottom, can I change icon to bigger one 5. Mine web site will be in Polish :) Some google web fonts doesn’t have problem with Polish letters and I wold like to use them. Best Regards, Maciej :)

thx for the update 1.1.2! Great work! How I can reorder my portfolio projects in the grid layout? Best regards

Hi there,

was just wondering whether there’s the possibility to upload more than 12 projects in the grid view? From the live preview I can’t see any scrolling options.

Thanks!

Latest update is very very very nice Vilius—congrats!

Want to echo stijames’s comments: vilius is incredibly hardworking and has been churning out updates like crazy. Anyone who is on the fence about purchasing this theme—don’t hesitate to do so. It’s already great and will only get better!

Found a small bug in most recent version—when using an iPad, the homepage slider freezes after a few manual cycles through slides. It occurs at random.

Hi

How to I take the title “Fluxus” off my home page? At the moment it appears above my tagline. Even though my site title is set to “foxeye”. I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to change this.

Hi, sorry for asking so many questions.

Is there any way to get more than 10 images per portfolio project?

intheme

Hey,

are your projects showing only 10? Project pages should always show every image.

Guys instead of bombarding Vilius with too many questions, please just read the documentation that comes with the theme. I’m hardly a technical whiz and managed to get set up without any problems (that I couldn’t solve by looking at the documentation!).

Vilius, this is a truly great theme – your support on here is second to none. Thank you & keep doing what you’re doing.

Portfolio will be ready shortly, just waiting on some final images so I’ve tested how the theme looks with some example images & it’s great.

Two quick things I wanted to know are:

1. Can I move the copyright notice (currently at the bottom right) over to the left instead? Differentiation purposes that’s all!

2. Is there any way for me to change the colour theme of the buttons & selections (which is currently yellow) to a grey colour?

Many thanks in advance.

intheme

Hey,

thanks a lot for kind words and encouragement! It’s really exciting!

You can align copyright to the left by adding this to your user.css file:

.footer-links { float: left; }
.footer-navigation { float: right; }
.footer-links .credits:before { background: none; }
.footer-links .credits { margin: 0; }

Note that this will work only if you don’t use social networks and sharing. Otherwise you’ll have to modify footer.php and move some parts around by cutting and pasting :-)

As for changing accent color, I’ve just written a documentation section. You can read it here – http://inthe.me/documentation/fluxus/#how-to-change-accent-color-108

I keep getting this error in Theme Options whenever i try to update my website logo:

intheme

Hey,

it appears your server does not support getting image size via url. The logo should still get saved, but there might be some sizing issues. I’ll fix it with the next version.

Hi Vilius, I found the answer to my question – reorder portfolios – in the blog, sorry.

But I have another question: On my website I have a main menu “Portfolio” and three submenus build with sites: 1. Architecture, 2. Stillife, 3. People. I ordered my portfolio projects by this three project types. But if I click on (for example) 1. Architecture, it shows me on the grid all portfolio projects, but I want only to show the architecture projects.

I wrote, that I have to change this three sites in the menu with project types. I did it: Now, it works, but:

1. Is it possible to reorder the thumbnails in the grid? 2. Is it possible to change the grid layout in project types?

www.eduardoperez.de

thx eduardo

intheme

Hey,

yes it’s possible to reorder projects in the grid. Login to your Wordpress admin and go to Portfolio, you’ll see your projects in the same order they are displayed on the website. Click “Quick edit” next to any project, there will be an option “Order”, enter a number to change the project position. Projects are being sorted ascending by order value and descending by creation date. Which means projects with lower Order numbers come first. If two project have the same number, the one that was created more recently will come first. I agree that this is not the most convient way to sort, but that is the default Wordpress solution.

HI,

Is possible change the order Is it possible to change the order of upload media adding Media Project? Automatically, without using Drag&Drop, the last to upload the default is the last place.

intheme

Hey,

it’s not very simple and requires modifying a couple of template files. Please contact me over email if you’d like to get instructions.

no problem. Thank you.

hi, I have the same question as [medefine]. is it possible to re-arrange the images after I have uploaded the images in a project? thanks. Femke

intheme

Hey,

yes it is possible. It is done differently depending on which version you are using.

If you have 1.1 or newer then go to your Project page and drag media items around. It should look like this http://cl.ly/image/1O1q3f0P2Q45

Otherwise you have to click “Add Media”, then select “Uploaded to this post”, this will bring all your project images. Drag them around to reorder.

intheme

Hey,

go to your page that has “Page with Slideshow” template set. Click “Add media” and go to “Slider” tab. On the right you will see slideshow settings, here’s the screenshot – http://cl.ly/image/050q1E0z2e0G Enter 3, mark the checkbox and you should be fine :-)

Hi, I would like to update to the latest version, but have made some alterations to my current version (mainly the colour from yellow to blue, so it matches my logo). Is there a way of carrying this over to the latest version without going into the code again and changing it. Also another issue I have is the blog post, it seems to be stuck on horizontal and when i have attachments on the post like a photo I cannot see it on the blog page, only on the actual post page. Could you please help me with this?

Thanks in advance James

intheme

Hey,

there is no easy way to preserve the alterations, so I guess you’ll have to redo them. If it’s just the color, then all it takes is to open style.css file and replace every #FFF200 occurrence with your preferred color. Should not take more than 3 mins :-)

The blog issue is quite vague, do you have it online?

Cheers, Vilius

Default-user

Hi Villius,

Thank you for your prompt response, here is a link to the blog page http://www.james-shilton.co.uk/blog/ The images appear fine on the actual posts page, but not on the blog page if that makes sense. Also is there a way to not have the ‘Continue reading’ and just have the full posts?

Cheers James

intheme

Oh, right, so you can set featured image per each blog post. This means that the image will be displayed before the blog post. To do that go to your blog post edit page and find a section that says “Featured Image” (on the bottom right side), use it to set featured image.

Here’s the screenshot – http://cl.ly/image/0Q3q2b2J2f2u

Unfortunately there is no way to display full post on blog list, as there simply isn’t enough space.

Cheers, Vilius

Hey Vilius,

i have discovered two other minors issue on the contact page.

desktop version of the website, there seems to be a width limit and cuts out some letters. i have attach a screenshot to show: http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/57/sc1i.png

secondly, tablet version of the contact page seems to be having some issue, i only tested on nexus 7 tablet, i do not know if other 7” tablets are having similar issue.

i have attach a screenshot to show: http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/7408/20130312153218.png

intheme

Hey,

to solve first issue you could do add this to your user.css file

.page-contacts .site-content .page {
width: 700px;
}

Thanks for notifying on Nexus issue, I’ll take a look into it and fix in the next versions.

Cheers, Vilius
