Hi there,

I am looking into purchasing this theme, its absolutely perfect for my portfolio site. Just one question, is there a way to have two separate portfolio pages.

For example one for Photography with its own subcategories and one for design with another set of subcategories?

intheme

Hey,

yes it is fully possible with Horizontal Portfolio. It is also possible with Grid Portfolio, but note that Grid Portfolio does not have project type navigation widget (such as this http://cl.ly/image/2k2m071i2N3n), so you’ll have to use main menu to provide links to different subcategories.

Looking forward to see you on board!

Wow thanks for such a quick reply there! To be honest I was going to buy it whatever you said since its such a great theme. I just found my answer in a theme documentation link that was posted earlier too!

Thanks again!

Hi! Possible to make centralized changes color on all elements of the buttons? Now, that would make all red (the current project at the end of the project view, the arrows at the bottom, etc.) have much to suffer .. And so every time you update.

So the question remains of low-resolution images on the preview of the project in the portfolio

intheme

Hey,

it is in the works, meanwhile you can use these instructions – http://inthe.me/documentation/fluxus/#how-to-change-accent-color-108

Basically by copying and pasting the code into your user.css file it will change yellow color into anything of your choice and it will preserve the changes on every update.

Could you repeat the question on the low-res images? I have trouble finding it.

Thanks, Vilius

Hello Vilius,

Thanks for your answer for my last question, couple more questions:

I’ve added my copyright footer to the left of the screen rather than the right, you said this may be a problem when adding social icons – is there anyway I can position the social icons somewhere else? like on the right, and is there a way I can add my own social media icons?

Second, what would you say is the best resolution for images to display nicely on the homepage slider?

Many thanks in advance!

intheme

Hey,

you should upload images that are at least 1920×1280 in size. This is my recommended size. Also note that any bigger image will get automatically downscaled to 1920×1280.

Also aspect ratio is very important on full page slider. The most popular screen aspect ratio is 16/9, so should be your images :-)

Putting social icons to the right can be done by adding this:

#footer .social-networks {
    float: right;
}

Changing the icons as well as putting share widget to the right is not as trivial, so I’m afraid I can’t give you quick instructions for that.

Thanks for this

Is there any way you can send me an e-mail on how to change the icons when you’re free? Would be much appreciated.

I don’t know your email address :-) I’ll update documentation FAQ section with this as it is a common request.

Are you going to address these issues from my past post? Especially the nested/submenus on mobile devices?

Not only you built up a nice, catchy and efficient portfolio, but your professional support has been precious and gives it even more value. I really appreciate your help and I definitely recommend this theme!

Hi, great theme! – I just wanted to confirm that the main homepage slider also has an auto run feature (where I can set animation timing). On the demo the slides only change if the < > arrows are clicked…

Thanks so much, Ryan

intheme

Hey Ryan,

yes, the slider has an auto run option, it’s just not activated on demo.

I love the Fluxus theme on my site, however, when I visit my site from my iPhone5, it gives me a mobile version of the site, which I do not like. It also does not give an option for visitors to switch to full site mode. Is there any way to disable this mobile version and show the full site? I’m able to view the full site on the demo version from my iPhone, and i would prefer this to the mobile.

Hi, I just downloaded the theme and I tried to install it on wordpress but when i upload it, wordpress is telling me that the style.css is missing and I cannot install this theme. Can you help me please?

intheme

Hey,

you are uploading the wrong zip file. Once you download the purchased ZIP file from ThemeForest, extract it and you’ll see few folders like – documentation, psd files and another zip file called fluxus-1.1.2.zip – upload this one to Wordpress and it will work.

Is there a way to change the order that the portfolios are listed? Currently they are listed in the order I added them newest to oldest. I would like to custom order them.

Hi Vilius, can I make a couple of suggestions for a future release -

- the ability to set a minimum/maximum size for photos. Currently they resize to fit the resolution, which is fine for very large images, but smaller images may not resize well.

- Option for left-right navigation arrows preferably semitransparent overlay on the left and right side of the screen (see Photolux for example)

- Option to disable users from right-clicking/saving images

Also, could you tell us how to remove the Lightbox Resize Icon in the lightbox view?

Thanks for the great support so far!

One thing that is missing from the Blog section is a link stating “read more” or something like that. When I add a post with a bunch of images and a paragraph of text nothing shows on the post listing to give people the impression that there is more to see past the paragraph of text. I also noticed that links do not work in the preview of the post.

Would also be nice to have a vertical blog option and show how many comments there are in the listing. May help drive people to read it if they are just browsing.

intheme

Hey,

it should give you “Continue Reading” link if you used post excerpt to give a sneak peek of your post.

Check these screenshots:

http://cl.ly/image/2p092H2D0W3V – post listing with continue reading link http://cl.ly/image/1z0V0g2g3l0F – the same text entered in Post Excerpt field

I’ll definitely consider adding comment count to vertical blog. On the other hand if your blog post does not receive much comments, then the reason behind showing comment count is very little. So probably it should go as an option.

Hi.

I’m having a slight issues with the loading of my sites. see this album: http://imgur.com/a/PClXS/all The 1st picture is how it should load. The second picture is how it actually loads. It only loads correctly if I “reload” the tab. but on the initial load it always loads with the title too close to the images. I have no idea how to fix this. It’s not an issue in Firefox, but in Chrome it does this invariably. How do I get it to load correctly with the first load? Do you know how to fix this issue? Best regards, Retha
intheme

Hey,

I’m currently working on the issue. Some servers have trouble detecting logo image size which causes Fluxus theme to allocate not enough space for the header.

You could follow @in_theme to get notified when the update is out.

Thanks, can’t wait for the vertical blog! Is there a way to remove the title of a blog post from the middle of the image? Or move it so that it aligns to the bottom of the image? Some feature images might be ruined by the title in the middle.
Cheers

intheme

Hey,

you can hide it with this:

.post-image .cover { display: none; }

do this theme support Chinese?

intheme

Hey,

as far as I know for Chinese support you’ll have to:

1. Translate the theme using .po/.mo files. 2. Change font, because the current one does not have Chinese characters.
