Hey,

it’s possible to enable Pinterest as a share widget. This allows you to share images on blog and portfolio.

Isotope grid. Please. Just for the blog index and portfolio index. It would make Fluxus the complete theme… and I could come back to it. Come on. Please. Its not like I am asking for woocommerce…:-)

Isotope.. would make fluxus puuuurfect…

intheme

Hey,

thanks for suggesting! The vertical grid is going to be included in the next major release and isotope is probably the best way to implement it ;-)

PS. I find WooCommerce to be useful as well.

Do you think you will have that layout for blog posts as well as projects/portfolios?

Hi there,

I cant seem to figure out how to get content details to hover over an image in a portfolio as per your demo???

Thank you in advance!

Default-user

Hi, thanks so much for your reply. To clarify – I can see the fields to add this content in the wordpress backend – but nothing shows up when I hover over the images. I wondered if I had removed something via css to prevent this being visible?

When I add content it shows up bottom right of the image – its present before mouse hovers over the image. So, its still not working as the demo does.

Thanks!!!!

Hey,

I think you might be missing a difference between two types of pages:

1. There is so called portfolio index page like this: http://inthe.me/demo/fluxus/portfolio/ It lists all your projects. A featured image of every project is shown and when you hover it the title and excerpt of a project appears.

2. There is also project page: http://inthe.me/demo/fluxus/portfolio/photography/iceland-by-greta-tu/ This page shows all the images and videos of a single project. Hovering an image doesn’t suppose to show any additional information. On the bottom right of the image you can see the description of the image, which is present all the time.

I guess you are expecting your project page to look like projects index page, which is not possible at the moment.

Yes, I was expecting it to look like the example actually. Hence the purchase :) So the reason I cant get my folio to look like the example is because its not possible? Good answer! ;0

There is a bug on the Contacts template. If you shrink the window vertically smaller than the content on the pageā€”an empty white box appears in the right side of the layout (in Safari). Anyone know what’s causing the issue? Thank you.

intheme

Hey,

that white box is a scrollbar. Try using your trackpad or mouse to scroll the page and you should see it move. I’ve just noticed that it doesn’t react to simple dragging, which I’ll fix in the next version.

Hello

Every time I rearrange my pictures in a portfolio and click update it doesn’t save the order. The files get mixed up in a random order and I have to manually re-arrange them again.

When I re-arrange and try to update it does the same again, often followed by an internal server error. What is causing this issue? I have 50 or so files so manually moving each one each time for it not to save is wasting a lot of time.

Any help appreciated.

intheme

Hey,

sorry for the frustration. Which version of Fluxus are you using? There was an issue with earlier versions, where the order was being autosaved automatically. Thus if you re-arrange your images and click Update then the autosave request gets interrupted and your order changes are lost. This is especially prone to error when you have many images, since then autosave process takes a longer time.

As of version 1.2.4 this is fixed and order is no longer autosaved, but rather saved once you click Update. I strongly suggest you to update.

Hi Vilius, thanks for the reply and help. Just checked and I have version 1.2.3 but when i go to the Update tab in Wordpress it says all my themes are up to date. Is there another way I can update to the new version?

Default-user

it’s okay, figures it out. Many thanks.

Hi, great theme. I need to put photo caption under the picture and not over, that’s possible? Thanks emiliano

intheme

Hey,

thanks! No, captions under the images are not supported. Although you are not the first one asking for this and I saw some people customising their themes so that captions appear under the images. It’s a good idea, so I’ll look into implementing it in future versions.

Cheers, Vilius

Default-user

ok, I’m going to do by myself, I know quite well css language, just a question, I don’t know very well wordpress, so if I want to change the code to create a div that wraps images and caption, if you think it’s a good idea, which file I have to act on the theme core? I need to do that, the caption are important in this case. Thanks.

Before opening a portfolio, it has picture, title, subtitle, and a button that says “View Work”. I’ve been trying to find it in the editor files, but I was unsuccessful. How can I change it?

Default-user

Please

Default-user

Nvm fixed it.

Also, is there a way to change the order of portfolios after being made?????

Default-user

Nvm i got it.

Hi, after I updated the new version, there are 2 problems.

1) For the home page slider, I can’t set a custom position for the info box. It’s only allowed me to center the text.

2) In a blog, I can’t resize photos e.g. on this page (http://weddingphotographyguy.com/publish-engagement-bridesmaid/), i want to make both photos the same width but it doesn’t work even I specified their width and height.

I would appreciate if you can help.

thanks

Is there a way to make a page specifically a Grid Portfolio with certain portfolios and another page specifically a Horizontal Portolio with different portfolios???

Hi there, Just wondering if theres any way of removing the text that is overlaid on a featured image when viewing a post?

It would be great if it could be turned off and on for specific posts.

Thanks, Louis.

Default-user

Update has fixed it. Thanks.

Hallo. You did not answer my last (and first) question. I hope you will answer this one. I really need help: I am reading the following:

“WARNING! If you are willing to update this theme, do not edit this file. To make any changes please add any new CSS rules to user.css

I am unable to find the “user.css”

Can you please help me locate this?

Thank you

Erik

reposting because it seems the only way to get a response, if at all. :\ – V I understand there’s only one of you and heaps of us..so many a forum is needed?

original message from 9 days ago.

Hey V – how do we change the size of the thumbnails on vertical blogs? I’ve tried editing the ”.vertical-blog .thumbnail img {” section of the CSS stylesheet but nothing seems to be changing for photos (videos scale up when i change that but nothing else does)

I also edited the themes function file re. “add_image_size( ‘fluxus-thumbnail’, 883, 628, true );” (rather than 583) but nothing has changed either? I did make a new blog post AFTER i edited all this as i know that wordpress doesn’t automatically regenerate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! cheers xx

Default-user

oh wait it seems to be changing the images! But in strange ways! aka not keeping aspect ratio. O_O

Default-user

...it randomly stopped working. i’m so confused ahhaha

Default-user

Ugh why isn’t themeforest letting me edit comments. Anyway, i finally got it to work but I had to edit one of the thumbnail tags further down in the CSS which you didn’t say to touch…but yeah…

I am thinking of buying this beautiful theme.

Two questions about customizability. Can I insert a logo graphic and can I create a background graphic?

intheme

Hey,

yes, there are theme options which allow you to upload a custom logo. Website background image is not supported by default, but it’s only a matter of adding a single line of CSS. I could surely help you with that.

Hello!

I can’t figure out how to set up the homepage with the “HELLO Homepage” template as shown in the demo: http://inthe.me/demo/fluxus/homepage/hello-homepage/ I hope you can help me! Thanks

intheme

Hey,

all you have to do is to create a new page and set it’s template to “Page with Background”. Then set a featured image, which will be displayed in the background.

Cheers, Vilius

Default-user

Oh! Thanks! It works now!

Hi, is there a way to output Photo metadata as in name of image file.

akranm Purchased

Hi, is there a way to output Photo metadata as in name of image file.

I would like to be able to click on a project image instead of having to click on ‘View Work’. I might be able to do this adding some jQuery, but do you have a suggestion. I see that when the screen size is smaller, clicking on the image brings you to the portfolio. I’d like that feature in full screen size too.

Hello, Great theme. 1 question, how I can control the speed of slider on homepage?

intheme

Hey,

thanks. The speed can be controlled via slider options. Find them by editing your page with a Full Page Slider template. Click “Add Media”, select “Slider” tab and on the right side there will be an option to specify speed. Here’s a screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/3M2v3s0B1x2e

Cheers, Vilius

intheme

BTW, this option was introduced in later versions. If you can’t see it, then make sure you have the latest version of Fluxus, which is 1.2.4

I want pretty much everything in this theme to be sorted by posted date, not menu order or post ID.

I’ve figured this out in the Admin and as well as the main portfolio grid view… but I cannot get it to work anywhere else.

I’m pretty sure I’ve hunted it down to this section in portfolio/porfolio.php:

/** * Orders project by menu_order ASC and ID desc. */ function fluxus_portfolio_orderby_filter( $orderby ) { /** * Limit the use for a very specific case. */ if ( 'wp_posts.menu_order,wp_posts.ID DESC' == $orderby ) { return 'wp_posts.menu_order ASC, wp_posts.ID DESC'; } return $orderby; }

Can you help? It’d be great in the next version if you could give us some sorting options. Date is critical for me.
