Your Tumblr Theme was included in the 16 Best Tumblr Themes post on Webelemint. Check it out and maybe tweet or share it?
Thanks!
Hey Mike,
Thank you very much for sharing my themes. Will fire a tweet shortly
Mike
Great theme you got there. I only have one problem with it: when posting a video (for example from vimeo) the post details overlay the video itself – is there any chance to remove the post details just for videos? Or move it below the video? Thanks in advance!
Hey Jakob,
Glad you like it!
Sure thing, if you send a message from my profile page, Support will help you out!
Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
How can i show full size images on the blog? I use focus as an image blog; http://vintagetechads.janhermenploeg.nl, but it seems Google Chrome does not show my images at their full size.
here a permalink to one of my posts; http://vintagetechads.janhermenploeg.nl/post/42022020285 and here is the deeplink to the image shown in that specific post: http://25.media.tumblr.com/4934df202b040bf69508aaf73b0f5d13/tumblr_mhjphz3xis1s4h6dco1_1280.jpgHow can I have images shown full size or at least a very large size on the blog page?
many thanks, Jan
Hey Jan,
Thanks for getting in touch. You need to disable ‘Enable Vertical Images’ in the Theme Options.
‘Enable Vertical Images’ sets images to a maximum height of 80% of the viewers vertical screen size, so that image is fully viewable without scrolling.
Many Thanks
Mike
hey
was hoping you could tell me how to add in a “like” function to the hover menu. Love the theme. Excellent.
Hey,
Can you message: support@mikedidthis.co.uk with further details about the ‘like’ feature.
Many Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
How can I show the post details permanently visible under the post (instead of to the upper left), like when you resize/minimize the browser window?
Awesome theme btw!
Cheers!
Hey Martindogg.
If you message: support@mikedidthis.co.uk I will get a support article created with details on the change.
Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
please add alpha.app.net support in addition to twitter. thanks
Greetings Jake
Hi Jake,
Is this a request? I will see what I can do, but no promises.
Thanks
Mike
yes, a request
Mike,
I notice that number of comments, permalink, share, etc. are displayed in the details of each post. Why is there no notation of post notes? Is there a way to add post notes into that list of details?
Thanks.
Oh, also… if you notice, I manually added the icon for my RSS feed after after the Tumblr icon. (http://speltr.com) Just a suggestion, but perhaps you would consider adding RSS to the theme options in the next update…
Hey Johnjsavo,
Thanks for the message, replies below:
1) This article gives details on adding a post notes count to the details. Originally the theme was designed without them, at the time I was new to Tumblr. I will try and add it as an option in the next version: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/850462-add-notes-count-to-post-details
2) This article gives details on adding a RSS feed in the social links. Again, it was something I didn’t see as a feature at the time, but will do my best to add it as an option in the next update: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/850643-add-rss-feed---social-links
Anything else, feel free to contact: support@mikedidthis.co.uk
Thanks
Mike
I think this is by far the best Tumblr theme anywhere.
In use at http://speltr.com
Any chance this theme will ever be coded for WordPress?
Hey Johnjsavo!
Thank you. Maybe, but I can’t say much more!
Hi Mike,
i added the Piwik tracker code to the theme but can’t get it to work. any tip where i should insert the code?
Greetings Jake
Hey Jake.
I had to look up what a ‘Piwik Tracker’ was. Any tracking code should go directly before the closing body tag:
If your still stuck please email: support@mikedidthis.co.uk
Thanks
Mike
For the text posts you can include images, but the images and text don’t span the entire column. See example: http://artfromconcentrate.tumblr.com/post/39992398908/featured-artist-christina-boyer
Can you make it so the images span the entire column? Would love much nicer.
Thanks,
Ahren
Hey Ahren,
I have sent a reply to your support question.
For future reference, its mainly to do with not exceeding the recommended characters per line, and the limitations of Tumblr, which doesn’t allow images inside a text post to be wider than 500px.
Thanks
Mike
Hi there! Just bought your theme – looks great. I have ones question about the LinkedIn Account. Currently, the URL is coded for a personal page (www.linkedin.com/in) however, I’m needing the LinkedIn page to be a company page (www.linkedin.com/company).
Is there any way to modify this?
Thanks!
Hey!
Glad you like the theme. This should help: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/911871-change-linkedin-profile-link
Anything else, please message: support@mikedidthis.co.uk
Thanks
Mike
Worked like a charm – thanks!
I just downloaded and installed this at http://janetlackey.tumblr.com/
it’s beautiful! and I think this is going to work but I am having a big issue (literally, haha) I can’t figure out:
some of my photos are showing up HUGE – stretching way larger than they actually are. looks like this is for posts that have multiple images but also some single image posts. how can I fix this? I have “enable image stretching” unchecked and I have “enable portrait image” checked. is there something else I am missing?
thanks for your hard work!
Hey Janet,
Sorry to hear you having issues. Basically the theme looks to allows load the largest version of an image. Tumblrs largest is 1280px. In your case, images that Tumblr classes as 1280px wide, are actually a lot less (around 600 – 800px) so look distorted.
My advice would to check ‘Enable Vertical Images’ which may help the issue. Other than that if you can message: support@mikedidthis.co.uk I will try and get some Custom CSS written to counter act the stretching.
Thanks
Mike
where can I change the color of my links?
Hi,
Its tide into ‘Main Heading Colour’. If you want the heading / links to be different, you can style the links with Custom CSS:
p a { colour: #ccc; }
Thanks
Mike
