Thanks for the theme.

Everything has gone according to plan except for;

  • Top menu does not appears to have a roll-over effect and no drop menu *The bottom text on the featured post of the front page doesn’t appear. All there is is four dots ”...”

Any help would be great.

Maurice

Hi

I tested the theme on Internet Explorer 8 in 1024×768 and there is an error. The left sidebar is OK but the right column with content is not right, it’s below the menu and not on the right!

Could you try and tell us how we could correct this problem.

Thanks!

Has anyone discovered a solution to this yet? I’m experiencing the same issue on IE and sometimes on Firefox. Wondering if it’s because I’m on the latest version of Wordpress or perhaps the All in One SEO pack plugin I installed. I tried to disable that plugin but it didn’t fix it. Would love to hear if there’s a fix!

Thanks! Jen

I like the theme (purchased).

Question. In the far upper left corner. It’s adding a period ”.” to my blog name/title. I’ve figured out that it’s changing the name from text > image (via javascript), but I can’t seem to find the code that adds the extra period.

I’d like to remove the ”.”

Please advise.

I can not get the featured image to appear larger in my container. I altered the themes php to ‘yesterday’ instead of NOW to no avail. It just simply appears as a thumnail instead of a header image. I looked through previous posts and nobody mentions how they fixed it except for the prior fix which doesn’t help me.

The domain I’m trying to fix is www.melissascoppajewelry.com

Does anyone have any ideas? Any help is super appreciated. I’m tearing my hair out. Thanks~

@ bhamm

To fix the period problem, go to your editor in the appearance tab and the first line in the sidebar.php reads as this:

<(h)1><(a) href=”<?php echo get_option(‘home’); ?>/”><?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?>.</(a)></(h)1>

You want to get delete the period in between the >< right after the question mark at the end of this code. Please excuse the parentheses around the “h’s” and “a’s”. I couldn’t get the code to appear any other way.

This should fix it.

Also…. I was having a problem getting the featured thumbnail for this theme to work properly. Out of the blue for no apparent reason, today, it began working. So if you are having an issue with this themes featured thumbnail, give it a day to load. Just give the name “featured” and the value “true” and wait a day.

Hi there,

I too love this theme. It’s great. I’ve read all the discussion pages to find an answer to the problem of the ”...” appearing as the description under the featured post.

If someone could please post up an answer for this, that would be wonderful.

Also, I’d just like to say thanks to Maximus for the great design and also for the second answer you provided for the ‘home’ button at the top as i was struggling with that :)

@svati: You can get rid of these ’...’ under your featured article if you’ll edit your ‘index.php’ which should be located unter ’/wp-content/themes/folio/index.php’

In line 12 there is a <-more->-Tag you have to replace with the number of letters you want to have shown. In the non-featured article it is set to a value of 204.

I personally like the ‘435’ while I’m using justification in my articles.

Greetings

Hi Maximus

Can you please tell us how you implemented the hover nav for subpages on the Folio demo? What plugins did you use (if any?)

Because it’s in the demo I thought it was included in the template. Now I’m faced with having to figure out how to do it myself, but since it’s working on the demo a few hints would be nice…

Cheers Reuben

Same here, really liked the nav for subpages.

The demo has jQuery and Suckerfish in the header, but the download has Mootools? Do we have an old version of this? Just purchased this today.

I am having trouble loading the FlickrRss plugin.

After following the instructions, on the getting started doc, and then the FlickrRss Common problems.

The only result I can can get is the “Photos” Title on the sidebar, No photos.

Has anyone else had this problem, or is there some problem with the theme.
