Think i may have resolved the image issue (think they were too big in actual size) they were under 5mb but physical size was 1900×1200 would this have caused the issue?
Also when pictures have uploaded they don’t show on the feature section or portfolio, I’m just getting a blue box with question mark in.
Any ideas here??

Image uploading is in charge of WordPress, the file /home/b/y/bythefire/public_html/wp-includes/media.php is a part of WordPress that known for main image processing, there might be a limitation in WordPress or, and most probably, in your site PHP setting. Anyway, just a guess, for a real answer, contact the WordPress support or your Host support.
About blue box with question mark, could you send me a link so that i can see it?

why would there be a limitation for image uploading within wordpress? i am running the current release of wordpress and your latest theme all from a fresh install.

Yep, i have done some search but have no idea of it by far, the Timthumb script reports it couldn’t find your source image. You can see the message by right click on the broken image and ‘view image in new tab’
I think you can have a try of the latest version of Timthumb
1. Download the latest Timthumb from the official site http://www.binarymoon.co.uk/projects/timthumb/
2. Rename it to ‘thumb.php’ and replace ../folioway/core/thumb.php with it 3. Reload your home page
If it doesn’t help, contact the Timthumb author and your host supporting, i’m sure they will be happy to help.

For me when i select “media” , first not marked advertinsing but “media”. And it’s not possible to put one or two more.

So, we’ve tried just about everything (including contacting a WPML consultant, Senlin) and we still can’t get the theme (mostly the slider) to be completely compatible with WPML .
Senlin tried to make the site work with the Folioway slider, as well as with the wordpress RoyalSlider plugin, and even after several debugging runs, the site still isn’t quite functional. I was wondering if you’d be able to work with the WPML developers to make Folioway multi-lingual friendly?

As of i know, WPML has already been compatible to Folioway since couple months ago. Only you cannot make use of the ‘Media’ option when setting up the slider, and that’s because WPML doesn’t have a multi-language solution for images, besides that, all should work well.
BTW , it shows you haven’t purchase this theme, if you did, please make sure to use the buyer account for asking questions so that i can help, thanks.

It depends on the font adapted, the default font is ‘Aller’, if it doesn’t support your language, you can always upload a font that works for you inside of the admin panel.
please help… 2 questions.
1. when i log into www.insectoart.com i can see my latest works but when i click on the home page the latest works section disappears… why? i tried to redirect the page to the right permalink but didn’t work…
2. i cannot create a drop down menu for my portfolio why? i created the portfolio categories but when i go into appearance> menus> categories i don’t see any to add to my menu… why?

The right part is the tagline, you can drag and drop it to beside or below the logo when ‘instant position’ is enabled in Folioway -> General settings -> Customize

1) how do i rearrange the ‘clients’ section? I want them in a specific order! 2) How do I rearrange the porfolio items? I would want them in a specific order as well when they are all showing all together!
1. Clients order is controlled by their ratings
2. Portfolio items can be ordered by a custom number, however from Folioway 1.4 that is not yet released, but soon.
One last question – how to slow the transition of the homepage slider?
Option for interval time is in Folioway -> Featured Panel -> Settings and Folioway -> Fetured Panel -> items (expanded)

I am currently using this theme on my site but have a question about the blog:
Is there a way for the display image (featured image) on the blog page to show at full size or a larger size? That thin rectangle just doesnt work well for my artwork.
Ideally – I would like the featured image to remain the same width BUT show the full image length of whatever I tell it the featured image is – basically so that the featured image can vary in size height.

Sure, by default, the blog page shows excerpt of each post which is just a plain text, and a pre-formatted thumbnail of this post.
You can turn off the thumbnail function, and order the blog page to show content of each post so that images/videos in the post can be displayed, both options are in Folioway -> general settings -> blog

Set a category for your portfolio post and that message gone. And this has been fixed in incoming Folioway v1.4 by a ‘Uncategorized’ word, thanks for issue report, appreciate it!

Thanks for answering me about the tagline. Now, can I change the font of a page title that appears when we click on a page ? And is it possible to reduce the big space below and above a page title? Also, I can’t figure out how to change the font-size of my portfolio categories. Last question, how to I get rid of the black line with the phone number above the site?

Font of the page title can be changed in “Folioway
> General settings> custom” where you can upload a font to replace the built-in font “Aller”, while others cannot be changed without customization.One more question about the blog aesthetic – is there any way to change the width of the main blog column? Right now that images that I feature have to be 640wide, which is larger than some people like to provide. I would love to take the column down to 600wide – is that possible?

Nope without customization, you can change it in style.css but keep in mind that change column width may result in more changes on various affected elements.
Last and final question
I am finally ready to start a new portfolio on one of my sites but am having a thumbnail issue.
The thumbnail do not crop to a nice looking thumbnail – my image is just squeezed down from full size. SO – I created a thumbnail that was interesting but when I set that as my featured image – the image that pops up with the viewer is the thumbnail that I made.
I guess what I am saying is 1. how do I set the featured image to crop out a close up of my full-size image OR how can set up a different thumbnail while still having my main image be the pop-up image.
I hope this makes sense.

All you need to do is go to the editting page, remain your thumbnail as the featured image, but paste the URL of your full-size image to the option box “Lightbox Media” in “Folioway General Post Options” metabox.
